    Engineering Manager - iOS (Remote)

    - Reach 30 employee's globally 

    - Create and structure the standards, processes, and documentation

    About the role

    We are looking for an Engineering Manager who will lead and manage our team of talented engineers to build the next generation of iOS Apps. You will have the opportunity to create software that directly impacts how millions of customers use our products. We have 5 iOS engineers contributing to the team, and we aim to reach ten by the end of 2021. 

     

    As the leader of the team, your primary concern and responsibility are the individual. You will deal with each member of the team on a personal level. You will need to understand the dynamic of the group, how it constantly evolves, the changes in structures, and the varying degrees of pressure. You will be very much attached to day-to-day trials and tribulations. You are the mission delivery team leader and manage a group of experts to perform specific tasks.

     

    Being the interface between strategy and delivery in a two-way relationship, you will work with the leadership team and translate directives to your team as actionable tasks and deliverables. You will have your team's best interests and wellbeing as a primary concern and ensure that they are represented and influence decisions.

     

    Responsibilities 

    • Be good with people and ensure team happiness
    • Provide a reasonable structure and standards to allow engineers to focus on their goals
    • Establish a high-level engineering culture
    • Ensure guidance on team struggles, helping to solve technical problems, or pairing with teammates
    • Identify high performers that need to be nurtured, and lower performers that need assistance
    • Ensure deliveries and highest standards
    • Identify opportunities and forecast roadblocks
    • Improve productivity and reduce costs


     Expected activities 

     (35% Technical, 35% Managerial, 15% Administrative, 15% Recruiting)

    • People management
    • Write less code than the senior developers on the team, but enough to keep your skills sharp
    • Creating timelines and plan long and short term engineering efforts
    • Manage sprints and their rapidly changing scope
    • Meetings with technical and non-technical team members
    • Conduct regular 1:1s with your teammates 
    • Help our product team create technical specs
    • Make software choices and adapt to the fast-changing industry 
    • Adapt and create standards
    • Report to the leadership team

You will define and establish the role of the PMM at Air App which includes setting up and staffing up the marketing team.     •    Create and own the roadmap and strategy across ASO and paid marketing channels

    •    Manage development of all creative assets (including app store assets and static/video assets used for paid channels) by working closely with creative team.
    •   Collaborate with creative team and ASO responsible to develop app store assets with updated features while incorporating findings from ASO and paid campaigns.
    •   Set and keep track of quarterly OKR’s in weekly meetings with individual team members.
    •  Manage relationships with key partners in the mobile ecosystem (e.g. Google, Apple, Search Ads....)

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years of proven experience in ASO and paid mobile app marketing (experience in Google Ads, Search Ads, and Facebook Ads required).
    • Experience using third party mobile attribution tool such as Appsflyer, Adjust, or Kochava to drive effective campaign optimization strategies
    • Deep knowledge of modern analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools. Including data visualization tools.
    • Analytical skills and experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Your goal will be to ensure that our apps appear at the top of search results and to improve key metrics that drive conversions, such as TTR and CR. You will collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to optimize organic user acquisition through App Store meta-data tests and improvements.
