    Maintenance Foreman (Port Elizabeth)

    Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based in Production, Port Elizabeth Supply Chain. This person will report to the Maintenance Manager.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Ensure routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment on the packaging lines and related equipment.
    • Improving machine efficiency and overall equipment efficiency of packaging equipment
    • Input into departmental and lines’ maintenance budgets
    • Ensure spares usage and associated costs are optimised
    • Managing people
    • Performance management of staff
    • Health and Safety Supervision
    • Managing shuts and smaller packaging line-related projects
    • Drive E2 (World class) practises- 5S, VM. TW, FI, with particular emphasis on Asset Care (AC)
    • Ensuring job cards are effectively completed, updated (if required), controlled and administered in conjunction with the Planning office
    • Adherence to Service Level Agreements established with Packaging
       

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • Knowledge of packaging/ bottling equipment
    • Have proven verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations regarding tools.
    • Knowledge in FMCG environment will be an advantage
    • Knowledge of all workshop/engineering tools, machines, apparatus and materials.
    • Computer literate, SAP, MS Word & MS Excel
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
       

    Requirements:

    • Recognised N6 Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering Certificate and a trade test certificate.
    • Knowledge of bottling equipment, workshop and engineering practises, tools and apparatus.
    • Minimum of 5 years practical experience.

    Temp Accounts Payable Clerk x2 - Tygervalley

    Applications are invited for the above mentioned position in the Procure to Pay Department based at the HIVE in Tygervalley. The successful applicant will report to the Accounts Payable Operations Manager.

    Purpose of the position:

    • The purpose of this position is to perform problem solving tasks in an automated AP environment where transactional processing and administrative support is of critical importance. The role includes extracting and creating stats for KPIs, processing payments, reviewing unpaid invoices and conducting vendor invoice age analysis, as well as completing and performing vendor reconciliations.

    Key performance areas include, but are not limited to: 

    • Proactive risk identification, mitigation and management
    • Ensure compliance to Procure to Pay policies, procedures and contracts
    • Readsoft - Verify and Optimization of vendors; Utilise Dashboard; Verify & Optimize tracking.
    • Processing invoices through ReadSoft (Verify Invoice (OCR), monitor and manage documents in PD for AP, resolve failed workflows, resolve PO exceptions (missing GR, Price /Quantity mismatch) Resolve FI and Form approval issues and Duplicate check)
    • Prepare monthly reconciliations for all applicable ledger accounts and resolve all items not reconciled
    • Provide relevant and administrative support to business to ensure achievement of objectives
    • Vendor Invoice Age Analysis 
    • Review unpaid invoices
    • Extract/create Stats for KPIs 
    • GRIR analysis and resolving of queries
    • Perform effective query resolution and escalate where unable to assist or resolve
    • Optimize and improve systems and work processes to drive productivity and reduce cost.
    • Participate in benchmarking and process improvement initiatives to improve controls and make processes more effective/efficient.

     
    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance
    • Minimum 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience which includes experience in Creditors Function in FMCG company
    • Knowledge of accounts payable
    • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
    • Knowledge of relevant accounting software
    • Experience in the following technologies is a requirement: SAP 
    • Knowledgeable/experience using purchasing systems, (Readsoft/Coupa), MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 
    • Strong Accounting skills
    • Ability to maintain good Vendor Relationships PC Proficiency
    • Strong Data Entry Skills General Math Skills
    • Strong customer service and team orientation
    • Ability to organize, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks rapidly with attention to detail
    • Ability to gather, analyse, interpret and present relevant quantitative and qualitative data

    Handyman - Port Elizabeth

    Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position in the Engineering Department, based at Port Elizabeth Production. The successful incumbent will report to the Maintenance Foreman.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • The stripping, assembling and repair of parts or components.
    • Starting, stopping and operating air compressors.
    • Lubrication of machines and equipment.
    • Performing ad hoc duties as and/or when requested by Foreman.
    • Performing related administration (e.g. inspection sheets, job cards, etc.)
    • Adhering to safety procedures and general housekeeping standards.
    • Actively participate in all Mini Business activities.
       

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • 1 year in FMCG production environment
    • Experience in Engineering Workshop/Maintenance environment and a relevant NQF3 Qualification will be advantageous
    • Experience in the safe and effective use of workshop equipment (e.g. drill press, drilling machine, angle grinder, electrical cut-off machine, bench grinder, etc.).
    • Relevant working experience in lubrication is essential, preferably in a production environment
    • Basic administrative abilities in order to complete relevant forms.
    • Working knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards.
    • Ability to cope with the inherent physical demands of the position
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure;
    • Be customer focused;
    • Must be willing and able to work extended hours as and/or when required;
    • Must have reliable transport to and from work.
