    Job description
    Develop and Execute a Departmental Seasonal Plan

    • Collaborate with Planning, design and Sourcing to develop product, fabric and trading strategy to ensure the delivery of relevant KPI’s.
    • Utilise multiple data sources from design direction, global and local trend research, current trade and post-seasonal data, customer analytics, product and sourcing strategy, competitor intelligence and benchmarking, First Insights and EDITED to provide product direction for seasonal plan workshops in line with the overall Group Strategy.
    • Present seasonal product plan inclusive of key strategic areas, must-win categories / items and channel-specific considerations.

    Build a Profitable Balanced Range

    • Conduct workshops to develop an on-brand product range that is trend appropriate and meets customer expectations, incorporating local and international comparative analysis, intelligence and benchmarking, with a clear intent of growth/exit product categories aligned with strategic goals.
    • Collaborate with the Design team to deliver a balanced range (styling, fabric, colour) within agreed price architecture and ensuring alignment to critical path and merchandise cycle milestones.
    • Collaborate with the Sourcing team on product development, including new concepts, supplier selection, costings, tech packs, packaging and quote approvals in line with the critical path milestones and merchandise cycle.
    • Collaborate with the Technical Product Development (TPD) on all sample approvals and sign-off samples, product reviews, final product presentation and innovation opportunities in line with the critical path milestones and merchandise cycle
    • Conduct product reviews and present the final product (concept, pre-production/production samples, packaging), taking into account display strategy (e.g. tables, ticketing)
    • Collaborate with planning (financials, assortment plan) and reconcile with strategy by grade, channel (online, Edit, Africa).

    Lead Customer Understanding and Competitive Intelligence

    • Work closely with Marketing to understand the Woolworths customer, including incorporating quarterly updates from the customer team.
    • Conduct market and trend research (EDITED, WGSN, competitor store visits) to understand the competitive landscape, range offering, product differentiation and merchandising strategies.
    • Analyse customer ratings and reviews to understand online customer preferences and customer experience.
    • Utilise supplier information and overseas travel to gain market insights.
    • Develop a product marketing proposal to optimize the customer experience instore and online

    Actively Trade Product Range

    • Weekly sales trade analysis - analyse relevant reports (Monday trade, item report, style cards, Edited) to understand product and sales performance across channels to influence trade decisions, opportunities and actions to optimise sales.
    • Communicate any changes from current trade that impact other departments e.g. marketing and visual merchandising.
    • Weekly team standstill with Quad team to align on weekly tasks including production & shipment standstill, supplier communication and trade actions.

    Minimum requirements

    • Degree / Diploma with relevant
    • Minimum 5 years buying experience within a fashion retailer
    • Extensive Retail knowledge
    • Computer literate with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, PLM & EDITED
    • Integral understanding of the clothing retail cycle, trend and buying process
    • Passion for keeping up to date with latest trends
    • Understanding of business and buying processes and systems

    Job description

    • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
    • Manage stock levels.
    • Ensure shopkeeping disciplines are continuously in place by adhering to Operation manuals and display maintenance principles.

    Stock Financial Analyst

    Introduction

    • To manage the RMS stock system integrity and financial stock including movement reporting.

    Job description

    • Accountable for driving stock query resolution with all relevant stakeholders (IT, Merchandise, ROG and Supply Chain).
    • Accountable for understanding the technical processes for stock from end to end.
    • Accountable for understanding certain technical query statements in Oracle/RMS.
    • Accountable for communication to BUFM’s on all stock and gross profit inventory adjustment issues.
    • Accountable for checking integrity of Stock reports in Data Warehouse General Ledger/RMS.
    • Responsible for ensuring that the RMS hospital and ATA (All Transactions Audits) is monitored relating to stocktakes at all Woolworths locations.
    • Responsible for ensuring that RMS internal diagnostics are monitored.
    • Accountable operationally and financially for stocktakes of corporate stores, division 5 stores and all warehouses including reporting of the stores stocktake cycles (including the maintaining of the stocktake published schedule).
    • Responsible for the reconciliation of certain stock balance sheet accounts (clearing accounts etc).
    • Resolving store / warehouse queries and ensuring transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger (Triceps to RMS to Oracle).
    • Responsible for ensuring that all the DC’s and Xdock alignments are by facilitating meetings regarding mock and actual alignments with the respective Supply Chain managers and IT support staff.
    • Providing input into finance policies, principles and procedures.
    • Work shopping with relevant stakeholders to understand and communicate finance’s business requirement across multiple departments/divisions.
    • Working with the Business Systems Analyst to communicate the business requirement and ongoing interaction to ensure that any development meets the business need.
    • Assisting with the analysis of process changes, risk impacts and communication required.
    • Responsible for status reporting, feedback on issues and risks.
    • Responsible for clearing unknown and error interface reports .
    • Responsible for monitoring CA Finance stock group Unicentre and resolve any store related queries logged.
    • Adhoc requests.

    Minimum requirements

    • Technical and Functional
    • Understand and apply financial accounting principles and concepts including knowledge of IFRS.
    • Able to use and solve problems in a large, complex, integrated Finance IT system and to process large volumes of financial transactions.
    • Apply to apply accounting knowledge in a large IT driven accounting environment and identify financial exposure and risk.
    • Able to effectively use financial business reporting systems (e.g. Cognos, Qlikview, Hyperion and Oracle Financials)etc.
    • Strong Excel skills etc.
    • Extracting data from SQL queries for RMS, Oracle and Datawarehouse.

    Minimum Qualification

    • Accounting Degree / National Diploma or equivalent .
    • 2-5 years in experience in either stock (inventory) or supply chain environment (FMCG industry).
