Job Description

• To develop, design and maintain the solution architectures for specific business functional/technical areas within Data and Analytics. To participate in the definition of the higher-level functional and non-functional requirements, analyse technical trade-offs, determine the major components and subsystems, and define the interfaces and collaborations between them, safeguarding the strategic alignment of technology architecture with the agreed business outcomes. 

Solution Design & Architecture

• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Define data architecture standards, patterns, and best practices.
• Lead the selection of appropriate technologies, platforms, and tools for data solutions.

Enterprise Data Strategy

• Contribute to the development and execution of enterprise data strategies.
• Align data architecture with business goals, digital transformation initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote data as a strategic asset across the organization.

Data Modeling & Integration

• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Architect data integration solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Ensure data consistency, quality, and lineage across systems.

Cloud & Platform Architecture

• Design and implement cloud-native data solutions (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Evaluate and integrate data platforms such as data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouses.
• Optimize data storage, compute, and processing architectures.

Governance, Security & Compliance

• Embed data governance principles into solution design.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., POPIA, GDPR).
• Implement data security controls, access management, and encryption strategies.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with business units, data engineers, analysts, and IT teams.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and data solutions.
• Present architectural decisions and roadmaps to senior leadership.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in data architecture.
• Drive innovation in data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML enablement.
• Continuously improve architecture for performance, cost-efficiency, and agility.

Mentorship & Leadership

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to data engineering and analytics teams.
• Establish architectural review processes and promote knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to talent development and capability building in data disciplines.

Qualifications

Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Information Studies
Other Minimum Qualifications, certifications or professional memberships

• Relevant Architecture Certification;
• AWS Certification advantageous 
• TOGAF Frameworks 

Experience Required

• Knowledge and experience working with and implementing internationally recognised frameworks; such as TOGAF, Zachman etc. Proven track record of comprehensive analysis and architectural skills to drive delivery of architectural constructs and artefacts in line with business strategy

Job Description

• Provide expert technical support to executives, ensuring confidentiality and swift resolution of issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for all technology-related matters, delivering solutions to both technical and non-technical users. Specialize in MS Office 365, operating systems, and associated subsystems, while managing issues with a focus on customer satisfaction. Additionally, offer guidance to other End User Support staff, focusing on collaboration to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

• Licenses/ certification for Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT), CompTIA A+ Certification, ITIL Foundations v3, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
• 5-7 years' practical experience in an advanced support role within large/medium size organisation including experience in AD Account Management and End-User technical support
• Ensure confidential communication by discreetly updating stakeholders on issue progress, safeguarding sensitive information while reinforcing trust and keeping all relevant parties informed throughout resolution
• Analytical expertise to dissect problems and interpersonal strength to collaborate effectively, fostering open communication and solution-focused teamwork that drives problem-solving and enhances collective success
• Leverage Microsoft Office 365 to document incidents, create clear reports, and communicate updates effectively, ensuring documentation that supports transparency, accuracy, and efficient information sharing across stakeholders

• This role requires a strong hunter mindset, excellent networking capabilities, and a high closing ratio to successfully convert leads into long-term clients.
• Actively identify, target, and acquire new clients to expand the fleet management portfolio.
• Leverage industry connections and market insights to generate high-quality leads and uncover new business opportunities.
• Present and position fleet cards, managed maintenance, full maintenance leasing, and Standard Bank’s value added products to meet client needs.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate key markets and industries.
• Effectively convert leads into signed agreements through strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
• Work closely with relationship managers and internal teams to ensure a seamless client acquisition process.
