    Forklift Driver

    Job Purpose

    • To ensure effective operational excellence is achieved through the efficient and accurate loading and offloading of production lines and trucks in operations.

    Key Accountabilities and Outputs

    • Efficient Forklift Operation
    • Perform start up inspection and register for forklift operation
    • Feed production with preforms or empty cans
    • Feed lines with layer pads
    • Feed lines with empty pallets
    • Take out finished product from the Production Lines and place into the relevant warehouse sections
    • Abide by health and safety requirements of the company and ensure that actions do not endanger fellow colleagues, equipment or property
    • Abide by quality measures in place within the company
    • Adherence to the health, safety, food and environmental standards
    • Staff shall adhere to all Food Safety Policies and PRP’s and shall adhere to and enforce all food safety requirements at all times
    • Staff shall adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and PRP’s and shall adhere to and enforce all Health and Safety requirements at all times
    • Visitor and Contractor Policy – staff shall ensure that visitors or contractors entering the facility are signed in, escorted and wear PPE, are aware of the hygiene policies and do not smoke, eat or drink inside the facility
    • Code of Practice – staff shall maintain high levels of personal hygiene in accordance with the code of conduct
    • Handwashing Procedure – Ensuring staff are cleaning and sanitizing hands efficiently before handling the product.
    • Physical Contamination Control Policy and Procedure – Staff shall be aware of the potential of physical product contamination. Staff is aware of control measures to prevent physical contamination.
    • Safety, Health and Environment Policy – Staff take reasonable measures to ensure health and safety hazards do not occur. Should an accident occur, staff shall be aware of the procedure of reporting the incident.
    • First Aid Policy – Staff are aware of the first aider on site. Staff is trained to report injuries and illness to supervisors/first aiders.
    • Conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes and procedures

    • Enforce compliance with relevant legislative and statutory requirements
    • Enforce GMP’s and conduct themselves in a manner conducive with food safety practices
    • Attend Training and enforce learnings from the training for Quality, Food Safety and Health & Safety that been prescribed for them

    Market Development Representative (Empangeni)

    Job Purpose

    • Based in a defined geography the primary purpose is to directly develop spaza’s, mini-supermarkets and tuckshops on behalf of BevCo – must have intimate knowledge of the geography the informal retail dynamics and outlets matched to BevCo’s strategic growth objectives for the area.

    Key Accountabilities and Outputs
    Customer Management Objectives

    • To be actively engage and open relationships with outlets on behalf of BevCo (against set call rate and conversion targets) = actively ‘seed’ BevCo’s portfolio into a defined area and large channel of informal retailers
    • To build and retain an active base of informal retail clients and to constantly service that base weekly/monthly
    • To facilitate informal retailers to direct BevCo purchases from the local wholesalers, bulk breakers, and/or distributor
    • To ensure company assets (refrigeration; signage) are managed per BevCo governance requirements

    Sales and Trade Marketing Objectives

    • To actively support the sales and distribution targets into informal retail (pull) from local wholesalers, bulk breakers, distributors for the area
    • To assist in execution of the marketing plan for the area as required (incl activations, promotions, fridges, POSM)
    • To ensure BevCo merchandising and pricing compliance standards are sustained 

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4
    • Up to 2 years’ experience (Operational Execution) FMCG, experience in sales

    Procurement Assistant Packaging and Raws

    Job Summary:

    • The Procurement Assistant for Packaging Materials is responsible for supporting the direct procurement process and involves assisting with the sourcing of suppliers, obtaining price quotations, supporting the purchase to pay process, maintaining the masterdata records and conducting various analyses on the purchasing activity within the organization. The role works closely with the cross functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods used in the manufacture of a range of products.
    • Packaging Materials procured include but are not limited to: PET, Cans, Shrink Wrap, Pallet Wrap and Corrugates.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supplier Sourcing and Relationship Management: Assist in identifying potential suppliers, conducting market research, requesting samples and obtaining price quotations from suppliers. Collaborate with the procurement manager to evaluate supplier capabilities and develop a preferred supplier base, ensuring the preferential procurement strategy is executed. Participate in supplier business reviews evaluating supplier performance and assist with quality complaints resolution. Support in driving SLA and contract implementation and compliance with suppliers.
    • Materials Management: Support the management of purchasing transactions with the end users at the respective plants. Lead the execution of a robust materials management program, to enable working capital reduction and improved cash flow.
    • Purchase to Pay compliance: Maintain master data and support new vendor set up. Support the various end users in resolving pricing queries, delivery, or invoicing issues. Drive the adherence to the P2P process, by formalizing a user dashboard with finance and providing insight to management on compliance failures.
    • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance to procurement policies, procedures, and regulations. Participate in quality assurance activities, such as supplier evaluations and audits, to ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Assist in analysing procurement data and generating reports related to purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost savings. Provide insights and recommendations to improve procurement processes and cost efficiency. Collect market intelligence and share market trend analysis for top materials/commodities/services. Produce reports related to suppliers (scorecards, quality performance of raw materials
    • (NCRs), supply chain failures, price variances etc. Compile monthly cost and performance update reports and presentations.
    • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of procurement processes by identifying areas for optimization, proposing solutions, and implementing approved changes.

    Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

    • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position
    • Procurement/Buying experience in FMCG is essential
    • Negotiation experience is preferred
    • Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
    • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
    • Enterprise system skills (SAP S/4HANA) preferred, or demonstrated systems capabilities
    • Strong financial and commercial acumen
    • Time management skillsValid driver’s license.

    • The Project Engineer is responsible for technical design of techncial solutions, and planning, executing, and delivering projects for such solutions where approved, on time and within budget.
