    Cost Accountant: Culinary

    • You will be responsible for the accurate and timeously calculation and loading of the fully absorption cost for all SKU’s. You will also be responsible for the monthly reporting and validation of including but not limited to product mix, volume, conversion cost, productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing expense, summarize key findings and draw management’s attention and support for action. Conducting required cost review and valuation of stock and ensuring compliance with internal control requirements.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TABLE

    • Working with Procurement to ensure accurate costs 
    • Participate in business planning; prepare and coordinate the factory budget with factory management; Perform revisions or simulations if needed.
    • Work with team members to develop new product costing in accordance with costing standards.
    • Ensure full transparency of costs and financial impact to the organisation of major or strategic decisions relating to the factory
    • Do accurate and timeously calculation of the Fully Absorption Cost for all SKU’s. Thereby ensuring that all aspects of the manufacturing process are taken into account and reflected correctly on the ERP system
    • Accurate and timeous loading of new bills of material for the Manufacturing units, based on the Costing Pack
    • Accurate and timeous loading of change to existing bill of materials
    • Monthly reporting and validation of yield, purchase price and manufacturing variances
    • Conducting required cost review and valuation of stock
    • Monitor and control manufacturing expenses
    • Ensuring compliance with internal control requirements
    • Calculate the savings realised for cost savings projects based on the actual production volumes
    • Develop the reports and review with Finance Manager - Costing for approval before sending them to unit and supply management.
    • Challenge assumptions in seeking cost improvements in factory. Seek for and support cost improvement opportunities, be an active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives validate and review proposed savings. Partner with Engineering to manage costs and review capital proposals.
    • Compile reporting of actuals (including organizing and overseeing timeliness and accuracy of period-end close and promoting ownership of data at source); and dynamic forecasts for the factory; ensure transparency of this process; follow up and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed.
    • Support 2 plants, Peanut butter which is in Kagiso Chamdor and Musina must be willing to travel to Musina.

    Millwright

    Job Purpose

    • The Millwright will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing all mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment in the flour milling plant to ensure maximum equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and safe operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on milling equipment (e.g., roller mills, sifters, blowers, conveyors, pneumatic systems, compressors, and packaging machines).
    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize production interruptions.
    • Conduct routine inspections and ensure equipment is operating at required efficiency and safety standards.
    • Carry out machine alignments, installations, and overhauls as required.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete job cards according to company procedures.
    • Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth running of operations.
    • Comply with plant safety, food safety, and housekeeping standards at all times.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical input for equipment upgrades.
    • Ensure spare parts are requested, used efficiently, and maintained in good condition.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Recognized Millwright Trade Test Certificate (Red Seal preferred).
    • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as a Millwright in a milling, FMCG, or manufacturing environment (flour milling experience advantageous).
    • Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic maintenance skills.
    • Knowledge of food safety and GMP standards will be an added advantage.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
    • Computer literacy (maintenance systems and MS Office).

    Distribution Controller

    • Manage the Driver Sales team to ensure deliveries are on time, in full, and according to agreed schedule and volumes. Manage the effective distribution of products. Identify and implement best fit route optimization model and systems. Implement bakery’s operational plans to optimize distribution channels and penetrate the market.

    What You Will Do

    • Sales
    • Support Sales team to develop new markets through delivering to new outlets and drive business development with existing customers.
    • Build excellent relations with the trade (customers) and truck crews (Drivers & Van Assistants)
    • Conduct daily driver debriefs to review route performance, utilising the debrief form
    • Consistent monitoring of the distribution network (Route viability and Performance).
    • Manage returns and stock on truck
    • Liaise with Telesales
    • Fill in as a relief Distribution Controller where required
    • Meet daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
    • In-trade Execution
    • Credit returns minimized as per Bakery policy
    • Baskets Management- Baskets’ Movement, Basket Counts and control
    • Customer relations
    • Open new accounts (Cash/Credit account customers in General Trade)
    • Ensure outstanding monies are collected daily
    • Ensure special deliveries made and customer queries handled
    • Ensure that the customer data is reviewed and updated regularly
    • Quality
    • Understand the requirements of product quality
    • Learn how to deal with customer complaints
    • Report consumer complaints to Sales Manager
    • Manage market incidents
    • Understand and manage the withdrawal/recall process
    • Understand the logistics process
    • Trade Marketing
    • Support customer and route plans
    • Support plan and implement competitive sales plans to bring about a substantial volume growth
    • Understand applicable Channel Strategies

    Experience

    • Prepared to work in informal and formal trade sector
