    Price File Coordinator

    Summary

    • To take responsibility for the management and maintenance of the Group’s price file and ensure it is accurately maintained and updated for positive contribution to the Group’s revenue. The incumbent is also accountable for conducting data analysis to determine the appropriate pricing plans according to market conditions

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Management and Maintenance: Oversee the management and maintenance of the pharmaceutical price file, ensuring it is accurate and up to date
    • Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis to determine appropriate pricing plans according to market conditions
    • Communication: Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding changes in price file items and rand value and interact with pharmacy managers to determine new prices
    • Reporting: Prepare reports regarding product movement and usage as requested
    • Compliance: Ensure vendors comply with company standards and maintain an audit process for unauthorised changes
    • Serve as the point of contact for pharmaceutical enquiries related to pricing

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Registration as a Pharmacist Assistant

    Work Experience

    • 1-2 years’ experience in administrative capacity
    • Previous healthcare experience in a similar role will be advantageous
    • Good understanding of pharmaceutical procurement processes
    • Comprehensive knowledge of SAP (or related platform)

    Pharmacy Stores Clerk

    Summary

    • The Pharmacy Stores Clerk will be responsible for the processing of the one for one replenishment, replenishing ward stock, unpacking and processing of patient credits. The pharmacy clerk has the responsibility of unpacking surgical stock, bar coding the stock and packing the stock onto the stores shelf. The Pharmacy Clerk assists nursing staff in ensuring that stock is replenished on the wards and units for patient care and new product information

    Requirements

    • Higher Certificate in Inventory Management and Stock Control or Diploma in Store Management / or equivalent
    • Grade 12

    Work Experience

    • 1-2 Years working experience
    • Working experience in private healthcare or healthcare funding industry will be advantageous
    • Working experience on SAP will be advantageous

    Knowledge

    • Ordering of Surgical stock for the hospital according to SOP while adhering to formulary requirements i.e. replenishing the pharmacy surgical stores
    • Receiving of stock delivered to pharmacy
    • Unpacking, barcoding and checking of surgical stock & binning of all surgical stock weekly Controlling of surgical stock in the dispensary with special attention to expiry dates, formulary compliance and usage
    • Performing regular cycle counts and assist in full stock take process
    • Replenishment of surgical stock to the wards and theatre
    • Following up on “out of stock “and “to follows”. Request out of stock letters and communicate this to the unit managers
    • Management of over and under recoveries
    • Processing all transfers of surgical stock to wards and theatres
    • Issuing and charging of surgical stock to in patients
    • Assisting the wards in determining min /max levels & assisting in updating ward stock lists
    • All duties assigned by management from time to time

    Registered Nurse - Scrub Sister

    Summary

    • The Registered Nurse will render and promote cost effective, safe quality patient care in accordance to hospital standards and policies. As a Professional Practitioner, the incumbent also is responsible for and is held accountable for his/her own acts and omissions. The incumbent will further be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or a group of patients, for assessing, planning, executing and supervising the implementation of care to meet patient needs. Is a role model in the delivery of evidence-based care and will actively participate in clinical governance, auditing health records to ensure compliance, ensuring all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately, effective risk prevention and management, manage acuity and skill mix to ensure appropriate level of care

    Requirements

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
    • Relevant qualification within a specialist area will be advantageous
    • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislation

    • Contribute to the holistic care of patients
    • Attend handover of report at shift commencement. Audit of health records to ensure compliance
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care
    • Promote and maintain good public relations with patients, relatives and visitors
    • Practice the principles of infection prevention and control
    • Carry out all departmental duties as assigned, and perform other duties as reasonably requested by the Unit Manager or senior member of staff
    • Administer and store medication in accordance with the hospital policies. Ensure all stock is well controlled and managed, charged and credited appropriately
