    Warehouse Assistants X2

    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored. The individual will package, scan, and prepare orders for delivery.  The individual needs to be passionate, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions and be a team player. The individual will follow all procedures and policies in the department and company.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Material Handling:

    • Load, unload, move, and store products and materials using manual tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
    • Organize and stage materials for production or shipment based on schedules and priorities.

    Inventory Management:

    • Assist in inventory counts and cycle checks to ensure accuracy.
    • Verify material quantities and ensure proper labeling, documentation, and storage.
    • Ensure material is binned in the correct bins – daily.

    Shipping and Receiving:

    • Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and damage.
    • Ensure timely processing of shipping and receiving documentation.
    • Ensure that GRN is done according to order and correct item and qty is processed.

    Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
    • Conduct pre-use inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions.

    Team Collaboration:

    • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
    • Assist in training new team members as needed.

    Housekeeping:

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
    • Dispose of waste and recycling materials appropriately.

    ADHERING TO SAFETY REGULATIONS

    • Conduct operations in a safe manner as per safety standards.
    • Ensure that safety checks on lifting equipment are done before operating.
    • Report any unsafe working conditions and incidents to your Team Lead.
    • Always wear the necessary PPE.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    • Completed Matric / Grade 12.
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in the warehouse environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to communicate in English effectively orally and in writing.
    • Relevant License in relevant lifting equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet).
    • Ability to stand on feet for a prolonged amount of time and may need to lift, carry and stretch to perform duties.
    • Physically ability to lift heavy items.
    • Able to work overtime, weekends and public holidays on request.

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Time management.
    • Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers, co-workers, managers, and employees.
    • Ability to operate lifting equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet).
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently.
    • Pays attention to detail and monitors the quality of inventory.
    • Highly organized and able to store items efficiently.
    • Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations as dictated by the organization.

    Warehouse Driver

    • The Warehouse Driver is required to do deliveries to customer sites as and when required and to ensure that all relevant paperwork is always kept on record, when not out on deliveries the candidate will be required to assist in the warehouse.

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • All driving duties.
    • Operating and maintaining vehicles with a focus on safety and customer courtesy.
    • Performing daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
    • Inspect vehicle for safety, fuel, oil, and water before departure.
    • Maintain accurate, up to date records on logbook before and after trips and prepare accident and incident report as and when necessary.
    • Keep vehicle clean inside and outside.
    • Reads and interprets maps and driving directions to plan the most efficient route service for customers.
    • Knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations of South African Roads.
    • Always put customer first, be presentable and keep the company name at the highest level.
    • Perform any other duties as directed and instructed by team leader or manager.  

    RESPONSIBILITIES- General Assistance in the warehouse

    • Always adhere to correct processes & work instructions.
    • Assist dispatch with picking of stock ordered.
    • Assist receiving with checking and binning of stock received.
    • Ensure stock accuracy is always maintained.
    • Participate in cycle counts as per schedule.
    • Participate in Stock taking when required.
    • Maintain a neat and orderly environment within the overall warehouse.
    • Adhering to Safety Regulations
    • Conduct operations in a safe manner as per safety standards.
    • Ensure that safety checks on lifting equipment are done before operating.
    • Report any unsafe working conditions and incidents to your Team Lead.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Completed Matric.
    • Code 10 Driver’s License with PDP for at least two years.
    • 2 - 5 years’ experience as a driver within similar industry.
    • Relevant certification in operating lifting equipment (Forklift, Turret Truck, Pallet).
    • 2 years warehouse environment experience.
    • Maintain and possess a safe driving record.
    • Must be able to communicate in English.

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Time management.
    • Ability to read, understand and adhere to the rules and regulation of South Africa.
    • Ability to read and interpret road signs in English.
    • Ability to communicate in English effectively orally and in writing.
    • Ability to establish effective professional relationships with customers, co-workers, managers, and employees.
    • Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs.
    • Ability to operate lifting equipment (Forklift, Turret Truck, Pallet)
