    Project Manager (Refinery Site Work)

    Job description

    • Understanding client’s requirement and assist then in defining the project requirements when needed (raw materials, technical requirements, surveys on site etc.)
    • Liaising with Suppliers and Sub contractors to get quotations as per technical requirements. Finding new suppliers when needed and negotiate prices, terms, and conditions
    • Participating in projects kick-off meetings with other departments to determine project requirements
    • Participating in project evaluation and quotes to be approved by Project Manager/ Operations Manager
    • Acknowledgement of receipt of clients purchase order and verifying it against the offer
    • Closing of projects, including making the final inspection with the client and obtaining sign-off
    • Managing client relationships
    • Participating in the QA and Safety Management systems development
    • Ensuring personnel compliance with Company and client QHSE policies and systems
    • Liaising with HSE coordinator when specific project related HSE procedures are needed
    • Complying with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal and regulatory requirements as stipulated by Company requirements

    Profile

    The successful applicant will be in possession of the following qualifications and skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
    • 10 years of relevant refinery/Oil & Gas/Piping experience
    • Project Management/Site Management skills
    • Leadership skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Client interface experience

    Project Manager / Site Manager (Marine Repair and Shipyard Work)

    About the job

    The successful applicant will be responsible for the following:

    • Coordinate Marine Site activities.
    • Coordinate and carry out surveys on site as and prepare quotations and costing estimations.
    • Coordinate Project management (including procurement, fabrication follow-up, project profitability report)
    • Coordinate ‘Start Up’ meetings with Workshop Foreman / Yard Supervisors with project commencement and as required during the project phase.
    • Overall follow up and reporting on the project
    • Contact and liaise with clients and stakeholders to clarify technical, commercial and schedule aspects
    • Coordinate, follow up and monitor, with the Workshop Foreman / team leaders, critical resources such as :
    1. Equipment (type and quantity to be adapted to the workload)
    2. Stock (Consumables, hand tool equipment and raw material)
    3. Maintenance operations
    • Coordinate and organize the procurement of raw material for projects as charged. Orders and purchase consumables and material as required for the workshop/yard/offices as approved by management
    • Coordinate and ensure that issued drawings and technical information correspond to the client and contract requirements
    • Coordinate with the QA/QC department for project preparation (i.e., Welding book, WPS, Selection of qualified welders and NDT requirements) during the project
    • Prepare the Project Summary upon project completion for management
    • Complies with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal and regulatory requirements as stipulated by company requirements

    Education & Qualifications

    • Relevant Trade or Mechanical Engineering qualification
    • 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Project Engineer / Superintendent / Site Manager in the Marine Maintenance / Construction / Survey industry.
    • Mechanical Fitting / Maintenance and Fabrication experience

    • Contact and liaise with clients and stakeholders to clarify technical aspects of projects
    • Coordinate, follow up and monitor, with the Workshop Foreman / team leaders, critical resources such as :
    • Equipment (type and quantity to be adapted to the workload)
    • Stock (Consumables, hand tool equipment and raw material)
    • Maintenance operations
    • Coordinate and organize the procurement of raw material for projects as charged.  Orders and purchase consumables and material as required for the workshop/yard/offices as approved by management
    • Coordinate and ensure that issued drawings and technical information correspond to the client and contract requirements
    • Coordinate with the QA/QC department for project preparation (i.e. Welding book, WPS, Selection of qualified welders and NDT requirements) during the project
    • Monitor the fabrication and report the progress during production meetings, and upon request by management and clients
    • Coordinate, prepare, assist and review Fabrication Data Book with the QC Department
    • Coordinate prepare the Project Summary upon project completion for management
    • Identify and develop new clients / markets / establish commercial contacts and do business development, with managements approval
    • Complies with all relevant health, safety, environmental, quality, legal and regulatory requirements as stipulated by company requirements

    Education & Qualifications

    • BSc/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering or related qualification

    Knowledge and Experience:

    • 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Project Engineer in Heavy Fabrication
