    Manager: Customer Interface

    Appointment Minimum Requirements: 

    • National Diploma (NQF6) in Communications/ Marketing Management/ Public Relations/ Media Studies or relevant equivalent 
    • 5 years’ relevant experience, of which 3 years must be at a supervisory capacity 

    Primary Function: 

    • Timeously deliver quality technical support service to City Power customers and proactively manage the strategic or reputation impacting customers.  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Optimise existing processes within the company and actively enhance all Customer Success initiatives. Oversee the achievement and maintenance of customer Service Level Agreements.
    • Ensure accuracy of reporting customer database. Identify customer service trends and determine system improvements. Improve customer service quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing winning processes and establishing and communicating service metrics and monitoring and analysing results.
    • Develop and conduct customer service surveys. Ensure that customer service issues are attended timeously and provide appropriate resolution and alternatives. Identify, design and manage event/ programmes plans for external and internal events.
    • Oversee the hosting of events and programmes for stakeholders. Oversee the brand awareness campaigns. Develop Corporate Identity (CI) guidelines and oversee the alignment with City of Johannesburg (CoJ). Plan, prioritize and delegate work tasks to ensure proper functioning of the division.
    • Establish clear goals and process milestones in line with the business objectives. Adjust team strategies and initiatives to suit evolving customer requirements and opportunities for improvement. Develop, communicate and ensure effective review of the customer service policies and procedures as required by the company and the regulations.
    • Identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability. Manage customer escalations (reactive). Provide customer service that is available 24/7.

    Manager: Stakeholder Compliance

    Appointment Minimum Requirements: 

    • National Diploma (NQF6) in Communications/ Marketing Management/ Public Relations/ Media Studies or relevant equivalent 
    • 5 years’ relevant experience, of which 3 years must be at a supervisory capacity  

    Primary Function: 

    • To build relationships with all relevant stakeholders & City Power customers, and to monitor compliance with agreements, regulations and governance whilst enhancing the reputation of City Power. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Oversee and participate in relevant forums, influence and liaise with partners. Supervise, monitor and encourage the flow of information with Key Stakeholders, communities and customers.
    • Advice and create an understanding of approach to stakeholder interventions. Assign and implement appropriate stakeholder management tools to support stakeholder engagements.
    • Oversee and delegate the participation of City Power in key industry platforms and relevant forums, including conferences and discussion opportunities. Identify and provide opportunities to support CoJ community initiatives with CP and service advises.
    • Determining and formulating stakeholder requirements and needs. Communicate organisational commitment in terms of provision of service.
    • Build mutual trust at the stakeholders interface. Oversee and ensure the development, rollout and close out of customer satisfaction surveys for analytical purposes.
    • Drive customer education campaigns for all customers segments. Monitor service levels for Technical and Non-Technical query resolution.
    • Manage the communication of planned and unplanned interruptions to all Stakeholders or customers of City Power. Organise and provide professional presentations for both internal and external projects to different stakeholders.
    • Arrange and oversee over site visits with the Capex team, Regional directors and MMCs’. Oversee and ensure that the stakeholder team attend the Visible Service Delivery of awards in Regions all the time.
    • Manage Stakeholder Relations attendance and support off all CoJ events where VOC attendance is requirement for the events in the Stadium or Arena’s eg. Sport: Soccer, Rugby and Cricket etc.

    Officer: Communications

    Appointment Minimum Requirements: 

    • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Communications/ Marketing Management/ Public Relations/ Media Studies or relevant equivalent 
    • 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience in Internal Communications 

    Primary Function: 

    • To support the development and implementation of internal communication strategies that align with City Power's business objectives.
    • This role focuses on creating, managing, and disseminating content across various internal platforms to ensure that employees are well-informed, engaged, and aligned with the organization's goals.
    • The Internal Communications Officer collaborates with various departments to enhance employee satisfaction, supports executive management in engaging employees, and assists in maintaining effective communication channels.
    • Additionally, the role plays a key part in ensuring consistency and clarity in internal messaging and supports crisis communication efforts.  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Provide input in the development of the internal communications plan that aligns with business objectives. Create content for all internal communication channels, including newsletters, intranet, and bulletins.
    • Identify and recommend communication channels and platforms that enhance employee engagement and information sharing.
    • Assist in the management of selected communication tools such as newsletters, intranet, and bulletins. Support the creation of opportunities for executive management to engage with employees through workshops, roadshows, and other programs.
    • Establish relationships with internal stakeholders and provide support in various communication efforts. Support the planning and execution of internal events, ensuring they are aligned with communication strategies.
    • Assist in managing logistics and resources for workshops, seminars, and roadshows. Maintain and update the intranet and internal communication channels with accurate and timely information. Provide support during crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and consistent messaging.

