    Digital Strategist

    Key Roles & Responsibilities:

    Leadership:

    • Drive strategic digital thinking within the agency and with clients.
    • Deeply understand our clients, their businesses, objectives their brands.
    • Present to digitally savvy C-suite clients, leading discussions that build trust and establish the agency’s thought leadership.
    • Be the agency's go-to expert for digital insights and recommendations.
    • Lead digital innovation by staying ahead of new trends and developments.
    • Proactively develop strategies, measurement plans, and proposals that add value for both teams and clients.

    Strategic Work:

    • Deliver comprehensive reports, research, analysis, audits, planning, pitches, and strategy presentations to help teams and clients achieve their goals.
    • Develop digital strategies at both brand and campaign levels, including behavior analysis, customer personas, segmentation, online consumer journeys, best practice channel recommendations and landscape analysis.
    • Create insights from social media listening, website evaluations, usability reviews, and channel planning, including SEO and launch plans.
    • Add value and recommendations to our clients existing consumer and brand strategies to develop personalized marketing strategies to enhance customer loyalty and repeat purchases.
    • Produce work that spans across various platforms, including websites, apps, e-commerce platforms, SEO, social media, content, influencer marketing, direct marketing, eCRM, and performance marketing.
    • Continuously conduct competitor, industry, trend and digital landscape reviews to keep strategies cutting-edge and competitive.

    Output Management:

    • Lead and collaborate with teams to develop and implement innovative digital marketing and channel strategies that deliver tangible business results.
    • Work closely with Clients, the Client Service and Creative teams to ensure strategies are effectively executed or provide strategic direction when adjustments are needed.
    • Use your expertise and communication skills to simplify complex ideas, ensuring clear alignment among all stakeholders.
    • Liaise with external suppliers and key stakeholders, such as paid media agencies, to ensure seamless teamwork and integration.
    • Regularly review departmental outputs to maintain the effectiveness of channels, tools and campaign activity & promotions to ensure optimal performance.
    • Keep the Agency and Leads informed about innovations, industry changes, and opportunities for collaboration.

    Requirements

    • Digital Expertise: Extensive understanding of various digital marketing channels and how to strategically use them to achieve brand and business goals.
    • Retail Experience: Experience with retail brands is a plus.
    • Tools Proficiency: Comfortable with MAC, Microsoft Office, Google products, and tools like Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Data Studio, Search Console, Falcon, Brandwatch, GWI, Similar Web, AWR, Screaming Frog, and Stellar.
    • Adaptability: Demonstrated grasp of emerging digital tools and trends.
    • Be Mobile: A valid, driver's license and own transport is advantageous but not essential. For this role you will need the ability to attend workshops, client meetings and presentations.

    Minimum education requirements:

    • High School Qualification
    • Relevant Degree/Diploma in advertising, marketing, communication science, or a related field.
    • Proven Expertise: Experience as a Digital Strategist or Digital Marketing Manager, specializing in channel strategies, insights, and e-commerce journeys.
    • 4 years + in a leadership role
    • 8 years + Strategy experience

    Studio Copywriter

    THIS COPYWRITING ROLE ENTAILS BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Working with the creative team to create our omnichannel retail content
    • Particularly graphic designers, art directors, UX/UI designers and animators
    • Integrating closely with the stakeholders to deliver omnichannel retail content
    • Particularly proof-readers, project managers, strategists & brand managers
    • Interpreting reporting data and creating content and infographics for Rainmaker
    • Assisting with concepts and copy ideas for the Sixty60 APP
    • Taking responsibility for all written content in any allocated communication projects
    • Taking joint responsibility with your project teams for the quality & delivery of work
    • Being able to write in different styles taking into account the brand and audience
    • Translating a brief and the strategic requirements into a compelling solution
    • Unpacking briefs to fully leverage opportunities for highly creative output
    • Taking ownership of tasks and the creative process to progress towards deadline
    • Understanding creative, artistic and cultural trends & how to apply them to brands
    • Being an integral part of ideation and creation - a thought-leader who is impactful
    • Being able to impactfully present your team’s work to leaders and stakeholders
    • Having the ability to work within a team as well as independently

    Requirements

    • Verbal and written command of the English language
    • Relevant Copywriting degree/diploma essential
    • At least 3+ years' relevant work experience as a copywriter
    • Solid understanding of digital platforms in conjunction with traditional channels
    • Solid portfolio showcasing both ATL and digital work
    • Strong presentation skills
    • Proficient in MS Office & Teams
    • Proficient at juggling both in-office and remote working environments

    ADVANTAGEOUS EXPERIENCE & SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES:

    • Verbal and written proficiency in any additional South African languages
    • A proven understanding of retail marketing and advertising
    • Experience with trafficking and timekeeping software e.g., Workbook/Chase
    • Experience working in cloud-based design platforms like Figma, Invision etc.
    • Proficiency with design programmes like Photoshop, InDesign and even Aftereffects
    • Knowledge regarding SEO and SEM, as well as AdWords, Analytics, and Reporting
