Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Effective planning, leading, organising and control of the grouting operations under his/her control to achieve daily production and safety targets
• Effective supervision of the underground team in line with standards, procedures and safety protocols
• Conduct and participate in morning meetings and complete the relevant checklists, risk / safety documents as required
• Verify ranges and hoses are in order before pumping operations start
• Safely assist in grout pumping operations to standards, procedures and safety protocols
• Conduct over inspection of pumping operations to ensure packs are installed and pumped to standard
• Effective and timeous communication to relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth workflows pertaining to grout production and plant operations
• Conduct legal inspections timeously
• Self and team understand and comply with M&RC’s standards, procedures, polices and safety protocols
• Self and team wear the correct PPE before executing a task
• Effective team supervision in alignment with M&RC’s values

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Numeracy at NQF Level 4
• Grout Plant Operator Technical Skills Certificate or similar
• Blasting Certificate advantageous
• License to Supervise or similar supervisory course
• Intermediate rigging
• Competent A & B 
• MS Office Proficient [Word, Excel] advantageous 
• Good English verbal and written communication skills
• Successfully complete the related MRTA training courses

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Team Leader in a Grout Plant in a mining environment
• Experience in maintenance of MK5 pneumatic and hydraulic pumps required
• Knowledge of Grout Plant operations, equipment and methods

Job description

Key Performance Indicators:

• Invoice processing.
• Payment processing.
• Creditor payment forecast.
• Reconciliation processing.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Receive all invoices and statements from site, phone and follow up on any outstanding invoices and statements.
• Ensure approved invoices, orders, delivery notes and printed GRN’s are received from site timeously.
• Process invoices and perform three way matching on JDE.
• File all supplier invoices timeously on JDE.
• Ensure invoices and credit notes are processes timeously.
• Prepare monthly supplier reconciliations from supplier ledger to supplier statement to payment.
• Present supplier reconciliations to Finance Manager/Accountant for review and approval.
• Once reconciliation is approved, prepare payment on JDE and submit documentation to cash book clerk for payment.
• Process all payments within deadlines.
• Make a forecast of all creditor payments on a weekly basis and update the Projects and Finance Manager in order to ensure there are sufficient funds available to make the payment.
• Review creditors’ details on the banking system and identify creditors that need to be deleted or need limits changed.
• Follow up on outstanding credit notes, invoices and statements.
• Resolve any supplier queries within one week.
• Escalate any dispute that cannot be resolved with the customer to the Finance Manager/Accountants.
• Keep records of all correspondence with the customer.
• Identify any invoices that where expected to be received by month-end.
• Determine/ consider if these invoices need to be accrued for.
• Discus possible accruals with the Finance Manager/Accountants.
• Keep records of all company information confidential and ensure proper filing of documents using prescribed MRP filing systems.
• Comply with all internal controls, policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements

Experience:

• 2-3 years Creditors Clerk experience, preferably in a construction/ mining industry.
• JDE experience is preferred.

Qualification:

• Matric (Grade 12).
• A Diploma/ Degree in Financial Accounting or Business Management.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

• Size PV strings, tables, arrays, inverters, chargers, fuses and combiner boxes and battery energy storage systems.
• Develop PV layouts for rooftop and ground mount installations.
• Size solar cables and other integration cables.
• Size earth cables and design earth grids.
• Draft methodologies and method statements.
• Apply applicable international and national standards to designs and procedures.
• Conduct simulations using tools such as PVsyst, PVsol, Homer and other design software for PV systems.
• Calculate fault levels and protection design.
• Simulate power flows and voltage drops using Software such as Etap, Easy Power.
• Design trenches and cable tray layouts.
• Develop Single Line Diagrams and schematics.
• Provide engineering & design guidance and input throughout the project lifecycle, from inception, through feasibility into construction and commissioning.
• Develop engineering design reports.
• Compile BoQ’s and prepare tender documents and project specifications.
• Adjudicate tenders and recommend preferred suppliers.
• Observe health and safety legislation and regulations as applied to design, construction and SANS compliance requirements.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams and interface with other engineering and functional disciplines.
• Engage, build relationships and earn the trust of key industry stakeholders through a display of personal integrity and professionalism.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems in order to improve efficiencies and contribute to potential higher margins being achieved on projects.
• Keep up to date with new products and innovations in the solar PV industry.

Minimum requirements

Suitable candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

• National Diploma/BTech/BEng/BSc in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• Registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a candidate

Work experience:

• 2 years’ experience working in the renewable energies, process, and utilities industries, including project experience
• 2 years’ experience with commissioning of renewable energy projects
• Sound knowledge of Health and Safety, compliance and inspections to authorize COC’s, as well as ensuring work at height permits and other requirements are met
• A natural, self-motivated and astute ability to self-manage and take responsibility for the company’s technical performance is essential
• Understanding of Solar PV systems
• Power simulation software skills
• Solid knowledge of Solar PV design and implementation
• Experienced in running projects and teams from inception to completion
