    Engineering Superintendent

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implementing and managing maintenance plans for areas of responsibility and communicating monthly and weekly maintenance targets; and monitoring and offering technical guidance to Instrument Technicians to ensure the safe delivery of targets.
    • Managing resource capability, allocation, utilisation and driving the delivery of targets and equipment availability.
    • Measuring the performance of Technicians, providing guidance and coaching through the implementation of good standards and best practice.
    • Ensuring adherence to Legislation, Policies, Procedures, Standards and Operating Procedures in areas of responsibility.
    • Engaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational problems in areas of responsibility as necessary.
    • Ensuring that daily performance monitoring and interventions are in place to support and correct performance in areas of responsibility.

    Minimum Qualifications and experience

    • N6 Certificate with Engineering Subjects (Instrumentation) and valid Trade Test (Instrumentation) OR National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Instrumentation major subjects) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician; OR
    • A relevant degree and completion of the Graduate Development Programme.
    • Coal Processing Plant Experience with knowledge on Siemens PLC’s, SCADA and Programming

    Human Resources Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Providing general Human Resources Services to the operation.
    • Ensuring compliance with Human Resources Policies, Procedures and legislation.
    • Advising Line Management regarding fair and consistent procedures and actions in line with applicable Policies and Procedures including disciplinary hearings.
    • Assisting with Human Resources reporting, trend monitoring, and projects as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources or any other relevant tertiary qualification.

    Minimum Experience

    • 2 years HR Generalist experience.
    • Knowledge and experience of the SAP Human Capital Module.
    • MS Office proficiency.

    Production Superintendent – Truck and Shovel

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implementing and managing resource plans for areas of responsibility and communicating monthly and weekly production targets; and monitoring and offering technical guidance to Supervisors to ensure the safe delivery of production targets.
    • Managing resource capability, allocation, utilisation and driving productivity to deliver the targets.
    • Measuring the performance of Supervisors, providing guidance and coaching through the implementation of good standards and best practice.
    • Ensuring adherence to Legislation, Policies, Procedures, Standards and Operating Procedures in areas of responsibility.
    • Engaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational problems in areas of responsibility as necessary.
    • Tracking previous truck and shovel / dragline performance and changes in geological conditions when designing plans together with the Mining Engineer and signing off on the plans.
    • Accepting truck and shovel / dragline areas from other mining teams.
    • Overseeing and ensuring that preparations and block standards are correct.
    • Measuring and reporting on actual versus planned to the Mining Engineer (depth and location) and reporting on any deviations.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Either a Grade 12, Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines and a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a Production Supervisor Level; OR
    • A relevant degree, Surface Blasting Certificate and a minimum of 2 years’ experience at a Production Supervisor Level.
