    Pharmacist Assistant

    Job Description

    • The successful candidate will be required to to support implementation of pharmacy activities in Anova supported facilities by ensuring that they are compliant with Basic Pharmacy principles, implementation and maintenance of stock visibility solution and alternative distribution models.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide mentorship and support to ensure that adequate levels of stock are always available
    • Ensure compliance with good pharmacy practice
    • Maintenance of stock visibility solution (SVS)
    • Implementation of Repeat Prescription Collections (RPC) in supported facilities
    • Support the retention of accurate and updated records on pharmacy activity & decanting
    • Perform duties of Pharmacist Assistant such as dispensing, drug supply management etc. in line with Scope of Practice
    • Represent Anova in stakeholder meetings and workshops when requested

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Registered as a post basic Pharmacist Assistant with SAPC
    • At least 1 year experience on HIV/AIDS treatment regimen and adherence issues
    • Understanding of ART, TB and general medication
    • Good knowledge of antiretroviral therapy, TB and chronic medication
    • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
    • Be able to work under pressure & independently
    • Proficiency in Ms Office

    Provincial Human Resources Manager

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a Provincial HR Manager, who will provide HR partnership and leadership to the allocated portfolio. The successful candidate will also assist with developing and implementing HR initiatives focused on achieving business objectives and improving the effectiveness of the HR department. They will lead an HR team in the Province and provide human resources expertise in all areas of HR functions and HR projects.
    • The position requires a professional who has strong leadership skills and strategic insight. They must be able to work independently and handle a broad range of HR issues in a fast paced and changing environment.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic HR direction to the leadership in the allocated portfolio.
    • Partner with Managers and provide comprehensive and holistic HR service on all aspects of HR.
    • Ensure effective implementation of all HR processes.
    • Manage the overall level of people risk in the portfolio and ensure compliance to HR policies and labour legislation.
    • Build relationships and network with line managers through effective communication.
    • Manage a team of HR Managers.

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following disciplines: Human Resources, Labour Relations, Organizational Development, and Industrial Psychology.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience as HR Generalist.
    • Minimum 5 years management experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to creatively solve HR related problems.
    • Solid project management experience and competence.

    Clinical Mentor: Adolescent & Youth Program

    Job Description

    • The successful candidate will provide technical assistance, capacity-building and health system strengthening support to initiate or enhance the roll-out of various services within the Anova Adolescents & Youth Programme.  The Clinical Mentor will be roving and serve to provide mentorship and strengthening of clinical health services, as part of a comprehensive package of adolescent & youth friendly services. S/he will be part of a multi-disciplinary team which provide site support for the implementation, improvement, and expansion of such services amongst the broader APACE Programme.


    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Routinely monitor performance (data) & registers of adolescents & youth services at facility level (especially indicators pertaining to HTS, PrEP, ART, STI management and sexual & reproductive health and rights (SRHR); and provide mentorship & technical support where required.
    • Conduct clinic file audits (adolescent & youth) for each supported facility and implement corrective measures together with the health care practitioners involved, where needed.
    • Work with Anova sub-district team and PASP team to use data to identify poor performing facilities, put together and implement QI plans as agreed upon with the team & facilities.
    • Provide training to relevant staff (Internal & external staff) on programmes related to Management of Adolescents living with HIV or at risk of contracting HIV (PrEP, SRHR, STI’s, Adherence support, AYFS etc.).
    • Mentor &coach, the NIMART DsD nurses and Anova Apace teams on key issues related to Management of Adolescents living with HIV or at risk of contracting HIV (PrEP, SRHR, STI’s, Adherence support, AYFS etc.).
    • Maintain database and administration aspects of any trainings/support session done.
    • Work with Anova roving technical team to identify gaps within the health system and implement corrective measures where necessary.
    • Ensure the AYFS and the establishment of youth zones is prioritised e.g., flexi/happy hour/youth clinic days etc.
    • Perform baseline assessments prior to implementation of PrEP and AYFS as required for the purposes of quality improvement that is aligned with the adolescent youth programme and NDoH’s relevant strategies (Ideal Clinic, AYFS, 959595) at supported facilities and implement corrective measures.
    • Submit monthly, quarterly & adhoc reports to line manager.
    • Monitor progress against performance monthly.
    • Participate in cluster meetings and other meetings as required.
       

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse.
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council.
    • NIMART trained and mentored.
    • 2 to 5 years’ Experience in working as a professional nurse including work in HIV/AIDS/TB with special focus on adolescents and youth specific care at Primary Health Care level.
    • Trained on Paediatric management of ART.
    • Experience in implementing and support youth programmes, particularly around the promotion of sexual reproductive health and rights and AYFS.
    • Experience in engaging with youth and practitioners working with young people.
    • Experience in training an advantage.

    Outreach Team Lead

    Job Description

    • The successful candidate will offer advanced integrated health care to disengaged individuals and household through a roving system within a specified sub-district mainly supporting facilities with high numbers of LTFU patients or missed appointment. Focusing on intensified physical tracing, active referral, linkage to care, adherence support health promotion, screening, and disease prevention.

     

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead defaulter tracing activities
    • Conduct physical tracing.
    • Retention in care
    • Clinical Services
    • Offer other health related clinical screening services (Blood Pressure, Glucose, pregnancy etc.) to clients during all community outreach activities.
    • Assist with collection of blood samples:
    • Ensure abnormal incidences are recorded, reported, and fast tracked for confirmation and linkage into care.
    • Assist with delivery of medicine at household.
    • Conduct health screening and testing services during campaigns, household visits and at facilities.
    • Active Linkage to Care
    • Monitoring and reporting of outcomes
    • Stakeholder engagement
    • Cross cutting activities:
    • Promote HIV testing and screening for TB, STIs, NCDs, Cervical Cancer mental health for person.
    • Assist with training and supervision of CHWs.
    • Work with CHWs to continuously identify and map other community stakeholders providing various services to link household members for psychosocial and economic care.
    • Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    • Enrolled nursing certificate or relevant qualification
    • Minimum of One year of work experience in nursing
    • Experience of working within community health programs
    • Up to date knowledge on South African HIV/TB programs, preferably in the public health sector
    • Counselling experience, especially HIV.
    • Up to date professional body registration
    • Confidentiality and discretion
    • Ability to work in a poorly resourced environment.
    • Ability to work weekends, as and when required.

    • Manage the overall level of people risk in the portfolio and ensure that ER processes and procedures are adhered to
    • Build relationships and network with line managers through effective communication
    • Ensure effective and consistent implementation of the performance management process
    • Generate monthly HR reports and action/ innovate for improvement on HR Metrics

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in at least one of the following disciplines: Human Resources, Labour Relations, Organizational Development, and Industrial Psychology
    • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist experience
    • Minimum 5 years’ management and leadership experience
    • Experience working in an NPO/NGO highly advantageous
    • Demonstrated ability to creatively implement HR solutions and solve HR related problems
    • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
    • Proficiency in handling employee relations matters
    • Computer Literacy and proficiency in MS Office; SAGE 300 experience highly advantageous
