    Order To Cash Specialist - Johannesburg

    Duties will include the following:

    • Sales Order Management (per respective order strategy MTS, MTO, MTF, MTB) including order receipt, timely acknowledgement, availability check, order entry and FIFO allocation in close contact with related parties within BASF
    • Providing regular updates on orders and shipments, as well as guiding the sample process and managing relevant sample stock, customers are kept informed
    • Monitor customer overdue payments and aid in resolving account queries, while effectively communicating with the CRM Team to ensure prompt internal resolutions within the FSCM process
    • Ensure optimal performance, customer master data management involves continuously updating and optimizing the accuracy and completeness of the data
    • Process non-conformance with relations to the OTC process and order adjustments
    • Resolution of all sales and/or customer related queries. On-time, accurate and visible reporting on required business unit and team reporting
    • Supporting S&OP, inventory management involves monitoring and balancing supply and demand, providing input on aging stock and efficient material and batch management while ensuring adherence to DIVs and collaborating with the S&OP Planner
    • Ensuring precise and streamlined order entry, while automating SD processes through the use of PPI (Process and Productivity Improvement)
    • Support in initiatives on rolling out and implementation of the GB/OS Customer Service strategy
    • Adhere to and align with Global Sales required KPIs
    • Take responsibility for ensuring that backups are adequately trained based on OTC SOPs and respective BU desk profiles, while establishing emergency communication channels

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics & Supply Chain or equivalent tertiary education
    • Minimum 3 years of experience with Customer Services & Supply Chain in Southern Africa Market
    • Solid SAP experience and sufficient Microsoft Office computer skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills

    Senior Account Manager - Mining Solutions

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure personal compliance with EHS standards, prioritizing safety in all daily activities
    • Meet or exceed sales targets for the solvent extraction and flotation segment, driving growth and profitability
    • Develop and expand sales with existing customers while actively seeking new business opportunities
    • Manage the supply of products to customers, utilizing accurate monthly forecasting and effective communication with the Supply Chain team
    • Maintain local stock management, proactively addressing dysfunctional stock to ensure optimal inventory levels
    • Monitor working capital impacts and targets, including overdue accounts, credit management, credit blocks, storage, and DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
    • Generate and upload customer reports in Salesforce, recording all visits, opportunities, and contacts to foster effective team communication
    • Maintain accurate and comprehensive customer pricing in the PMM Light system
    • Promote cross-selling initiatives across different business units and market segments within the mining and mineral processing industry
    • Collaborate closely with the Contract Manager and Regional Sales Manager to align customer contract content and negotiate favorable terms
    • Manage assigned key accounts, BASF partners, and distributors to ensure customer satisfaction and drive sales growth
    • Provide support and mentoring to aid in the development of technical competencies within the organization
    • Mentor and coach sales team members, identifying training needs and supporting development plans
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technological developments

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • University degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Chemical/Mining Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus
    • Minimum of 10 years sales experience with the focus to the mining sector and or other related industries
    • Demonstrated ability and willingness to provide guidance, coaching, and training to junior team members
    • Proficiency in PMM, Salesforce, and MS Office 
    • Strong commercial skills and experience in selling Mining Solutions, particularly in solvent extraction and flotation
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and networking skills
    • Self-driven with a customer-focus mindset
    • Fluency in English is required, and Chinese language skills are advantageous

    Microbiologist - Durban

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the laboratory while assisting with quality control testing and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
    • Your attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and technical competency will contribute to our commitment to excellence.
    • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the designated laboratory area, following cleaning schedules, 5S principles, and good laboratory practices
    • Conduct routine and ad-hoc quality control (QC) testing, record and analyze test results in protocols and on the SAP system, and report non-conformances to the QC Manager
    • Release AI batches to Production and Supply Chain on a weekly basis, conduct daily release of Production results, and generate Certificates of Analysis (CoA) within agreed timeframes
    • Replenish stock in all laboratory areas, perform daily manual temperature monitoring, and sign-off on disinfection log-sheets
    • Support RC and ISO 9001 requirements and audits, participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Incident Investigations, and internal audits for ISO 9001 and RC
    • Collaborate effectively with the QC lab staff, demonstrating good interpersonal and communication skills, and participate in Lean 6 Sigma improvement efforts
    • Conduct water, air, and surface testing as required, maintain the lab stock sheet for chemicals and consumables, and demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • National Diploma in Biotechnology or equivalent
    • B.Tech in Biotechnology is an advantage
    • Minimum 1 year experience in a SANAS/ISO 9001 accredited microbiology lab
    • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Fast learner with strong multitasking ability and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
    • Good work ethic, critical thinking, and technical competency in microbiological techniques
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both independently and in a team setting
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
