    Executive Secretary- Pharmacy & Red Star

    Purpose of the Job    

    The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive and high-level administrative support to the General Manager of Pharmacy and Red Star while leveraging strong analytical skills to assist in decision-making processes. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the office, handling data analysis, and facilitating efficient communication, thereby enhancing the General Manager’s ability to make informed, data-driven decisions and manage the responsibilities effectively. 

    Job Objectives    

    • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the General Manager,
    • including managing schedules, appointments, and travel arrangements.
    • Data Analysis: Utilize analytical skills to gather, interpret, and present data, providing valuable insights and reports to assist the General Manager in decision-making.

    • Familiarity with corporate travel arrangements (highly beneficial). 

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Meticulous and accurate in administrative tasks, data analysis, and document preparation. 
    • Effective time management to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines. 
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

    Inbound Supervisor - Transpharm KZN

    Purpose of the Job    

    Manage and maintain all inbound processes including stock, receiving, reverse logistics and CRMs within company agreed service levels and SOPs.

    Key Performance Areas: 

    • Receiving

    • Customer Returns
    • Stock Management. 

    Job Objectives    

    • Ensure all supplier orders are GRV’d and applicable claims within 48 hours of physical receipt
    • Ensure all claims are resolved within 3 months of it being logged.
    • Ensure all CRMs are investigated and closed within 2 weeks of a query been logged. 
    • Ensure all stocks GRV’d are released within 48 hours with all zero on hand items prioritized to minimise lost sales.
    • Ensure cycle counts are conducted as per plan. 
    • Ensure stock discrepancies are investigated and resolved within 72 hours.
    • Preparation of stock take. 
    • Ensure all staff are managed within company policies and procedures.

    Qualifications    

    Essential

    • Grade 12
    • Pharmacist Assistant Post Basic Qualification (Optional)

    Experience    

    • 3-5 years experience working in a warehouse environment or similar role.

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines  
    • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools 
    • Excellent communication skills– fluent in English and at least one other official language 
    • Meticulous attention to detail

    Money Market Operations Manager - Brackenfell

    Purpose of the Job    

    The purpose of the Money Market Operations Manager role is to actively grow Shoprite’s Money Market Account share nationally within RSA. The role does so by taking accountability for the enabling aspects of the model including the end to-end management of operations for the Money Market Account which has an impact on the In-Store, Business Support, Call Centre, participant, or other stakeholder experience and/or function. The role set-up and maintains the appropriate level of oversight in line with targets, KPI’s, Group Policies and Procedures, Banking and Regulatory requirements, including the appropriate risk mitigations. The role supports the facilitation of cross functional teams, aligns activities to strategic objectives and provides subject matter expertise pertaining operational process. The MMA Operations Manager is a driven and organised individual, with a passion for providing support, ‘sweating the small stuff’ and making things work well.

    Job Objectives    

    • Actively manage the national MMA operations portfolio, ensuring business value, sustained community relationships and achievement of sales and services targets. 
    • Provide input into the development of the business area tactical strategy in achievement of the overall business strategy
    • Develop and implement an operational plan in achievement of business objectives.
    • Ensure business process efficiency and improvement management by identifying and directing the analysis of existing processes to       identify gaps and opportunities for improvement to mitigate operational risk and ensure all processes are documented and updated regularly.
    • Implement, monitor, and control business processes according to quality standards; policy; and compliance and

    • Research, enable and consult on improvements and opportunities to harness technology and platform enablement. Review existing processes and suggest innovative ideas to improve and streamline processes to drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy.
    • Monitor customer feedback reports and align processes to maximise efficiencies. 
    • Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in area of accountability. Identify system issues and liaise with Technology /Product teams to remedy, identify opportunities for system enhancement and implement proposed changes. 
    • Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialisation and identify risks. Network and participate in specialist risk forums where required. 
    • Provide input into the budget and manage and report on budget usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters, and cost reduction initiatives and related metrics. 
    • Identify and utilise opportunities within the product operational fulfilment processes and engagements for revenue growth to deliver on sales targets. 
    • Ensure that teams in operations maintains a full understanding of both the internal and external customer needs to deliver a quality service. 
    • Ensure customer service solutions are aligned to the business operational plan and organizational values and service standards. Communicate how customer service solution will be implemented and secure buy-in from all teams and ensure timeous resolution of customer queries and complaints within the required time frame.
    • Ensure product knowledge and advice is technically accurate and ensure that all staff in within your team and those you oversee provide customers and vendors with relevant information to keep them informed of products and service options. 
    • Build relationships that allow for the managing of expectations; the sharing of knowledge and diverse insights; and the creation of buy-in by engaging in cross-functional relationships to obtain and to provide work support. 
    • Identify development needs and select effective solutions to address own and employee development needs 
    • Ensure that each employee prepares a personal development plan that is implemented and reviewed as required

    Qualifications    

    • Relevant degree or diploma in bachelor’s degree in finance or business Management and Administration or similar

    Experience    

    • 5 years plus experience in a senior capacity within an operational environment or equivalent with exposure to providing operational support throughout a national distributed network, in a Operational Financial Services, Retail, and/or Banking sector

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Good understanding of Operational Risk (AML/TF, FAIS, GCOC, Market Conduct and Code of Banking Practise) 
    • RE5 or RE1 – Banking or Insurance

    Brand Manager: Financial Services - Brackenfell

    Purpose of the Job    

    The Brand Manager will play a critical role in the development and implementation of the company's marketing strategy and will be responsible for managing and executing marketing campaigns to support the expansion and growth of the company's products and services. The role will collaborate with the Marketing Manager to design, develop, and execute effective marketing campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.     Risk Engineer - Brackenfell

    Purpose of the Job    

    The purpose of the Risk Engineer role is to provide operational support on risk engineering related initiatives and projects with the aim of managing loss control, mitigating risk, improving safety and reducing claims. The Risk Engineer will coordinate, process, analyse and execute activities related to business risk exposures across the Group, with a specific focus on compliance to regulations and risk mitigation, including fire prevention, fire detection and fire protection. The role will work closely with the Risk Engineering Manager while collaborating with stakeholders across the Group, to assess risks and trends and determine compliance standards

    Job Objectives    

    • Support in the analysis and assessment of risks and trends across the Group and identify suitable methodologies, processes or practices to mitigate any potential risks.  
    • Determine compliance requirements and implement monitoring processes.  
    • Prepare and document project proposals, standard operating procedures, policies and budgets.  
    • Perform risk assessments by conducting comprehensive site visits.  
    • Execute administrative functions including data capturing, processing and verification of designs, reports and other deliverables. 
    • Liaise with various stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope and objectives of projects and deliverables.
    • Coordinate and correspond with internal and external stakeholders on any queries, project requirements or feedback.
    • Document and communicate related information to stakeholders including status reporting, meeting minutes and project documentation. 
    • Provide project management support on related risk initiatives, ensuring ownership and delivery on priorities.

    • Research and keep up to date with regulatory requirements and best practices to support the development and continuous improvement of projects and initiatives. 

    Qualifications    

    • Degree in Engineering, Risk Management or a related technical field – (preferred).  

    Experience    

    • Understanding of and exposure to project management methodologies and practices - (desirable). 
    • Experience in a retail, FMCG or engineering environment – (desirable).  
    • +2 years in a Risk Engineer capacity or similar role, assessing risk, monitoring compliance and executing projects to manage loss control and mitigate risk in a regulatory, building control, health and safety or risk management environment – (desirable). 

    Knowledge and Skills    

    • Proficiency in MS Office with an intermediate skill level in Excel, Word and PPT – (essential).
