    Officer (S): Office Administrator (R736A)

    Responsibilities:

    • General administration and office management
    • Information and record keeping of Division purchases
    • Assist with organizing travel arrangements and S&T processing
    • Assist with asset management including asset transfer, laptop registers, equipment at home forms
    • Manage purchase of stationery and consumable goods for Pretoria and Cape Town offices
    • Order equipment and appliances for Pretoria and Cape Town
    • Petty Cash Administration, ensuring that all these requests are adequately saved
    • Ensure that administrative deadlines are met, and tasks are performed efficiently
    • Collate requested information and solicit outstanding documents
    • Soliciting, validating, capturing and loading research outputs from grant and scholarship beneficiaries
    • Professional stakeholder communications and relations

    Core Requirements:

    • 1-2 Years Post Matric qualification
    • 2 Years experience in Office Administration
    • Good Organisational and Time Management Skills
    • Strong Communication Skills
    • Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)

    Advantageous:

    • At least 3-year qualification in Office administration, Business administration or related
    • 2+ Years experience in Office Administration, preferable in healthcare or research environment

    Internship (Mechanical Engineering Graduates) (R739A)

    Minimum requirements and Eligibility:

    • 4-year degree in mechanical engineering
    • Interest in biopharmaceutical manufacturing/maintenance
    • Computer literate
    • Ability to communicate effectively and write reports

    Fieldworker/Senior Research Technician - Cape Town

    Responsibilities:

    • Ensuring compliance with study protocols
    • Data quality assurance
    • Familiarity with online data collection programmes
    • Screening, recruitment and enrolment of participants
    • Tracking and retaining participants in the study for all study appointments
    • Completion of consent
    • Transporting and tracking participants to study appointments
    • Communication with various stakeholders in the community
    • Organising and participation in community workshops

    Core Requirements:

    • Grade 12/ Matric
    • 1 (one) year minimum research experience in working with substance use and HIV (including behavioural interventions) including in the community.
    • Some data capturing and administration experience within the research environment.

    Advantageous:

    • 1 or 2 year accredited course/certificate/diploma/ relevant to the job/discipline (preferred)
    • Up to three years research experience as above
