    AssureCloud Sales Executive (Training), Midrand

    Purpose

    • The Sales Executive  Assurecloud Training is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding market share within the food safety training portfolio. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and delivering tailored training solutions to meet client needs.
    • This role plays a key part in promoting Assurecloud’s training services, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and contributing to sustainable and profitable business growth. The Sales Executive will actively engage in prospecting, client presentations, negotiations, and closing deals, while collaborating with internal operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Regular face-to-face client engagement is required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and analyse potential customer accounts across all service lines and market segments.
    • Prioritise client engagement based on strategic value and service offering.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in a sales role, preferably in a B2B environment.
    • Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience related to Customer service.

    AssureCloud Microbiology Analyst, Port Elizabeth

    Purpose:

    • The Microbiology Laboratory Analyst is responsible for planning and performing microbiological testing on samples submitted to the laboratory, ensuring quality, accuracy and adherence to required turnaround times.
    • The role includes conducting tests, verifying results, maintaining laboratory instruments, and ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and organizational OHS and quality standards. As an ambassador for AssureCloud, the Analyst is expected to uphold and promote the company’s brand, values, and service promise.

    Responsibilities:

    Performing Analysis

    • Conduct routine and complex microbiological tests independently.
    • Perform sample preparation, culturing, enumeration, and identification.
    • Perform troubleshooting of methods, equipment, and test deviations.
    • Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and microbiological best practices.

    Verification of Results

    • Verify and interpret microbiological results against known standards and reference data.
    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all test results.
    • Record and release results into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

    Technical Improvements

    • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory efficiency and workflow.
    • Assist in method optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Adherence to Turnaround Times (TAT)

    • Prioritize and schedule work to meet departmental turnaround times.
    • Provide early warning notifications to the supervisor regarding potential TAT delays.

    Instrument Monitoring and Maintenance

    • Oversee daily performance and operation of microbiology laboratory equipment.
    • Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, calibration, and maintenance.
    • Report service, repair, and calibration needs promptly to management.

    Health, Safety & Quality Assurance

    • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations and laboratory biosafety protocols.
    • Follow ISO 17025 quality system requirements and contribute to audit readiness.

    • Maintain acceptable proficiency testing scores.

    Cost Management

    • Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of consumables, reagents, and media.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • BSc Degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Food Science (with Microbiology major), or Medical Laboratory Science; or
    • National Diploma in Biotechnology or Microbiology

    Additional advantageous training:

    • ISO 17025 Internal Auditor Training
    • Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
    • HACCP or Food Safety Training
    • Occupational Health & Safety Training

    Experience:

    • 1–2 years’ practical experience in a microbiology laboratory.
    • Experience with classical microbiological methods: culturing, enumeration, isolation, identification.
    • Experience working within an ISO 17025 accredited environment.
    • Familiarity with microbiological equipment: incubators, autoclaves, biological safety cabinets, pH meters, colony counters.
    • Experience with LIMS and laboratory documentation practices.
    • Experience troubleshooting microbiological methods or contamination events.

    AssureCloud Chemistry Lab Manager , Midrand

    Purpose:

    • To plan and execute chemical testing of samples in accordance with SANAS 17025 standards, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant results that support food safety and quality assurance.
    • AssureCloud is establishing a residue and contaminant testing laboratory in Cape Town to deliver EU export-compliant analytical capability across food, feed, water, and related matrices. We are recruiting the senior technical hire who will help build it.
    • This is not a maintenance role. The successful candidate will commission and operate newly installed triple-quadrupole LC and GC systems and an ICP-MS, develop and validate methods from the ground up, and shape the analytical workflows that the laboratory will run on. It suits an experienced, independent scientist who wants to build capability rather than inherit it.

    Responsibilities:

    Instrument operation and support

    • Operate advanced instrumentation independently
    • Troubleshoot, calibrate, optimise, and maintain instruments
    • Support setup, commissioning, and implementation of new systems
    • Monitor instrument performance and analytical quality indicators

    Method development and validation

    • Lead method transfer, optimisation, and development
    • Design and execute verification and validation studies
    • Produce validation documentation aligned to ISO/IEC 17025 and Eurachem principles
    • Support flexible-scope implementation where applicable

    Laboratory and quality

    • Maintain compliance with the laboratory quality management system

    • A BSc Honours or MSc is ideal; a BTech or BSc backed by strong, directly relevant experience (advantageous). 

    Experience:

    • 3 years hands-on experience in a regulated analytical laboratory, or demonstrable equivalent capability
    • Exposure to SANAS ISO/IEC 17025 accredited environments.
    • Demonstrable experience on at least one of LC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS, or ICP-MS (advantageous) 
    • Proven residue or contaminant testing experience
    • Track record in method transfer, optimisation, and validation

    Skills & Knowledge:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Familiarity with instruments such as ICP-MS, UV-Vis, and AAS.
