    Field Operations Manager

    Position Summary

    • Management of the Area Infant Nutrition Field operations team, business, and resources, through setting and driving a nationally aligned business strategy and leading a high performing team, of Medical Delegate's to compliantly execute the strategy to meet the business objectives.

    A day in the life of a Nestle Infant Nutrition Field Operations Manager:

    • To contribute to ,plan, execute and evaluate the Area Operational Masterplan (OMP) and action plans based on the business insights (area demographics ,Health Care Institutions information, Health Care Professionals information, competitor data and activity, market share, tender opportunities, sales related data, recommendation- and prescription data, consumer- and Health Care Professionals research, Medical Field Forces structure), the Area and National business objectives, Marketing cycle plan as well as the available resources to ensure growth in Market share and Nestle Product advocacy.  
    • Using the Code Management system for the specific market as the guiding document to ensure that all activities within the team and region, comply with the WHO International Code for the marketing of Breastmilk substitutes, Nestle Instructions, and the local regulations.
    • To create a team of high performing Medical Delegates that can deliver on the business results through skills level evaluation, coaching, supporting, and directing them, to achieve the desired skills level for the global skills programmes as well as the functional competencies for Medical Delegate's and to support their career plans through the Performance Development Plan to ensure optimal development and retention of high performers.
    • Area/ National Key Opinion Leader identification, relationship building and development, and interactions with the aim of meeting the objectives of the regional action plan and increase advocacy.
    • Management of the allocated, area resources: Budget, Medical Delegate tools of trade, detailing materials, and samples as per the required process and procedures to ensure compliance and meet the business targets.
    • Ensure product availability in Health Care Institution's and for recommendation By Health Care Professional’s by contributing to the monthly forecasting information to the supply chain team as per the needs of the area institutions, Medical Delegate feedback on the product availability in the different trade channels, relevant sales reports as well as communication of all order queries from institutions to the Customer services team and feedback to the institution.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • 2-3 years First Line Manager Position in Operation/Medical Marketing with the associated people management responsibilities of recruitment, coaching, and performance management as well as the strategic, business and resource management responsibilities OR 3-4 years Performance development management. Advance to expert skills competency level required.  
    • Long term relationship building, Key Opinion Leader management and business negotiations.                                                                                             
    • Coordinating Scientific meetings and presenting to groups.
    • Collaborating with internal and external counterparts for insights and strategy execution support.

    Operational Buying Support Specialist

    Position Summary

    • In this role the incumbent will be responsible for the procurement of Services and Indirect Materials, thus ensuring that their unit receives materials that correspond to the correct quality and specification at the lowest total cost to the company.

    A day in the life of an Operational Buyer:
    Sourcing:      

    • To identify, select and negotiate with strategically advantaged suppliers-whereby latest technology and innovative concepts can be accessed.                 
    • To continually consult with internal stakeholders to ensure that suppliers meet requirements in terms of specifications and services.                 
    • To plan and procure according to required stock levels and in line with AMM and working capital targets.            
    • To communicate effectively with other departments / functions regarding the supplier and price information.                 
    • To continually look for best practices to reduce total cost for the Company.                

    Supplier Management:      

    • To ensure that suppliers are sourced and managed in line with Nestlé’s BEE targets and policy.                 
    • To continually assess vendor’s ability to meet Nestlé’s requirements through formal meetings, factory, and field visits.                
    • To manage supplier performance through continuous assessment and to rectify poor performance immediately.             

    Purchasing strategy:         

    • To achieve the agreed cost reduction targets                 
    • To negotiate price increase requests within the agreed budgeted parameters and market forces thereby maintaining Nestlé’s competitive advantage.                 
    • To create and transmit purchase orders to external suppliers timeously and cost effectively, taking cognizance of stock on hand, lead-times, and effective order quantities.

    Business Process Specialist

    Position Summary

    • In this role you will be responsible for ensure efficient operation of the production section in terms of administration, planning control, best practice application, psa stock management and sap data accuracies. Ensure that the Globe template and T&P processes are a fit to meet the business requirements Advise, Train, and support Team Leaders, End Users of how specific business requirements can be best supported by the Globe Application Template and assist in the implementation and maintenance thereof.   Establish formal communication channel with FICO & QA.

