    Quality Coordinator

    • The Site Quality Co-Ordinator is responsible for implementing, maintain and audit Quality Management policies and practices in Distribution Centre, and in the associated value chain. Monitor and evaluate market returns and perform root cause analysis, to ensure continuous improvement collaborate with Technical & Production in all quality related functions including traceability and product withdrawals.

    A day in the life of a Site Quality Co-Ordinator:

    • Assume full responsibility as Management Representative of Quality for the Distribution Centre and ensure effective execution of all duties as per the appointment in site document.
    • Implement ISO9001:2025 Quality Management System (QMS) principles in the Distribution Centre and all 3rd party Distribution Agents as well as drawing up and implementing Quality Monitoring Scheme in the Distribution Centre and all 3rd party Distribution Agents. Implement and maintain Nestle Good Manufacturing Practice Visual Standards
    • Implement Integrated Pest Management in Distribution Centre and related Distributors, in conjunction with Service Provider
    • Design and implement an integrated Audit Programme for all aspects of the Distribution Centers various Processes such as salvage sales, donations, redistribution and animal feed. It includes audits of distribution agents and outside storage facilities and assist with Retail Quality Audits as per GI 31.321, and Retail Sampling Audits. Perform Distributor Audits at least once per year
    • Evaluate and report on trial shipments for all products received by the DC and conduct downstream traceability exercises as per internal SOPs or WI’s. Participate in Mock Recall Exercises, and any Recalls/Withdrawals initiated by the company and provide samples requested by factories. Collaborate with T&P in the management of non conformities and ensure the timely resolution of such non conformities.
    •  Management of ageing stock and Bad Goods ex DC Operations in conjunction with other process owners in the Distribution Centre including the management of blocked /restricted stock daily and follow up with factories and other stakeholders on release of products. Investigate all product damages in Distribution Centre and advise accordingly. Manage the disposal of non conforming goods as per TL-31.716-2 which includes the correct disposal of Infant Formula.
    • Submit monthly report on all QA related activities KPIs Ensure knowledge transfer of Nestlé’s QA processes to all stakeholders.
    • Implement and maintain cleaning program with service provider.
    •  Collaborate with T&P in the management of non-conformities and ensure the timely resolution of such non-conformities.

    What will make you successful?                     

    • Degree/Diploma in Quality / Food Safety Management / Chemistry/ Microbiology and related
    • Minimum 3 years’ comprehensive work experience in Factory and/or Distribution Centre, with Quality Assurance experience.

    Deliver back-office support

    Category Account Manager

    Position Summary

    • We’re now looking for a Category Account Manager within our Sales team. The role is responsible for developing and implementing annual key customer plans that are aligned with overall direct imports business and customer strategies, while driving sustainable growth, improving customer penetration and achieving profitable sales objectives.

    A day in the life of a Category Account Manager:

    • Develop and execute a clear Key Account Management strategy covering customer portfolio, product priorities, supply alignment, route to market and sales channels to grow penetration within assigned customers and countries, while improving the overall competitive position of the business.
    • Define customer-specific business objectives, joint business plans and market strategies, and establish clear measures to evaluate performance, identify risks and implement corrective actions.     • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key customers to ensure business alignment, improve customer satisfaction and unlock sustainable growth opportunities.

    Factory Engineer - Mossel Bay

    • In this role you will be responsible to ensure safety, quality, food safety, people management, cost management and asset performance. The scope includes production facilities, utilities, buildings and yard, internal and external stakeholders.

    Management Responsibilities                                              

    GMR 2.1 responsibilities for the site

    • Define, propose and monitor the Maintenance and Improvement (M&I) plans and objectives in accordance with the Engineering Policy, Key Principles and the M&I Activity as outlined in the Nestlé Engineering Excellence (NEE) master document.
    • Propose and implement work processes, procedures and technical resources related to the M&I team. Lead and coordinate the M&I team and maintain competencies, motivation and performance to achieve the M&I teams’ mission and objectives.                                        
    • Propose and control the M&I budget.                                               
    • Propose and monitor M&I in accordance with the key performance indicators.
    • Demonstrate and promote the company's values within the M&I team.
    • Coordinate personnel (e.g. technicians, contractors etc.) to ensure the projects objectives are satisfied.

    • Obtain managements support for M&I and ensure its alignment with the business strategy.
    • Encourage close teamwork between all functions (Engineering, Production, Quality Management etc.).
    • Review systematically all lines, processes and utilities that are critical to the business and those where failure can have an unacceptable impact on safety, environment or compliance with the law.
    • Support and encourage the decentralizing of routine maintenance.                                                          
    • Ensure that Continuous Improvement becomes a key pillar of the M&I culture.
    • Implement Consequence Driven Maintenance (CDM) as the multi-discipline, team-based approach to proactively maintain/improve the reliability and performance of the company's assets and Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM) as the process to manage the lifecycle of the fixed assets.
    • Adopt the Maintenance Excellence vision by striving for the M&I "Proactive Domain".
    • Specific responsibilities relating to the Project conceptual study phase (feasibility & approval of TMC’s and small purchases)                                    
    • Ensure that all projects are designed for the long term and result in a positive impact on the company ROIC.
    • Thoroughly challenge the supporting documentation even if it is provided by other functions.
    • Prepare the project for approval in accordance with the Guidelines for Capital Investment.

