    HPH Admissions Clerk

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Admissions clerk is responsible for welcoming and admitting patients to the hospital as well as dealing with general queries.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    •  Responsible for the admissions of casualty at Trauma and in patients at the main reception.  To ensure that all documents for admissions are received, copied and scanned (Doctors note, ID , Medical Aid Card)  To obtain and confirm authorisations with medical aids for the patients.  Ensure that the ICD codes are entered on the patients profile on the system  Ensure that the admission forms are on a daily basis for accuracy.  To print patient labels and admission forms for the wards on a daily basis.  To discharge patients on a daily basis.  Responsible for payments (deposits/general ) are collected and posted correctly.  To assist patients with the completion of forms requesting the hospital files and the receipt of payment thereof.  Ensure that all pre-admissions are done timeously.

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Inherent Requirements:  Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification  Previous admin experience in a medical environment, advantageous  Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations  Excellent communication skills  Computer Literacy  Flexible in working hours/Shifts  Candidates with disabilities will be given preference

    Unit Manager - NICU

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinatingcapacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his / herunit. The Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring thatQuality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within amulti-disciplinary  team​

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Ensure that your unit is providing safe, cost effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed / hospital and evidence-based practice​
    • Evaluate the patient’s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution​
    • Evaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes​
    • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care​
    • Promote health and wellbeing of patients and employees​
    • Ensure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to​
    • Implement group quality initiatives​
    • Liaise with public liability with regard to all incidents of potential risk to the business​

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse​
    • NICU trained​
    • Compliance with the SANC code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations​
    • A minimum of 5 years experience in NICU​
    • Computer Literacy will be an advantage​

    RPH-Case Manager

    Main Focus Areas

    • The Case Manager utilising clinical knowledge and expertise, mitigates financial risk through comprehensive and accurate coding of hospital events, communication with funders on justification for hospitalisation level of care and length of stay.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    • Responsible for application of clinical knowledge in justifying patient hospitalization in terms of treatment, length of stay and level of care.
    • Monitor and action risk related to medical aid benefits and hospitalization.
    • Ensure accurate, specific and comprehensive clinical coding
    • Timeous, effective communication and follow up with medical aids.
    • Review authorization aspects approved, mitigating financial risk and final releasing the case for billing.
    • Liaise with a network of internal and external stakeholders regarding patient treatment.
    • Adhere to the NHN Managed Health Care rules of engagement.
    • Compliance with all industry relevant legislative acts, regulations and circulars

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • B Degree/Diploma Nursing qualification and/or Case Management qualification
    • Diverse clinical nursing experience
    • Minimum 5 years Case Management experience
    • ICD-10 / CPT Coding Qualification or Experience
    • SAP IS-H experience advantageous
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

    HPH Ward Administrator - General ICU & Surgical Ward

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial work in the ward and responsible for receiving all new patients, visitors, and doctor’s in the ward as well as to make them feel welcome. The incumbent will further be required to assist the ward staff and the Unit Manager.

    Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)

    •  Practice patient care according to Lenmed Standard operating Procedures (SOP’s) and assume responsibility and accountability for these activities under direct supervision of your senior  Carry out all unit related duties as assigned by Supervisors  Promote and maintain good public relations with all stakeholders  Attend handover sessions and unit meetings  Refer any queries to the supervisor / shift leader  Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS Act)  Report Faulty equipment  Measure and evaluate stock activity levels for stock and re-ordering purposes  Maintain stock at agreed value targets  Check expiry dates regularly and ensure the timeous return  Implement and control systems for stock control

    Ward Administrator – Maternity Ward

    Main Focus Areas

    • The incumbent will be responsible for the co-ordination of all secretarial work in the ward and responsible for receiving all new patients, visitors, and doctors in the ward as well as to make them feel welcome. The incumbent will further be required to assist the  Unit staff and the Unit Manager.

    • Place the required stickers in the bulletin book
    • Ensure suitable arrangements are made with the ward that patient is being transferred to or from
    • Discharges may only occur once the Doctor has given his consent in writing
    • Assist with staff shift planning in the ward if required
    • Complete and update “Monthly Register” for learners
    • Ensure all billing is up to date

    Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 Qualification
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a secretarial position/Hospital experience
    • Computer Literacy
