    Junior Credit Analyst - KZN

    CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    •  To provide for the preparation of Credit proposals required by the Executive Credit Committee, encompassing the analysis of clients’ financial position in order to determine whether or not Finance can be extended for assets and/or trade. 

    MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    Credit Proposals

    • Analysis of financial statements and management accounts in order to assess financial performance of applicants as well as guarantor entities which includes preparation of Income Statement, Balance sheet spread and consolidation of Information where applicable
    • Analysis of Value Added Tax (VAT) returns and book debts 
    • Research market trends, perform qualitative reviews, corporate ratings and determines affordability of repayments
    • Obtains    information  on    clients’    background,     nature   of   business,   location, Management, customer and supplier information
    • Requests Kreditinform report to determine clients Credit history, bank reports and security confirmations if it is related to a trade client
    • Creates a SWOT analysis in order to identify risks associated with clients thus highlights the banks awareness to potential hazards
    • Summarises detailed needs and requirements of clients and comments on utilisation
    • Prepares and updates detailed manual exposure report  for Group in terms of security by ensuring securities are correctly loaded, financials are updated on relevant system, qualitative review status is updated, valuations are up to date and follows up on arrears if applicable
    • Provides sensitivity analysis for each application within the proposal
    • Prepares information sheet and requests Trust reviews from Legal department 
    • Identifies risks with respect to client and/or Industry and mitigating factors
    • Responds to queries made by Management Credit Committee (MCC), Executive Credit Committee (ECC), Board Credit Committee (BCC) and Board of Directors(BOD) relating to the proposal as and when required
    • Prepares Executive summarises for Board Credit Committee (BCC) and Board of Directors(BOD) submissions as and when required.
    • Value added / innovation / risk assessment incorporated in credit reports

     Analysis of Book Debts

    • Conducts analysis of book debts on a monthly basis for clients, whose cession of book debts are held as security which entails liaising with clients to determine recoverability of book debt balances that are outstanding
    • Determines updated book debt security amounts and updates on the system
    • Prepares book debt pack schedules which entails security values for each client and risk rating on a monthly basis
    • Liase with clients with regards to book debt queries
    • Responds to queries on the analysis raised by the relevant Committees

    TradeFinance Reviews

    • Maintains and updates trade review lists and registers for all trade and revolving asset facilities by updating review dates, level of facilities, ECCM approval dates, date review letter submitted and includes updating for all new clients
    • Maintains and updates tracking schedule which includes clients name, date submitted, purpose of application, ECC date approved/declined, next review date and facility amount approved
    • Maintains  and  updates  outstanding  information  lists  for  each  application  and subsequent follow up

    Review Letters

    • Prepares trade review letters requesting financial information from clients and/or the clients accountants for annual trade reviews
    • Follows up on receipt of letters and submission of information on an ongoing basis

    General

    • Follows up on financial information required from clients such as financial statements, management accounts, VAT returns, Assets and Liabilities statements, Income and Expenditure statements, Banking details and queries relating to Financial statements, etcetera
    • Obtains and reviews FICA documentation for all new and existing clients
    • Completion of the necessary checklist
    • Compiling and maintaining of deal files
    • Assists the SMME Branch with any sales administrative queries.
    • Liaises with the Technical Support team for documents
    • Facilitates the request for documentation from the Technical Support team

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A degree or Relevant Qualifications in Finance / Accounting

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in the Finance/ Accounting environment

    Financial Advisor - Western Cape

    CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To market and sell the Bank’s Wealth Management Products within the respective region by providing excellent service to customers and adherence to the Banks policies and procedures.

    MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

     Wealth Management 

    • Conducts marketing and sales of the unit trust products. 
    • Ensures Wealth Management Sales budgets are met 
    • Provides clients with efficient service and professional advice on the products. Ensure that all applications forms are completed, and correspondence is provided to the Client. 
    • Engage in marketing activities hosted by the Bank 
    • Ensure that regular contact sessions are held with Clients, thereby keeping them abreast of their investment portfolios and explore further investment opportunities with Clients. 
    • Ensure that the relevant forms are submitted to the third-party unit trust company i.e Old Mutual timeously and that all FICA and compliance is done before opening these accounts. 
    • Ensure that the correct advice is given to the client and a needs analysis is conducted in order to ensure that the correct product is recommended. 

    Sales and Marketing

    • Attend new clients by offering them the Banks Products as well as servicing existing clients and offer additional services.
    • Meets with clients at their convenience at the Branch or at client’s premises
    • Markets and sells the Banks products
    • Acquire new clients by requesting qualified leads from existing clients, other departments and leads generated internally or by customer service
    • Conducts a needs analysis on products and services in order to make recommendations to clients.
    • Offers advice to clients based on their wealth management needs
    • Ensures all requirements are met in order to conclude the transaction

    Client Relationship

    • Developing constructive and cooperative working relationship with clients, and maintaining them over time
    • Attends to all clients’ Wealth requests and queries
    • To ensure that existing clients are contacted annually to discuss their portfolio and assist with any requirements.
    • To ensure existing clients are managed and cater for ad hoc requests.
    • Provides an efficient and effective service to all clients at all times in order to promote the Banks services
    • Manages/Handles difficult client queries via face-to-face communication with walk in clients or by visiting clients and addresses client concerns by listening to any concerns/complaints in an efficient and appropriate manner in line with the professional image of the bank and providing an effective solution to the benefit of both the bank and the client

