    Mechanical Artisan Assistant (Properties) - Free State

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

    • Assist in maintaining operational efficiency:
    • Assist artisan in the performance of mechanical repairs.
    • Perform mechanical maintenance duties.
    • Perform routine preventative maintenance.
    • Change oil, lubricate machines, and check mechanical equipment.
    • Use variety of hand, power tools and equipment to do repairs.
    • Check batteries, fan belts, air and oil filters, wiper blades, headlights and lamps.
    • Cleaning parts and machines for and after repairs.
    • Perform minor repairs and change minor parts.
    • Upgrade, replace and maintain assets.
    • Maintain shop and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
    • Driving and testing of vehicles (machines).
    • Cleaning and maintaining artisans tool and vehicle.
    • Respond to emergency breakdowns and repair as necessary.
    • Adhere to applicable SANS while performing mechanical duties.
    • Deal with breakdowns within a four-hour time limit.

    Workshop Foreman - Lichtenburg

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • Responsible for effective management of technical and administrative aspects regarding the workshop.

    ASSIST WITH EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF WORKSHOP ACTIVITIES:

    Core Tasks:

    • Assist in initiating new job cards with relevant information
    • Assist with daily management of orders and attendance to complaints
    • Render technical support/assistance (internal/external)

    • Assist with financial management of workshop (budgets per technician, hour, travelling, sublets).
    • Assist with high quality internal & external communication.
    • Assist with health and safety compliance.

    EFFECTIVE MENTORING OF PERSONNEL:

    Core Tasks:

    • Manage scheduling of workshop personnel.
    • Inform staff about desired outcomes in terms of goals and objectives.
    • Observe performance and provide constructive feedback regularly.
    • Assist with developing staff to full potential.
    • Identify potential for accelerated development.
    • Support candidates during development process.
    • Adhere to responsibilities according to relevant legislation & regulations (BCEA, LRA, OSH Act).

    PERFORM TECHNICAL DUTY AS REQUIRED PER MANDATE:

    Core Tasks:

    • Provide service and maintenance of Agri-mechanical equipment.
    • Maintain minimum set hours service delivery per month as per management mandate.
    • Monitor workshop productivity per technician.
    • Ensure high quality of service delivery.

    Receiving Clerk (Agrifriend)

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • Receive stock in order to ensure effective stock management.

    RECEIVE STOCK

    Core Tasks:

    • Receive ordered stock from vendor and or third party.
    • Check stock delivered against waybill (quantity and or quality).
    • Report deviances or breakages on waybill according to internal procedure.
    • Confirm stock received by stamping and signing the delivery note.
    • Check stock delivered against delivery note or invoice.
    • Report deviances or breakages on delivery note according to internal procedure.
    • Receive stock on system according to the delivery note.
    • Distribute stock to the sales department.
    • File relevant documents according to rules stipulated.
    • Reconcile couriers accounts.
    • Update and maintain BIN locations.

    HANDLE QUERIES:

    Core Tasks:

    • Obtain authorisation number for returns from the vendor.
    • In case of shortages report to vendor.
    • Handle creditors queries invoice variances.

    MANAGE DISTRIBUTION OF STOCK:

    Core Tasks:

    • Prepare package for pick up.
    • Complete waybill and shipping documents.
    • Ensure signing of waybill and shipping documents.
    • Filing of shipping documents according to rules stipulated.

    • Qualifications: National Senior Certificate
    • Requirements: At least 2 to 3 years retail experience.

    Heavy Vehicle Driver (EPA)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:

    • Perform general transportation.
    • Receive tasks from branch manager.
    • Ensure that the load is safely delivered on time to the correct destination.
    • Ensure that the load is properly secured on the vehicle.
    • Ensure that the relevant proof of delivery or reception of the load is signed off.
    • Ensure that traffic regulations are adhered to at all times.
    • Ensure that the invoices and fuel slips are handed in on a daily basis.
    • Ensure the correct tyre pressure according to the weight of the load on the vehicle.
    • Ensure that the vehicle’s license disk is visible and valid.

    Ensure roadworthiness of vehicle 

    • Ensure that the vehicle is road worthy in terms of maintenance and licensing
