Requirements: Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 OR equivalent N4
• Trade certificate
• A relevant N6 Electrical Qualification will be an added advantage.
• Computer literacy: MS Office
• Ability to communicate in two or more of the local official languages
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience
• A valid driver’s license (Code EB or C1)

Job Purpose:

• Coordinates and controls the key performance areas and specific outcomes associated with the Infrastructure and Engineering, (Electrical) Section through set-up, work in progress and completion of specialized Electrical tasks activities associated with medium/ low voltage electrical installation, maintenance and repair for maintenance of municipal buildings and electrical inspections of housing projects, including monitoring and correcting support personnel productivity and performance and, attending to routine/ general administrative recording requirements contributing to the accomplishment of departmental objectives.

• Auto mechanical experience will serve as an added advantage.
• Code EC Driver’s License

Job Purpose:

• Coordinates and controls the set-up, work in progress and completion of specialized tasks activities associated with the mechanical maintenance and repair of plant, equipment and machinery, including, monitoring and correcting the productivity and performance outputs of support personnel and, attending to routine/ general administrative recording requirements contributing to the accomplishment of departmental objectives.