    Administration

    • Maintain a client visit register on SharePoint by updating information weekly
    • Ensure that all administration regarding information meets FAIS and FICA legislative requirements.
    • All sales must be recorded in the schedule on share point as and when new business is concluded.
    • Follow up with the unit trust companies in order to ensure that the business is recorded accurately

    Requirements
    QUALIFICATIONS

    • An Accounting / Finance qualification 
    • Must be FAIS compliant 
    • Valid driver’s licence 

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • At least 5 years’ experience within the insurance / unit trust industry 
    • Proven track record of marketing and sales

    HR Officer - Head Office - KZN

    CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    To provide generalist HR services to the Bank which includes but not limited to the following:

    • Recruitment and Selection
    • HR Administration

    Recruitment

    • Develops competency-based interview guides for each position to ensure questions are targeted to the required competency.
    • Creates an advert from the job description for internal and external use making sure that all relevant detail of the job is included in the advert
    • Conducts recruitment via the use of agencies, Job portals and other social media alternatives.
    • Sends updated job spec to preferred recruitment agencies ensuring that the required criteria such as criminal and credit checks is in line with the Banks recruitment policy.
    • Conducts the mandatory background checks on prospective candidates.
    • Conducts the shortlisting of candidates based on the job criteria.
    • Conducts interviews with line management for B and C band positions and D band positions as and when requested.
    • Ensures the interviews are arranged and forwards the Cv’s and interview questionnaires to the manager / panel in preparation for the interview.
    • Facilitates psychometric assessment electronically as part of the recruitment process and external providers.
    • Ensures that unsuccessful candidates are regretted by way of a regret letter.
    • Updates the Recruitment Status Report regularly to ensure the progress is monitored.
    • Conducts exit interviews for all positions and provides analysis for EXCO.
    • Maintains a repository of information including recruitment service providers SLA’s and productivity reports.
    • Ensure effective communication and regular feedback to recruitment agencies and internally regarding the recruitment progress and status.

    Branch Support

    • Conducts monthly HR virtual meetings with managers in designated regions.
    • Provide efficient HR support across the regions.
    • Conducts branch visits to designated branches every two months.
    • Conducts meetings with Head office department managers on a bi-monthly basis. Provides the relevant GM / Executives with feedback on any matters of concerns that may be discussed at the HR Management meetings.
    • Conducts staff engagements with employees.

    HR Administration

    • Develops letters of offer and contracts of employment and collates recruitment pack containing the relevant documents of the candidate.
    • Acts as a liaison for medical aid, ensuring that staff are advised as to who to contact in order for queries to be addressed and to arrange consultations between the PSG consultant and the employee as and when required.
    • Responsible for sending out relevant communication to staff as and when required.
    • Develops job descriptions in consultation with management and HR Manager.
    • Arranges job grading meetings and attends in the absence of the HRM and ensures approval of job grade and saves the approved report in the Job grading report folder on F drive.
    • Maintains all staff information and records by ensuring they are loaded onto the Sage system
    • Maintains and updates organisational organogram on the PowerPoint and Organimi versions.
    • Creates HR PowerPoint presentations and communications
    • Drafts warning letters and letters of Concern.
    • Prepares letters relating to salary reviews, job grades, job title changes, allowance letters, change in reporting line, notice period letters, etc.
    • Assist with Audit requirements.

    Policies and Procedures

    • Inserts all newly developed policies and procedures into the standardised template.
    • Receives approval from EXCO for approved policies and procedures and obtains signatures from the CE and HR Manager.
    • Amends policies as changes occur as well as assisting in the research and development of HR related policies.
    • Updates and maintains SharePoint with all new and updated HR polices and ensure communication to all staff.

    Performance Management

    • Performs a primary support role for the Banks performance management system.
    • Performs a system administrator role for the Banks approved performance management system.
    • Maintains and regularly updates the PDP outstanding schedule and updates the PowerBI report.
    • Attends to all queries relating to performance management in a timeous, efficient and professional manner
    • Assist the HRM with identifying and addressing 10% underperforming staff within the organisation
    • Train new staff on the performance management process.
    • Assists the HRM with PIP feedback sessions - Representing HR in the feedback sessions, documenting sessions, drafting letters, providing support to the manager and respective employee.
    • Assists with HR related projects relating to performance management.

    Corporate Branding

    • Assists with the coordination and administration for the female corporate uniforms.
    • Plans and coordinates the annual Employee Recognition Awards functions.
    • Assists with the planning and coordination of the annual HR stakeholder engagement workshop.

    Employee Wellness

    • Plans and coordinates the annual Wellness Day for staff in collaboration with Discovery and other service providers.
    • Arranges the presentation by Discovery to present the Wellness Day findings.
    • Arranges quarterly awareness / wellness staff presentations.
    • Assists with planning of exercise activities on collaboration with the Staff Exercise Committee.

    Payroll

    • Conducts the loading of new employees onto SAGE payroll timeously and efficiently.
    • Attends to any changes on payroll related to the employee’s position/department information.
    • Prepares the monthly cashbook timeously and efficiently.

    Succession Planning / Career Development Plans

    • Obtains approval from relevant GM and Executive on the successor identified to relevant position.
    • Tracks, monitors and evaluates the implementation of the succession plans in collaboration with the training department.

    Compliance

    • Provides compliance with the required FAIS documentation as and when required.
    • Coordinates the criminal checks of the Directors, EXCO and all employees on an annual basis as a regulatory requirement.

    HR Special Projects

    • Assists the HRM with HR related projects.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A degree or diploma in Human Resources and/or Organisational Development will be required in order to meet the requirements of the role at the highest level of competence
    • Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience is required in the area of HR and/or organisational development
