    Sales Support Specialist - Special Kits Requests (SKR)- P2

    The role 

    • To focus on the sales and inventory management of the product lines (Special Kits Requests) by being a key interface between the key internal and external stakeholders. Managing the portfolio with regular updates on competitor activity and progress on the development plan for sustainable growth. Working with the sales teams to develop a sales funnel that will meet or exceed that the sales targets that have been set for the portfolio.

    Key Performance Areas

    • Be the key contact between regional Sales teams and Divisional Portfolio teams to support portfolio offerings locally. 
    • Avail and distribute all relevant portfolio offering information (including offering make up and combinations, technical material, marketing/branding material etc.) to sales teams in a timely way. 
    • Support Business Line with strategic business plan and implementation thereof in collaboration with the sales force and the operations team 
    • Liaise between sales teams and portfolio teams on any queries related to portfolio offerings 
    • Align with regional pricing team to ensure pricing for each offering is within pricing guidelines as part of the quoting process 
    • Manage changes and updates to portfolio specifications after initial introduction to Sales Areas 
    • Strong project management skills to ensure customer orders are effectively executed.
    • Provide training and updates to sale

    Your Profile 

    • Bachelors’ Degree or 3-year Diploma (business or commercial) 
    • At least 3 years’ experience in a sales or customer service environment 
    • Knowledge of Aftermarket parts, components and products  
    • Business development experience 
    • Understanding and knowledge of sales tools and processes
    • High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
    • Attentive to detail
    • Ability to positivity influence stakeholders 
    • Ability to organize, prioritize and complete multiple tasks under tight time constraints
    • Good time management, prioritizing, and organizing skills.
    • Flexible, and self-motivated with demonstrated initiative and independence.
    • Ability to troubleshoot, identify and initiate solutions.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both face-to-face and virtually
    • Computer literacy 
    • English proficiency
    • Valid driver’s licence

    • 1 -  2 years Supervisory experience
    • Knowledge of Aftermarket parts, components and products  
    • Business development experience 
    • Understanding and knowledge of sales tools and processes
    • High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
    • Attentive to detail

    Technical specialist - P2

    The Role

    • To support the Technical Support Manager and Contract Manager in supplying the correct Top Hammer products and maximizing the performance of the Top Hammer drill string at the customer site and actively lead the customer in the correct usage of the products to maximize the performance of the Sandvik Top Hammer drilling equipment, promoting products and services, with a view to expand sales and maximize the profitability of the Top Hammer business.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor Top Hammer equipment performance against set standards.
    • Perform gap analysis on Top Hammer equipment and make recommendations to Technical Support Manager, Contract Manager, and customer on how to maximize Top Hammer drilling equipment performance.
    • Provide input to the Contract Manager and/or Supervisor on ordering of all Top Hammer equipment for the site.
    • Coach Ground Engaging Tools (GET) Operatives and Operators on the correct handling and usage of Top Hammer drill equipment to minimize the operational cost for the customer.
    • Make the customer aware of the latest Sandvik’s product technology enhancements to guide the customer in making an informed decision on the products to use to achieve better drilling performance.
    • Maintain high levels of service with both internal and external customers.
    • Continuously improve and update personal knowledge with respect to product development and technical innovation.

    Profile Required

    • Grade 12/equivalent qualification
    • GET level 1 and 2.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in Top Hammer drilling is essential.
    • Blasting certificate/Mechanical trade (advantageous)
    • A well-developed understanding of the mining/construction/quarrying industry
    • Strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) focus
    • Good understanding of Mine Health and Safety Regulations
    • Knowledge of and experience with any Sandvik Mining Rock Tools product range
    • Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team.
    • In depth understanding of customer business processes (advantageous)
    • Highly developed time management and organizational skills
    • Highly developed interpersonal skills
    • Computer literacy
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High level of initiative and determination to achieve goals and targets set for customer satisfaction.
    • Physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.
    • Valid driver’s licence
