    Warehouse Supervisor - Kempton Park

    Primary Purpose of Role:

    • Direct, manage and coordinate, logistics and warehouse activities for inbound and outbound deliverables. Lead and direct strategic planning for logistics services. In this role the person will lead the execution of the business strategy for buying, material fulfillment, and logistics along with developing and executing initiatives within the Wabtec facility. In addition, the role will be responsible for overall implementation of the company’s safety requirements and materials handling operational execution and serve as the focal point for integrating Wabtec systems and processes as required.

    Primary Objectives:

    • Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and dormant material effectively and practicing first in first out (FIFO) to eliminate expiry of materials.
    • Own and drive supplier claims/ refunds to balance stock and PO inventory tied to Quality Control practices.
    • Create, manage and achieve Supply Chain and Logistics department budgets.
    • Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations internally and externally by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures
    • Manage outbound logistic to customers to ensure timelines and processes are met.
    • Manage warehouse team on GRV and stock dispatch to production or the customer for finished goods.
    • Conduct regular cycle counts, periodic stocktake and inventory reports.
    • Manage stock inventory and inventory turns to be inline of the business.
    • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
    • Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.  
    • Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting, and self-actualization

    Formal Education/Training

    • Degree in Supply Chain or Transportation/Logistics Management
    • 8 to 10 years in supply chain/logistics environment
    • Exposure to the Manufacturing or Railway Rolling stock an advantage
    • ORACLE experience and advantage / preferred.

    Senior Buyer

    Primary Purpose of Role:

    • Primarily responsible is for the strategic procurement functions for all parts and material required by Wabtec SA and FIPSA. All products and parts are to be secured at cost, quality and delivery at competitive levels consistent with policies and performance requirements while maintaining a strong supplier relationship to assure continuity of supply and maximum profitability. Additional responsibilities will include scheduling, and inventory of products and parts as assigned with excellent follow through with vendors.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (These include the following, and other duties may be assigned)

    • Identify problem areas that impact supplier delivery and quality performance and initiates corrective action
    • Supports organization to reduce cost, consolidate supply base, reduce inventory, develop and implement new suppliers 
    • Understand, track, and forecast the key cost drivers for assigned suppliers and takes appropriate actions
    • Performing detailed cost analysis of components & manufacturing processes used by our suppliers to ensure highest quality at the lowest cost solution
    • Sourcing domestic vendors, initiates new supplier search and performs supplier evaluation with the SCT quality team
    • Control purchased material and product cost tied to overall inventory targets and business objectives
    • Establish and maintain supplier performance and certification process 
    • Works closely with the Production Planner in scheduling requirements
    • Perform spreadsheet analysis, cost analysis and comparisons
    • Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization

    • Experience implementing a compliant Souring / Procurement plan tied to localization.

    Qualifications 

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Procurement/Supply Chain (advantage – Technical Diploma / Degree)
    • Post graduate certificate or diploma in procurement and supply chain management
    • CIPS affiliation (would be advantageous)

    • 8-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to technical manufacturing drawings
    • Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as emails, quotes, contracts, and bills of lading, drawings, and bill of materials

    • Possess knowledge of Wabtec products and understands time restraints

    Storeman/Driver

    Primary Purpose of Role:

    • This person is responsible for the verification and record keeping of incoming and outgoing shipments and preparation of items for shipment, together with the occasional task of driving. Compares, identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. He/she will communicate with suppliers and forwarders on a regular basis to track and trace goods.

    Primary Objectives:

    • Receives product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy
    • Moves shipments into appropriate locations for stocking and maintain a high standard of housekeeping in the goods receiving and despatching areas.
    • Establish and maintain a goods receiving, despatching area and maintains stock areas.
    • Manage garbage and recycling dumpsters for pick-up on appropriate days
    • Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
    • Ensure shipping labels are fixed on packed cartons/crates identifying shipping information.
    • Ensure packing of goods is done according to company standards
    • Ensure incoming shipments are unpacked and inspected, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
    • Routes items to relevant departments.
    • Inspects outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet company and forwarders’ specifications.
    • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
    • Operates forklift or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
    • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
    • Operates the company vehicle to make deliveries or collections based on operational needs.

    Formal Education/Training

    • High School: Grade 12
    • Code 08 Driving License (PDP would be an advantage)
    • Exposure to the Railway Rolling stock will be an advantage: 5 to 10 years warehouse experience.
    • Oracle working experience.
