    Financial Manager/Office Manager

    • As Finance and Office Manager you will be entrusted with broad responsibilities spanning financial oversight, office administration, HR support, IT coordination, property management, insurance handling, banking relations, compliance submissions, project leadership and continuous improvement initiatives. Your day-to-day will involve supervising a skilled finance team while ensuring all accounting records are meticulously maintained. You will facilitate payroll processes from start to finish—including bonuses and commissions—while also assisting with HR matters as needed. Statutory compliance will be under your remit: preparing submissions for VAT/PAYE/COID/CIPC returns alongside coordinating audits. You’ll prepare board packs for executive meetings and offer operational support to directors on various projects. Technology management forms another key aspect: overseeing outsourced IT providers as well as Microsoft 365 administration. Property maintenance falls within your scope—liaising with landlords or contractors—and you’ll handle insurance portfolios plus banking queries. Your role is integral to driving efficiency through automation or process improvements while supporting strategic projects assigned by directors.
    • Take overall responsibility for the financial management of the group and its related entities by overseeing monthly processing on accounts for all entities.
    • Supervise debtors, creditors, banking activities, asset management, journals, reconciliations, and general accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Review monthly reports in preparation for management accounts and assist with annual financial statements as well as year-end audit requirements.
    • Manage and support the finance and administration team by allocating work, monitoring progress, ensuring deadlines are met, reviewing completed tasks for accuracy, and providing ongoing guidance.
    • Oversee the monthly payroll process including salary increases, bonuses, commissions, leave management, employee loans, payroll reconciliations, and company asset administration.
    • Ensure all statutory submissions such as VAT, PAYE, EMP201/501, IRP5, Provisional Tax, COID, CIPC Annual Returns are completed accurately and on time; coordinate audits and liaise with auditors or tax practitioners.
    • Prepare board packs, financial reports, supporting schedules; provide operational support to directors including ad hoc projects and personal administrative matters when required.
    • Coordinate outsourced IT providers and technology projects; oversee Microsoft 365 administration; assist with system implementations; support staff with IT-related queries; manage procurement of equipment.
    • Oversee maintenance and repairs of offices/rental properties; liaise with landlords/managing agents/contractors/service providers; coordinate lease renewals; manage office suppliers/service providers/general office requirements.
    • Manage insurance portfolio including claims/policy updates/broker liaison; maintain relationships with bankers; review supplier quotations; coordinate administrative functions to support daily business operations.

    Senior Billing Analyst

    • A leading South African group specialising in technology, connectivity, telecommunications and business infrastructure solutions is looking for a Senior Billing Analyst to oversee the billing function across the group. The role will focus on ensuring accurate and timely billing, resolving complex queries, performing reconciliations, and providing support and guidance to the billing team.

    What you'll do

    • Oversee the end-to-end billing function across multiple business units, ensuring accurate and timely monthly processing.
    • Manage pricing, VAT, discounts, invoice corrections, credits, refunds, debit orders, cancellations and collections.
    • Investigate and resolve billing queries and discrepancies with customers, suppliers, ISPs and internal teams.
    • Perform reconciliations between supplier, customer and internal billing records and identify potential revenue leakage.
    • Monitor recurring billing cycles and investigate unusual movements or variances.
    • Prepare billing analysis, exception reports, commissions calculations and management reports.
    • Ensure monthly pricing updates and commission calculations are completed accurately and on time.
    • Maintain customer records, billing documentation and project-related administration.
    • Act as an escalation point for sales teams and ISPs on billing and contract-related matters, including special pricing.
    • Participate in relevant ISP and project meetings.
    • Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, controls and efficiencies.

    Requirements:

    • Relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Data Analytics.
    • At least 5 years' experience in billing operations or finance administration, preferably within a high-volume environment.
    • Previous experience supervising, mentoring or guiding a billing or administration team.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS and data analysis.
    • Strong reconciliation and financial analysis skills.
    • Experience identifying discrepancies, investigating variances and assessing financial impact.
    • Power Query experience would be advantageous.
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage strict monthly deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
