    Head of Communications and Fundraising:

    The Head of Communications and Fundraising is a key member of the RGHS Leadership team with responsibility for developing and delivering communication and marketing strategies, particularly focusing on print, media and digital channels. The role also has lead responsibility for fundraising and event management for the school, including management of our alumnae relations.

    In particular, the incumbent will take overall responsibility for:

    • Planning, budgeting and developing the marketing and fundraising functions
    • Marketing and communications leadership ensuring we achieve publicity, awareness and parent and learner engagement
    • Event management
    • Fundraising leadership, ensuring growth of the portfolio through active alumnae relations management, sponsorship and funding proposal management

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing and/or communication is essential
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Communication and Fundraising at managerial level
    • Proven track record of successful marketing and publicity strategies as well as sourcing funding and sponsorships
    • Experience with electronic and social media is essential
    • Production of school magazines or similar print projects
    • Experience in planning, budgeting, coordinating and hosting of large events

    Skills and abilities:

    • Ability to plan, implement and monitor strategies
    • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to write clearly, concisely, accurately and persuasively
    • Demonstrable track record of having excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities, deadlines and own workload
    • Innovative, creative and a self-starter
    • Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to meet and talk face-to-face with a range of diverse people – business people, donors, parents and staff - with ease and confidence
    • Ability to identify publicity opportunities
    • Ability to understand and manage a diverse environment
    • Be informed about current events as they impact and play out in the school environment e.g. BLM, GBV

    Head of Finance:

    The Head of Finance is responsible for the accurate and effective management of the school finance and accounting systems and the management of the finance department. It will be their responsibility to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all accounting related data. They are a key member of the RGHS Leadership Team.

    Competencies and qualities required for the post:

    Qualifications and experience:

    • Qualified Chartered Accountant OR BCom with articles.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience at managerial level
    • Experience with Auditing processes and procedures
    • Pastel (or other related accounting package)
    • Advanced Excel

    Skills and abilities:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational and administrative skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Ability to manage expectations and ensure delivery of service

    • Strong work ethic
    • Principled, data based and firm with demanding customers (parents) and staff
