    Senior Researcher: Mathematics Education - ETDP-SETA Research Chair in Mathematics Education (3-Year Contract) (Job ID: 5965)

    Vice-Dean: Learning, Teaching, Innovation and Digitalisation (Contract Appointment: Five (5) Years, with the Possibility of Reappointment for a Further Term) (Appointed for 20% of the Time) (Job ID 5977)

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Take co-responsibility with the Dean to ensure the achievement of the mission of all faculty-based programmes and initiatives.

    Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Organic Chemistry (Contract Appointment: 1 Year and Renewable up to 3 Years): Department of Chemistry (Job ID: 5970)

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Conduct innovative confidential research concerning the multi-step synthesis of an anti-diabetic compound. This will include method development and optimization, as well as process development for the upscaling of the synthesis.  
    • Co-author documents for a patent application and a manuscript suitable for publication in a DHET– accredited scholarly journal. The renewal of the fellowship beyond the first year depends on satisfactory performance and the submission of an annual progress report.

    Research Integrity

    • Foster a research environment that encourages responsible conduct of research.
