    Senior Planner: Sportscene

    Job Description

    • The Planner III is responsible for mentoring the Merchandise Planning Team, projecting future sales into key categories, and optimizing planning processes. This includes managing range assortments and replenishment, implementing distribution strategies, and providing guidance and support to team members.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive product efficiencies and key measures – sales, markdown, stock, sales margin    
    • Developing category strategic, tactical, and operational plans to achieve set targets
    • Management of range assortment at store level in conjunction with the buyer 
    • Manage OTB allowance both in-season and forward budgets

    Planner - Volpes

    Job Description

    • The Planner II is responsible for influencing and implementing the relevant brand’s merchandise strategy. They manage financial and strategic aspects of various products, including product planning, controlling open-to-buy, and reviewing figures. They also handle range assortments, replenishment, distribution strategy, and communication with stores and field teams. Additionally, they provide insights and recommendations for improving merchandise performance.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure timeous placement of Replenishment (RPL) and Fashion orders onto the system 
    • Sign off of all Orders 
    • Managing orders through the critical path process up until WH delivery
    • DC RPL Optimization 
    • Managing and processing of Raw Material to Suppliers where applicable 
    • Prepare a detailed SWOT analysis and Key Lessons Learnt (KLL) - planning templates 
    • Prepare a detailed financial review of commodity performance across all KPIs
    • Prepare budgets for the next season across all key KPIs considering buyer feedback on product shifts / trends
    • Summarise strategic intent and include any new opportunities

    Qualifications

    Designer

    Job Description

    • An exciting position has arisen within the Foschini Division, for a Designer. This individual will be responsible for designing ranges and working alongside production team to ensure land of range in store. We are looking for a responsible, organised individual, who enjoys working in a fast paced and dynamic environment where the customer is the central focus of everything we do. 
    • The designer’s role will be to take charge of guiding all steps of the design process, from initial conception to final manufacture processes across all commodities. A strong grasp of trend direction, garment construction, product relevance and branding are essential. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create look and feel for seasonal merchandise, based on global trend and key lessons learnt (includes direction on silhouette, styling and fabric, print and colour). Essential to have a commercial eye and be able to interpret international trends for the customer
    • Incorporate brand handwriting / personality into the ranges
    • Briefing graphic designer and outwork team on trend and branding direction
    • Present and Develop Key Items for Foschini retail team for the upcoming season taking key platform fabrics and price points into consideration
    • This individual is also responsible for monitoring weekly sales and continuous developments throughout the season ensuring that the brand remains relevant and in line with consumer demand
    • Provide comprehensive and technical CAD drawings and tech packs, to ensure relevant and cost-effective product

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design
    • Relevant work experience of 5 years in a design role
    • Manufacturing and supplier experience beneficial
    • Practical knowledge of garment construction, fabrics and trims