    Senior Internal Communication Officer

    Appointment Minimum Requirements:

    • Additionally, the role supports the execution of crisis communication, promotes the corporate brand, and ensures that all internal communications are aligned with organizational goals and values.
    • The Senior Communication Officer also provides specialist advice, collaborates with departments to ensure message consistency, and contributes to the overall effectiveness of City Power's internal communication efforts.  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop, implement, and maintain the internal communications plan that aligns with business objectives. Enhance employee experience and value proposition through strategic communication initiatives.
    • Regularly review and update the communication plan to meet organizational needs. Identify and implement communication channels and platforms to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement. Research and gather information to identify critical communication issues.
    • Maintain web services by compiling announcements for the intranet and other internal platforms. Create, curate, and manage content for newsletters, memos, announcements, and all internal communication channels. Provide proofreading, editing, and design services for communication materials.
    • Ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with the brand voice. Collaborate with executive management and employees to source content for internal communication. Organize and coordinate employee workshops, seminars, and engagement initiatives such as roadshows.
    • Establish and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication. Provide a specialist or technical service to clients utilizing internal and external resources. Plan, organize, and execute employee workshops, seminars, and other internal and external events.
    • Participate in external events such as public events, stakeholder engagements, and media projects. Assist the Internal Communications Manager in managing and overseeing internal communications function.
    • Support the execution of communication strategies across the organization. Provide general support within the area of responsibility, utilizing existing systems to facilitate services to clients. Organize work according to established strategies, ensuring efficient coordination with other stakeholders.

    Specialist: Server

    Appointment Minimum Requirements: 

    • National Diploma (NQF 6) Information Technology 
    • 3 years’ relevant experience 

    Primary Purpose: 

    • Ensure availability, performance and maintenance of all City Power Server infrastructure environments. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Provide high level technical support on servers to ensure availability and optimum performance. Perform server installation, configuration and upgrade of new and existing server installations. Upgrade server hardware and software components as and when required. Monitor and analyze the performance of servers and troubleshoot any problems. Analyze and check server logs, track the nature and resolution of possible problems.
    • Knowledge and experience with installation, upgrade, and configuration of physical server and VMWare virtual server environments. Ensure servers are maintained accordingly. Install and configure Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP. Install, configure and administer Microsoft Exchange Server (On-premises & Online).
    • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Teams. Ability to respond to the needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources. Benchmark technology and services to global standards. Record all installations on inventories. Create technical and training materials in non-technical language.
    • Deliver training as required. Work with backup team to ensure all systems are backed up, to enable data recovery as required, including the provision of Business Continuity Services.
    • Work with appointed Service Provider to ensure maintenance of data centre facilities as per the agreed schedules. Approve and keep records of all data centre maintenance documentation (Job cards, etc).
    • Report and follow up with the Service Provider on all data centre related calls/faults. Manage Service Providers access to the Data Centres and ensure visitors’ register is signed.
    • Ensure availability and performance of DR site for business continuity. Ensure availability, functionality and performance of all systems/servers hosted at the DR site.
    • Give input into policies, processes, and standards. Audit the system and follow up on any audit queries and ensure that audit evidence is maintained in line with standard operating procedures. Participate in relevant governance structures with the focus of improving quality of the server environment/infrastructure.
    • Follow change control process for all changes and present changes at Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings. Provide reports on server performance and availability. Contribute towards the monthly, quarterly and ad hoc departmental reports.
    • Manage the provision of ICT service and ensure that customers receive service within specified timelines. Ensure that the highest standard of customer service is achieved throughout the division. Implement action plans to assist in areas where poor customer service has been identified.

