In this role, a typical day will include:

• Supporting the profitability of the Vision Care portfolio to optimize profitability, as well as the implementation of short and medium term product strategies, cascaded by the Sales & Marketing Manager
• Responsible for managing the profitability, growth, and marketing of the Alcon Portfolios
• Responsible for driving customer relationship management for the entire Vision Care Portfolio
• Responsible for preparing the brand overview, together with the Sales and Marketing Manager, through the use of Aspire

• Full Control of A&P Budget management; tracking and reporting. Assist the Sales and Marketing Manager with PO creation, budget tracking, and budget accruals on a monthly basis
• Briefing in artwork to creative agencies
• Loading of all promotional material onto VEEVA for internal approval
• Collation of the marketing tracker, which the Marketing Manager will use to develop distribution and promo-tional insights
• Assistance with planning all Vision Care internal and external meetings, conferences, and product launches
• Manage all POS material printing with external suppliers
• Manage distribution of all marketing POS materials to the relevant companies and Sales Representatives
• Management of all social media competitions to ensure that all prizes are packed for the relevant winners
• Working with creative agency to develop monthly Social media content
• Assist with the development of all marketing content required for Pitcher (Sales Force tool)
• Assist with the development and implementation of My Alcon website
• Assist Sales and Marketing Manager with any ad hoc queries regarding marketing activities
• Manage the Key Account tracker to ensure that all marketing material is dispatched in a timely manner

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: 

• University degree or equivalent in Science (Optometry preferred), Marketing or Business qualification
• 3 years minimum experience
• Business acumen, managing & measuring work, planning, priority setting
• Energising interactions – ethics & values, motivating others, customer focus, organisational agility
• Passionate ownership – driver for results, perseverance

• Detailing of new products and marketing initiatives to the account base in a targeted way
• Conducting training
• Planning and management of call plans
• Feedback market intelligence
• Ensure that all territory administration is completed efficiently as necessary

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON: 

• Surgical Sales Medical device background preferred, but not essential
• Experience within ophthalmology is ideal
• Understanding of healthcare industry and the private/ public hospital landscape in the area
• Strong experience in a similar commercial and multinational business is ideal
• High learning agility and adaptability

• Increase the market share of Advanced Technology Intraocular Lenses and increase the number of Advanced Technology equipment installed
• Implement value-added services to support the adoption of Advanced Technologies
• Training and technical excellence
• Establish and foster relationships with target customers to promote trust and engagement
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time to commercial sites in the region

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelors degree in Optometry/ degree in engineering with experience in ophthalmic space/ BSc in Biomedical field
• Ophthalmic experience is essential
• At least 3 years of clinical application experience, preferably in cataract refractive surgery
