    Plant Manager

    Description

    • The purpose of this position to plan, direct and manage all operational activities within the Minopex area of responsibility to ensure adherence to contractual requirements, provide value-add to the client and continuously improve the service delivery according to organisational objectives

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage the implementation and adherence to ISO and other quality related systems.
    • Interpret site objectives and needs across the business value chain to ensure the adherence to organizational objectives.
    • Direct the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to organisational standards, and legislative requirements.
    • Ensure the appointment of at competent persons according to legislation and monitor adherence to legislative requirements.
    • Ensure the implementation of the maintenance plan/program.
    • Monitor maintenance efficiencies according to the organisational goals to direct or re-direct to ensure the attainment of organisational objectives.
    • Ensure the maintenance of Process Standard, Procedures and COP’s.Evaluation of tenders / supplier quotes
    • Contract Administration (capture, filing, monitor, manage, goals / services receipt).

    Qualification Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering / Degree
    • Relevant business Management qualification will be an advantage.

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a Mineral Processing or Engineering environment at Plant Management level especially PGM Processing 
    • Computer literate in MS Office.
    • English Language Proficiency.
    • Knowledge of Legal Compliance.
    • Knowledge of Technical Risk Management.
    • Maintenance Management Knowledge.
    • Project Management knowledge.
    • Presentation and Speaking skills.
    • Employee Relation and People Management skills.

    Process Operator

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to be responsible to assist in the smooth running of the respective plant sections whilst maintaining the specified client targets and adhering to health and safety standards.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Continuously monitor plant equipment and report to the Control / Process Section Supervisor
    • Ensure adherence to the specified process parameters within the respective sections
    • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping
    • Support the achievement of production performance levels
    • Perform basic maintenance activities by assisting the process section supervisor and maintenance staff

    Qualification Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED qualifications such as the N3 Certificate,
    • A National Certificate in Mineral Processing Level 2 will be an advantage

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience as a Process Attendant
    • English language proficiency
    • Time management skills

    Engineering Supervisor - Mechanical

    Description

    • The purpose of this position is to ensure that Mechanical Maintenance and services are provided in line with organisational and client requirements.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Investigate, diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements and order spares according to Company procedures
    • Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations and analyse breakdowns of previous shift
    • Supervise subordinates in their daily activities to ensure that maintenance is done according to organisational standards and requirements including best engineering practices
    • Co-ordinate and monitor equipment availability to ensure adherence to production parameters
    • Continuously analyse equipment efficiencies to recommend or implement improvements and changes to maximise operations
    • Communicate equipment information and changes to relevant stakeholders to minimise production delays
    • Ensure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion
    • Attend to breakdowns immediately to minimize down time in working hours and after hours including week-ends.
    • Determine work schedules in conjunction with other Engineering / Process teams to ensure availability and optimise utilisation of equipment to the relevant sections and consult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect production
    • Support the achievement of production and maintenance performance levels
    • Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability, budget compliance and spares availability
    • Planning and coordination of shutdowns
    • Liaise with equipment / spares suppliers
    • Managing overtime including compliance to fatigue legislation.

    Qualification Requirements 

    • Matric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED courses (e.g., N3 Certificate)
    • Valid Driver’s Licence for the specific equipment (e.g. Code 08) with own Transport
    • Qualified Section 13 or 26D Artisan Trade Certificate as Fitter or Boilermaker

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance with at least 3-4 years’ supervisory experience is required
    • Engineering Supervisory Certificate will be an advantage
    • Experience on a concentrator plant
    • Maintenance of Crushers, Sag and Ball Mills will be advantageous
    • English language proficiency

    • Valid driver’s licence code B, EB or C1
    • Own transport to attend to call outs

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Mechanical maintenance with at least 3 - 4 years’ supervisory experience
    • Experience on hydraulic system operation and maintenance
    • Experience on stackers and reclaimer operation and maintenance
    • Experience on conveyor belt installation maintenance and operation
