    Payroll Team Leader

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a motivated and experienced Payroll Team Leader to oversee a team of payroll specialists and ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organisation. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of payroll processes and regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for all payroll functions, this includes South Africa, & foreign countries where applicable
    • Ensuring the accuracy of payroll preparation for clients and processing, payroll accounting (recons), benefits maintenance and various special payments coordination.
    • Conducting regular file manager audits and compliance thereto
    • Responding to enquiries related to payroll and providing guidance on the prevailing laws governing payroll and income taxes, employee benefits, garnishments, reimbursement policies and other statutory pay related entitlements.
    • Approve monthly payroll changes as and when necessary, after payroll closure
    • Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies (Recons)
    • Reconcile the salary related accounts for the Clients to System on a as and when necessary.
    • All reconciled items are to be cleared in the following month which they were identified in
    • Maintaining accuracy and integrity of the payroll system information (Audits on monthly basis)
    • Provides guidance on handling off escalations and other payroll related queries from sub ordinates and clients
    • Assistance with system related functions which sub ordinates may not have access (Roll back input etc)
    • Managing of staff output and productivity

    Qualifications:

    • Matric with Exemption or tertiary education
    • Preferably a Payroll Administration or finance qualification
    • VIP short courses or other courses related in line to support role

    Experience

    • Function related experience: <3-5> years
    • Leading teams: <1 – 2> years
    • Computer literacy (MS Office) advanced Word, proficient Power Point and Excel knowledge
    • Technical ability
    • VIP and Tax law and compliance, COIDA
    • Accurate and confidential
    • Good supervision and communicate at Snr Level

    Qualified Corrugated Operator

    Job Description

    • The Corrugated Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining corrugated equipment to produce highquality packaging products.
    • The ideal candidate must have experience in operating corrugated machinery and possess strong mechanical aptitude.

    We require skilled operators with solid experience in 3ply board manufacturing, including:

    • Bottom liner
    • Fluting
    • Top liner
    • Single Facer Operation expertise

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Set up and operate corrugated machinery such as flexo folder gluers, die cutters, and laminators to produce corrugated packaging products.
    • Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and conduct regular maintenance checks to prevent downtime.
    • Monitor production output and make adjustments to machine settings as needed to meet production goals.
    • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production to minimize downtime.
    • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Maintain accurate production records and report any issues or concerns to the Production Manager.
    • Assist with training and mentoring new operators as needed.
    • Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, quality control, and shipping to ensure seamless production processes.
    • Stay current on industry trends and technology advancements in corrugated packaging production.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Corrugated Operator in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong technical understanding of corrugator setup, machine operation, and quality control
    • Ability to work efficiently, maintain high production standards, and troubleshoot machine issues
    • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
    • Understanding the different flute profiles (B,C and E) ,moisture codes and understanding of paper grams.
    • Pressure roller and starch glue unit settings.
    • Able to monitor temperature, steam pressure, wrap arm control, paper tension.
    • Basic mechanical trouble shooting skills.
    • Coordinate with wet end and dry end crew.

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a qualified OIHS (Occupational Injury and Health Services) Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for conducting on-site evaluations and assessments of workplace environments to identify potential hazards and risks.
    • The technician will also assist in developing safety protocols and procedures to mitigate these risks and ensure employee health and safety for assisting the SHE Coordinator with planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work.
    • Their main duty is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries. Hence, the main goal will be to ensure safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents on job and off job.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with the implementation of company’s core values, rules and regulations.
    • Assist with relevant safety training to employees and contractors
    • Advise and assist employees on various safety-related topics
    • Check and verify that all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations
    • Review and update existing safety programs, standards and procedures
    • Assist that all necessary Standard Operating procedures (SOPs)/work instructions are in place.
    • Assist with new employee on-boarding process for safety
    • Work with integrated health services to ensure timely medical examinations are conducted and follow up where applicable.

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience
    • Safety Experience and Knowledge
    • SAMTRAC-NOSA course
    • Minimum of Grade12/Matric
    • Valid Driver’s license
    • Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Computer aptitude including use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principle such as 5S and Continuous Improvement will be an advantage.