    A day in the life of a Business Process Specialist: 
    T&P Tasks:

    Manage process orders:

    • Release process orders daily and instruct factory planner with alternatives.
    • Order from Stores & Replenish (stage for) raw and packaging materials.
    • Supervise the capture SAM / downtime; run time and all stoppages.
    • Ensures the Capture of the daily consumption of raw and packaging materials against the correct process order (use scanning where applicable)
    • Ensure accurate capture of daily output and labelling of HALB.
    • Close off PI sheet daily with 100% accuracy. 
    • TECO process orders after all checks and balances is place for daily reconciliation. (Check MUV, hours, clearance of material reservations: MRP)
    • Investigation, Reconcile FERT with 3d party external Warehouse M’ment. [Audit requirement] including follow up resolution discrepancies.
    • Train end user to do daily capturing and assist in any problems.

    Financial Control and Stock management:

    • Perform daily stock check and ensure that SAP system stock and physical stock matches (Material number, Quantity, Batch number and SSC Label). Differences in theoretical and actual stock must be reconciled immediately prior to process end, Responsible for training the operators on the methodology including competence assessment.
    • Weekly and monthly stock counting of PSA (141,145 & 172)  
    • Monthly Stock verification with management accounting department.
    • Chair and manage weekly variance meetings with costing (ADMIN) department.
    • Control variances (labour and material) and implementation of appropriate action.

    Rework:

    • Supervise the rework champions operations:
    • Ensure that daily stock checks are performed and that SAP system stock and physical stock matches (Material number, Quantity, Batch number and SSC Label)
    • Weekly and monthly stock counting of PSA - Stock verification with management accounting department
    • Supervise the use of rework into the product (ensure FEFO) applies.
    • Ensure correct recording of consumption of rework per process order.
    • Oversee the sale of CHOX and ensure all best practices are followed.
    • Train end-users in Rework Management according to T&P, MH BP.

    Procurement Specialist

    Position Summary

    • The Procurement Specialist is responsible for understanding, communicating, and helping to implement sourcing strategies on a local level (at the market) including new or changing items/services, P2P channel management and of new suppliers. The Procurement Specialist gathers data and business requirements and conveys local requirements to transmit them to Local Business Partners and Local Sourcing teams and Above Market Category teams for setting actions/strategies accordingly.  He/she will work to liaise with the NiM stakeholders for assigned scope focused on functions and plant, production and Co-Man sites in the Market concerned.

    A day in the life of a Procurement Specialist:

    • Provide the Local Business Partner with information and requirements gathered through the daily business and report to him/her on a regular basis.
    • Proactively understand the business needs and requirements within the assigned scope for functional and plant level requirements in the NiM serviced.
    • Carry out as directed any data retrieval, analysis and representation required, mapping how ordering (P2P) and channels work within the locations serviced, and identify improvements to be targeted.
    • Interface with local suppliers as required to help with any supplier development, or supplier switch out activities as directed by category and sourcing teams.
    • Work with HOP and Business partners to integrate sourcing plans and outcomes in local budgets and price planning processes as required.
    • As directed by category and sourcing teams, act to integrate innovation, renovation, and post award cost improvement elements from suppliers into all in scope functional or site/production processes, ensuring that all supplies to that site adhere to Nestlé's Suppliers Code and all actions from audit events are acted upon.
    • Provide information and support for Procurement Ensure Supply process - PES(e.g.  Prioritized list of materials for risk analysis, input for criteria for risk analysis).

    What will make you successful?

    • B Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification.
    • 5 years in Procurement and commodity and financial background would be beneficial.
    • Demonstrated success in delivering competitive advantage to the business through development and implementation of sourcing strategies for the spend category in charge over a sustained period (2-3 years).
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects.
    • Demonstrated successful use of risk management, analyses, responsible sourcing, and supplier relation management.
    • Negotiate successfully in cross-functional and cross-market teams