    Responsibilities relating to Consequence Driven Maintenance                                             

    • Establish and manage the yearly, monthly, weekly maintenance plans to ensure essential maintenance is completed within a reasonable time.                                         
    • Monitor plant/equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned/unplanned downtime.                                                 
    • Optimize Predictive Maintenance technologies (Condition Monitoring and inspections) to minimize unplanned downtime.                                           
    • Utilize Planned Downtime for Scheduled and Condition-Based Maintenance with Work Orders.
    • Develop and implement improvements to minimize downtime for line change and cleaning.
    • Liaise with Production, Quality Management daily to resolve technical and/or operational issues. (Stoppage Analysis from Downtime Reporting System).
    • Establish with Production, shutdown and start-up work programs to minimize the risks to the product, people and production losses.                                                          

    Responsibilities relating to Asset and Maintenance Management

    • Ensure that the operators, mechanics, electricians etc. are effectively trained and that the transfer of the equipment to the client is both smooth and efficient.
    • This includes all the supporting documentation that will be required by the client to operate and maintain the plant. e.g. operating instructions, equipment manuals, plant layouts, maintenance instructions, spare parts listing etc.
    • Manage the allocation of all expenditures to clearly defined assets and the entry into the assets register. Complete the project file and ensure that it is handed over to the client.

    What will make you successful?

    • Degree/Diploma (4 year) in engineering, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering and a GCC for factories.
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Factory Engineer role, preferable in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.

    GRA and Inbound Team Leader

    • The Goods Returned (GRA) & Inbound Team Leader will manage designated teams within the Distribution Centre environment in a culture of accelerated performance ensuring that it excels in compliance and contributing towards the achievement of KPI’s

    A day in the life of a GRA & Inbound Team Leader:

    Control, Maintain and  Ensure Accuracy of Master Data by:

    • Manage full end to end reverse logistics process with internal and external stake holders .
    • Daily monitoring of Aging claims and credit queries in collaboration with Accra and customer service teams.
    • Manage GRA storage bins and ensuring that donations is actioned timeously.
    • Manage near expire stock and ensure aging stock is cleared from system to support working capital objectives.
    • Ensure correct processing of refusals, tracking and analysing reason codes for preventative management and escalation with Customer service teams.
    • Ensuring adherence to credit processing turnaround time with all refusals and returns at GRA.
    • Ensuring efficient utilization of staff and equipment to optimally handle receipt of stock and sorting between 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade stock.
    • Assisting in discontinuation of materials and ensuring efficient use of GRA Capacity.
    • Directing the compilation of the daily Inbound Schedule as per the agreed ”footprint” with D&SP and THUB teams.
    • Ensure adherence to inbound delivery slot to minimize standing and VDE costing.
    • Manage staff development in GRA and Inbound teams.
    • Manage all staff related matters in collaboration with HR teams.
    • Drive team high performance through regular KPI discussions and review
    • Deliver on First time right - KPI for all stock entering receiving at Longmeadow Distribution centre

    Maintain Budget and Control Variances by:

    • Manage temp and overtime cost for both teams.
    • Preparing area of responsibility and participating in monthly stock takes.
    • Ensuring effective application of stock rotation system (F.I.F.O.).
    • Ensuring the implementation and compliance with standard operating procedures and systems and regular review and updates.
    • Compilation of monthly, weekly and daily reports (KPI & Productivity).
    • Management of staff resources, attendance through Kronos, annual leave and absenteeism
    • Updating KPI’s/DOR/WOR/MOR boards and presenting productivity statistics as well as responding to questions related to information on the charts.
    • Ensure compliance by doing internal audits as per schedule             

    Manage Safety and Health  by:

    • As a Ensuring that safety regulations and legislation are adhered to.
    • Investigating  and reporting all accidents and incidents related to GRA and Inbound teams                                                 

    Manage Talent and Succession  Plans by:

    • Ensure Nestle and I results are executed on time and feedback provided to staff.
    • Updating KPI’S/DOR/WOR boards and presenting/responding to questions related to information on the boards.
    • Ensuring that Carrier claims are followed through until payment is made.
    • Preparing area of responsibility and participating in monthly stock takes.
    • Liaising with CCPA and CQA to get authorization for donation request form and communicate with an authorized donation company to collect
    • Ensure compliance by doing internal audits as per schedule             
    • Maintaining discipline and taking corrective action where necessary.
    • Assist LEAN Value Stream Design by embracing and implementing a structured approach towards all the elements of NCE thereby ensuring that a continuous improvement culture is developed and sustained.                                                                                                                                                                                            

    What will make you successful?                     

    • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in the Distribution environment
    • Minimum required qualification is NQF 6/Production Diploma or equivalent.
    • Relevant operational experience at business level in the following areas is beneficial:
    • Formal Knowledge of distribution end to end process
    • Stock control, SHE, Quality
    • SAP proficiency
