    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    You are responsible for the following per your allocated area of responsibility:

    • Responsible for managing daily deliverables of the contract on site.
    • Including but not limited to the following operations:
    • Operations & Maintenance
    • Project upgrades and modernizations
    • Responsible for the Health & Safety Culture on site.
    • Responsible for delivery according to the scope of contract and any deviations from the agreement.
    • Responsible to ensure process compliance of the site
    • Responsible for all communications i.e. performance reviews, daily, weekly and monthly reporting as well as escalation of issues.
    • Give input to sales opportunities from a perspective of delivery and capacity management including up-sales and renewals of existing agreements.
    • Managing the service and operational team
    • Managing the supplier/contractor SLA
    • Managing the site stakeholder relationship including the customer, suppliers and service providers.

    Safety officer

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Develop and support OHS policies and programs.
    • Ensure workforce protection and safe equipment operation.
    • Identify hazards and mitigate risks.
    • Review and update existing policies and measures according to legislation.
    • Inspect premises and personnel work to identify issues or non-conformities (e.g., not using protective equipment).
    • Participate in incident investigations to determine causes and manage worker’s compensation claims with relevant role players.
    • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • National Diploma in Safety Management is an advantage.
    • OSHA and NEBOSH certifications are preferred.
    • 5 years of experience in a safety-related field in a workshop environment.
    • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a results-driven approach.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.

    Specialist, Separation

    Job duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide superior technical expertise to site installation/construction teams in the area of installation and commissioning of Metso On-Stream Analysers and Samplers  
    • Carry out the execution of the agreed project installation & commissioning scope at customer sites
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement feedback loop with Line Manager, Project Delivery and Technical Support
    • Provide input for improvement of engineering design to enhance efficiencies in assembly, installation and commissioning activities
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper fulfilment of reporting requirements (e.g. site reports, time sheets, Inspection Test Plans, leads, adherence to specifications, recommendations, Non-Conformance Reports, safety notifications etc.)
    • Troubleshoot installation and commissioning problems on equipment, including gaining assistance from higher certified service representatives as may be required to ensure the quality and functionality of the installation delivery
    • Ensure an active and thorough level of communication is continuous and consistent between site, Project Manager, Line Manager, Business Line, Product Group and Market Area
    • Identify sales opportunities and promote service offerings with customers through local Market Area to customers
    • Ensure compliance with all Metso QEHS rules and regulations as well as customer and local QEHS legislation
    • Perform safety inspections at the workplace prior to starting any work
    • Review Job Safety Analysis’ (JSA’s) for any specific job at site and adjust as installation & site conditions change
    • Ensure correct usage of PPE
    • Report any unsafe conditions

    Qualifications

    • Education/Training: Technical qualification in a related engineering or trade discipline
    • Experience: 5 years in a mineral processing environment, along with suitable installation and commissioning experience

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Bachelor’s degree in business management or engineering
    • Process or technical qualification (preferred)
    • Experience in the area of Mechanical Maintenance and Mineral Processing
    • Leading a team of operational and maintenance teams
    • Relevant industry knowledge including international business relations
    • Maintenance planning and scheduling
    • Planning and organising risk management.

    Pump Technician

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Assures customer and FSE team have access to high quality product and technical support provided in a time frame respectful of Metso’s customers’ sense of urgency.
    • Establishes best practice customer technical support services for Metso equipment.
    • Supports internal / external customers with technical information facilitating the successful completion of assigned activities, responsibilities and service projects.
    • Identifies potential new product/spares offerings which result from the review and analysis of the process problem at hand.
    • Effectively and accurately install and commissions Metso equipment.
    • Undertake effective and accurate repairs to Metso equipment and in accordance with Metso Standards.
    • Interpersonal skills are required due to regular interaction and feedback with the customers.
    • Provide accurate instructions and training to customers’ plant personnel and maximize Metso products and services.
    • Must be able to effectively and accurately work in a fast paced environment on several projects simultaneously, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • Trades Papers in Fitting - Essential
    • Computer Literate
    • Understanding and principles of customer relations and interaction
    • Grade 12
    • Minimum 5 years’ field service experience on mining process equipment (Crushers / Pumps) - Essential
    • 5 Years Pump and Crusher experience - Advantageous
    • Ability to effectively communicate with a drive and performance orientation
    • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
    • Valid driver’s license (C1)
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 – 2008
    • Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Act
    • Knowledge of Occupation Health and Safety Act
