Duties and Responsibilities

• Optimising the Broker’s function within the rules and regulations prescribed by the JSE
• Minimising losses that were realised through administrative and trade transactions.
• Introduce marketing materials and products to assist clients in the execution of their marketing strategies
• Assist clients with expert advice on an ongoing basis
• Update market related information in given timeframe on a daily basis
• Provide an inclusive market review to producer groups on an ongoing basis
• Stay abreast of new and relevant JSE Hedging procedures, standards and practices that are available

Job Description

• Supervising and servicing the VKB Fuels branch in Senekal. The Fuels Supervisor oversees the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of fuel storage, distribution, and dispensing systems. This position ensures compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations, supervises fueling personnel, manages inventory and quality control, and ensures reliable and efficient fuel delivery to meet operational needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory role will serve as recommendation
• 3 - 5 years experience in the fuel industry
• Grade 12/ NQF 4
• Proficient in the MS Office package

Duties and Responsibilities 

• Assist in overseeing cash in branch, cash-ups float and merchant machines
• Stock management including stock takes to be actions, expiry dates to be checked etc.
• Housekeeping on premises (bathrooms, offices, forecourt, cashier points and deli)
• Daily checklists to be completed and submitted to manager and reporting of deviations
• Ensure all employees comply with save working procedures.
• Ensure consumables are ordered and replenished as necessary (stationary, toilet paper, window washers etc.)
• Receiving of stock and ensure quantities is correct.

What you’ll be doing:

• Participate in stock management, including receiving, merchandising, stock level monitoring, ordering, claims, and stock taking.
• Provide input in personnel supervision, including shift planning, coaching, and assisting with staff development.
• Maintain high standards of customer service, addressing queries and resolving complaints timeously.
• Assist in ensuring the branch complies with legislative and safety requirements.
• Contribute towards marketing and promotions to drive sales growth and branch visibility.
• Step in to act on behalf of the Branch Manager when required.
