Job Description

• Responsible for using a handheld scanner to track items as they leave or enter the warehouse. To ensure that the inventory base is accurate and up to date as possible.

We need:

• Grade 12
• Basic Knowledge of warehouse functions and wool administration systems.
• Good computer literacy
• Effective communication
• Writing and arithmetic skills.
• Precision and accuracy.
• Attention to detail.
• Be able to operate a tablet.

KEY FUNCTIONS:

• Marking/tagging of bales
• Scanning of bales
• Reassigning tags
• Report irregularities while scanning bales
• Quality Control
• Ad Hoc duties as requested by line manager

Job Description

• Responsible for the transportation and handling of bales on the HD press floor to the stowage area.

We need:

• Matric
• 3 years’ experience in the wool store
• Forklift license (valid)
• Must be able to work in a team
• Must take responsibility for own work output
• Good interpersonal skills
• Writing and arithmetic skills
• Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
• Must be able to perform under pressure and follow instructions

KEY FUNCTIONS: 

• Ensure that the flow of bales is continuous and uninterrupted
• Use Hyster effectively and efficiently to ensure maximum productivity.
• Ensure that the forklift is in working order
• Adhere to the rules and regulations of Health and Safety
• Perform all ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by his/her superior anywhere in the plant (BKB)
• Always maintain a safe speed while ensuring productivity on the S & V floor