    Artisan: Plumber

    Appointment Minimum Requirements: 

    • Matric (NQF 4) and a Plumbing Trade Certificate or Licensing 
    • Driver’s License 
    • Experience in Artisan-In-Training  

    Primary Purpose: 

    • Responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and waste disposal in City Power.  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Smooth function of the machines, Cost effective, Optimal utilization of tools, electrical equipment, machinery and vehicles for good working conditions. Minimal down time. Road worthiness of Vehicle. Coordinate shop floor operations and giving his inputs in the toolbox meetings. Optimal utilization of manpower available.
    • Compliance to condition of service procedures. Cost savings due to better planning. Increased productivity by fast response and completion of all defects. Safe environment. Compliance to Company processes and procedures. Reduction of accidents by completing a risk assessment before starting the work.
    • All employees in the workshop must be able to produce 100% efficiency. Compliance to safety standards. To have safe working environment. General Hygiene is maintained. Safe working condition. Work is done according to SABS Code of Practice.
    • Quality control by only using SABS approved material. Safe working procedures. Safe working environment is maintained, and safety standards and procedures are at adhered to.
    • Ensuring that work is done within the quoted budget. Quality work produced. Ensure work is done. within the quoted budget. Comparison of quotation against the invoice.
    • Check delivered material on site and make sure that its verified. Loading and unloading of heavy equipment. Unblocking of sewer drains. Installation of new sanitary ware.
    • Repairs to burst water pipe’s. Installation of geysers.

    Senior Advisor: Legal Services

    Appointment Minimum Requirements: 

    • BProc and/or LLB (Attorney or Advocate) 
    • 3 years’ relevant experience  

    Primary Function:  

    • Provide strategic guidance and policy to achieve legal compliance and good governance in all transactions undertaken by City Power.  

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Monitor regulatory environment to identify new applicable regulatory items and amendments to existing legislation. Analyse applicable regulatory items to identify and interpret specific compliance requirements. Provide advice in respect of regulatory items 
    • Identify which draft Bills and draft subordinate legislation are gazetted for public comment. Circulate draft Bills and draft subordinate legislation to relevant business units. Consult with affected business units on draft regulatory items to solicit comments or further engagements. Coordinate and compile written comments on draft Bills and draft subordinate legislation.
    • Ensure timely submission of written comments to Regulatory Authorities and/or relevant Stakeholders. Tracking of Government gazettes. Manage risks occasioned by litigation by: Promptly responding to all litigation matters for and against the organisation.
    • Managing all legal documents and court processes on behalf of the organisation. Analysing cases in order to provide legal advice/opinion and make recommendations on the prospects of success. Instructing panel Attorneys to defend cases brought against the organisation. Instructing panel Attorneys institute legal proceedings on behalf of the organisation. Attending to consultation with panel Attorneys and Advocates.
    • Facilitating consultations between responsible business units and panel Attorneys and/or Advocates. Following up with responsible business units to ensure requested information is submitted timeously to panel Attorneys. Collate information submitted by responsible business units to ensure accuracy and relevance. 
    • Consider the legality of the recommendations in the investigation reports and advise on the implementation of such. 
    • Drafting of legal opinions. 
    • Receiving and perusing legal opinions provided by Panel Attorneys and /or Advocates and interpreting it to the end user department. 
    • Review court decisions and advise the organisation accordingly. .Pro-actively managing legal risks to reduce unnecessary legal costs.

Proactively identify and implement opportunities to optimize and refine reporting practices. Support project documentation reviews as required, ensuring accuracy and completeness
    • . Maintain a well-organized archive of historical project reports, ensuring seamless access for audits and reference purposes. Offer ongoing recommendations to the PMO to improve project management methodologies and address issues that could impact the delivery of strategic programs and projects. Analyse project data to identify trends, deviations, and areas requiring attention. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve project efficiency and effectiveness. 
    • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand specific reporting needs for individual projects or departments. Tailor reports to meet those unique requirements, ensuring the delivery of relevant and actionable insights. Monitor and report on project risks and issues, helping project managers proactively address challenges.
    • Highlight potential roadblocks and recommend mitigation strategies. Keep up to date with industry best practices, advancements in reporting technologies, and emerging trends in data analytics. Recommend improvements to reporting methodologies and tools to drive continuous enhancement.
