    Lecturer - Game Design (Independent Contractor) - Durban North

    Job Purpose:

    • Lecturing and academic delivery to ensure students are guided and supported in their learning to achieve module outcomes

    Preferred Education:
    Ideal: 

    • Honours Degree / Masters in a design field, such as Multimedia Design, Game Design or Digital Arts with experience in 3D character animation.

    Alternative

    • An NQF-level 8 qualification in a related field or in education with an undergrad in a design field, such as Multimedia Design, Game Design or Digital Arts with experience in 3D character animation


    Work Experience

    • At least 3 years industry experience, with a collaborative, cross-platform, multi-disciplinary approach to research, conceptualising and crafting for various kinds and genres of digital games on both computer and mobile platforms.
    • An aptitude for Design Thinking and Creative Strategy in relation to problem solving, preparing for action, critical engagement and decision making is a must. Required to have a layered portfolio detailing the ability to engage with the entire game design process.


    Key Performance Areas:

    Lecturer - Game Art (Independent Contractor) - Durban North

    Job Purpose:

    Senior ICT Support - Johannesburg

    Job Purpose:

    • Co-ordinates, plans and schedules the day to day activities of ICT support staff and assists the team to provide technical and training support services. Provides on the job training to team members and feedback regarding job performance and progress. Co-ordinates systems installations and assists to retrieve stored data. Investigates and resolves system malfunctions or escalates accordingly. Liaises with staff to achieve effective problem resolution.

    Key Performance Area: 
    Infrastructure Support

    • Conducts daily checks on the IT infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN, etc) to monitor up time requirements and ensure that systems are running optimally.

    • Ensures that critical and security updates are applied to servers and workstations timeously.

    Staff:

    Student Acquisition

    • Achieves sales targets set for qualifications and / or short learning programmes.

    • Initiates appropriate sales drives and promotional activities on and off campus so as to convert enquiries into enrolments and thus meet student intake targets, annually.

    • Builds and manages relationships with students, prospective students and their parents at all relevant touchpoints during the application and / or enquiry process to the standards agreed
    • Attends to queries from students / parents either face-to-face, telephonically or on line, within an hour (during normal business hours, on weekdays), ensuring that prospective students have a positive service experience.
    • Receives, evaluates and processes applications from prospective students.
    • Establishes and fosters productive relationships with teachers, principals, corporates and other relevant partners.
    • Ensures registration procedures are followed.
    • Conducts interviews with prospective students and provides feedback of those interviews.
    • Liaises with Academic Operations Co-Ordinator for acceptance letters, ensuring proper tracking of requests pending and letters issued.
    • Liaises with Student Relations Co-ordinator on student registrations.

     Sales Administration:

    • Prepares sales figures and statistics as required.

    • Liaises with Academic support to ensure acceptance letters have been disseminated. Tracking letters sent versus those pending.
    • All online website enquires and applications to be sent a follow up email/s and receive courtesy telephone call.
    • All tawk & WhatsApp prospects to receive the necessary documentation and follow up. Ensure adequate record keeping.
    • Ensuring student files are professional, up to date and contains on the respective student documentation, statement of results, ID, proof of payment, NBT paperwork and other documentation.
