    Field Sales Manager

    ROLE OVERVIEW 

    • The Field Sales Manager plays an extensive role in driving customer and shopper demand, increasing customer engagement and ensuring we win on the ground. The Field Sales Manager is responsible for managing the field sales operations in a territory or geographical region as well as directing the activities of our 3rd party sales and merchandising agency in order to deliver our targets. 

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Manage field sales operations across the inland territory and direct the third-party sales and merchandising agency to deliver net sales, distribution, volume growth, forward share and market share targets.
    • Achieve monthly sales, new account and key product targets, growing volume and market share of the branded Sea Harvest business across major retailers and mid-trade.
    • Complete store visits weekly and provide feedback on trade.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, store managers, perishable managers and merchandisers through regular in-store visits.
    • Identify growth opportunities in store.
    • Ensure product availability, prominent display and maximum facings at point of purchase, maintaining stock levels on focus products and correct stock rotation.
    • Manage short-dated stock, trade returns and wastage, and drive compliance.
    • Monitor competitor, category and pricing activity, conduct weekly price surveys and report insights to the Key Account and Marketing teams.
    • Compile and maintain sales reports and accurate customer records and monitor adherence to territory budgets.
    • Coordinate wet demos and in-store activations, liaising with Vector and the promotions agency

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12 with a Sales and Marketing Certificate / Diploma.
    • At least 3 years' experience within a sales / target-driven environment.
    • Sound understanding of sales strategies, concepts and commercial objectives.
    • Experience in developing and interpreting sales reports.
    • Computer literacy in MS Office, with high proficiency in MS Excel.

    Business Systems Analyst

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    • Understands the role of IT systems in an organization and determines the best technologies to increase an organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. Optimize business processes through the use of workflow and automation technologies. Oversees the installation and configuration of systems to customize them to fit the organization’s needs. Tests systems and train organization on how to use systems. Develops and documents business objectives, data requirements, processing documentation and specifications.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Addressing business requirements through existing or new best-of-breed applications, and compiling business cases for 3rd parties to meet this need where applicable.
    • Maintaining and growing all internal business systems.
    • Building effective relationships with clients (mostly internal) to establish a shared vision for projects.
    • Managing client expectations through careful, proactive communication regarding requirements and changes.
    • Applying negotiation skills to reach final consensus on a common set of requirements across all stakeholders.

    QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Technology or similar with relevant certifications.
    • 5+ years’ experience in the manufacturing industry.
    • 3+ years’ experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
    • Hands on experience with Office 365, SharePoint Online and Azure.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

    • Strong communication and active-listening skills.
    • Well organised, with a solid grasp of business processes and systems.
    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong analytical thinking.
    • Strong computer literacy in relevant applications

    Crew Office Administrator

    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    • To strategically oversee the entire crewing process, encompassing the meticulous verification and organization of all essential vessel and crew documentation and deployment of vessels in accordance and adherence to SAMSA and company standards.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Administrate crewing requirements of vessel effectively and timeously

    • Assemble the necessary crew members for the vessel before it sails – through Mintor
    • Ensure that vessel provisions/stores are stocked as specified.
    • Administrate crew members shore leave and required documentation effectively.

    Conduct required crew adjustments at sea during emergency situations

    • When an emergency arises, substitute seafaring personnel with other personnel.
    • Communicate with the captain timeously and choose a meeting location in close proximity to the vessels.

    Administrate safe manning of vessels.

    • Consult with SAMSA regarding the documentation and legal requirements pertaining to vessels.
    • Obtain required safety certificates for vessels timeously.
    • Provide support in the efficient and effective execution of skipper and vessel licensing.

    Manage and administrate vessels and report on vessel movement

    • Timeously report to Fleet manager on vessel movement.
    • Conduct total costings on each vessel accurately when at sea.
    • Administrate VMS and DAFF on vessels with regards to tracking systems of vessels.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Diploma in Business Administration, Maritime Studies or Office Administration (advantageous)
    • +5 years’ experience within field of work - crewing
    • Experience in crewing, shipping, fishing, marine, or logistics environments preferred
    • Experience working with crew scheduling and personnel administration.
    • Valid code B drivers license

    KEY COMPETENCIES:

    • Report preparation and administration support
    • Understanding of maritime and fishing industry regulations
    • Knowledge of labour legislation and employment contracts
    • Management of crew records and personnel files
    • Scheduling and coordination of crew changes
