• Can explain different types of lenses for example multifocal designs, stronger materials for rimless frames and discuss the benefits of anti-reflection coatings and quote patients accordingly
• Has an excellent optical knowledge of spectacle lenses for example when to use high index and if a lens will cut out on a script as stock and knowing when to do stock versus surfaced. Understanding aspheric versus spherical.
• Can do frame selection and factor in the spectacle prescription into the choice
• Confident and good at sales
• Can do lens fitting of full, Nylon and rimless frames
• Accurately check prescriptions on a digital vertometer in a timely fashion including multifocals 
• Can take eye point measurements and operate a Visureal ( HOYA measuring tool, can offer training)
• Order on ILog ( HOYA system )
