    Internal Auditor - ICT and Compliance

    OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB;

    • The Internal Auditor (ICT and Compliance ) conducts assigned internal audit engagements and special ad hoc projects under the supervision of the Senior Internal Auditor in accordance with the risk based internal audit plan. 

    Internal Audit Project Planning:

    • Participate by making inputs to the preparation and development of the Audit Project Plan.
    • Conduct preliminary survey on allocated audit engagements. a break-down in a control for understanding the business environment and all aspects of the audit area with respect to information flows, policies and procedures.
    • Interview personnel of audit area to obtain relevant audit information.
    • Draft system description and / or flowchart.
    • Identify key controls within the audit area.
    • Identify critical control points in a system flowchart
    • Compile a control gap analysis identifying audit objectives, risks and controls.

    Internal Audit Execution/Audit Testing:

    • Develop audit program and testing procedures relevant to risks and test objectives identified.
    • Prepare working papers documenting work performed in line with the audit methodology.
    • Perform audit test as per approved audit programme.
    • Evaluate measures instituted by management to ensure that resources have been acquired economically, utilised efficiently and effectively.
    • Perform compliance tests (tests of the operation controls)
    • Document audit test results on working papers.
    • Conclude on working papers in line with the audit objectives.

    Reporting:

    • Compile exceptions based on working papers, test results and conclusions and submit to the Senior Internal Auditor for review.

    Follow-Up on Findings:

    • Perform relevant follow-up of previous audit findings.
    • Gather evidence to support the conclusion reached for follow-ups.

    Quality Assurance:

    • Prepared all manual and electronic files/working papers in line with the audit methodology.
    • Ensures that all audits are conducted within the agreed budget, hours and timeframes.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualification: 

    • NQF Level 7 qualification i.e., Bachelor of Commerce Degree or Bachelor of Technology in Audit or ICT or equivalent.

    Ideal Qualification:

    • Must hold or be studying towards a CIA, CRMA, and CCSA.
    • A registered member with the appropriate professional body (IIA SA)

    Experience:

    • 5 years Financial management or Internal Auditing Experience

    Inspector: Mechanics

    Overall Purpose of the Job:

    • Making recommendations regarding the issuance or amendment of the AOC and the associated operations specifications, and the operator's competence to continue to exercise the privileges of the certificate.
    • Making recommendations concerning any special conditions that, considering the investigation, may need to be imposed.
    • Informing the operator of any deficiencies needing rectification; and making recommendations concerning appropriate enforcement action.

    Site and Airline Inspections:

    • Conduct routine inspections such as the inspection of a station facility, apron, en-route operation and base and carry out oversight or checks considered necessary at prescribed intervals.
    • Assess the effectiveness of the operator’s SMS and the level of resources allocated to it.
    • Conduct such inspections or oversight in accordance with an established work programme and applicable standard procedures and instructions.
    • Advise the operator, in writing, of any significant deficiency, requesting a proposal for remedial action;
    • Conduct follow-up on inspection reports to ensure that appropriate action has been taken in a timely manner.
    • Submit reports on each inspection or investigation in the manner prescribed, and complete and process the applicable inspection forms;
    • Investigate and report, as required, possible violations of the basic aviation law or related safety operating regulations and rules;
    • Continuously review the operator's pertinent documentation (e.g. Operations, Training, SMS, Quality, Maintenance Control Manuals and Aircraft Maintenance Programmes), company policies, operating instructions and information to staff and system of amendments to determine whether they are accurate and made available in a timely manner to persons requiring their use;
    • Keep appropriate CAA inspectorate staff informed on all aspects of the current operation and projected developments in the company including changes in executive personnel, in assigned responsibilities and in the operator's organization in general

    Maintenance and Acquisition of Specialist Skills:

    • Keep abreast and remain proficient in specialist skills, human factors and new developments of technology.

    Proposals and Revision of Standards;

    • Proactively research, develop and propose the specific standards to be applied in operator operations.

    Communications and Safety Promotion; 

    • Project a satisfactory image of the SACAA to all stakeholders.
    • Provide industry feedback to the Authority.
    • Promote aviation safety by proposing improvements in operational requirements.

    Qualification;

    Minimum;

    • Grade 12 (Matric) and Hold or has held Appropriate  Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License
    • Experience with the problems of operating or maintaining transport aircraft
    • Driver's license

    Ideal;

    • Legal (E.g. Driver's license, blasting certificate, etc.)
    • National Diploma equivalent to NQF level 6

    Experience:

    • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - 5 years as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer of civil or military air transport aircraft

    Trainee UX/UI Designer

    OVERALL, PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • The post holder will be responsible for the development of User Interface/Experience (UI/UX) methodologies, designing system of user interfaces, system mock-ups, user stories, UI/UX testing techniques, metrices, UI/UX test plans and cases and ensure that designs meet business and functional requirements specifications.

    User Interface/User Experience Design and System Development:

    • Design user interfaces and experiences that enhance the usability and efficiency of ICT systems.
    • Develop user-centred design.
    • Develop high level and detailed storyboards, 
    • Develop standards for mock-ups, wireframes and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
    • Create detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and test system design concepts, emphasizing functionality and user interaction.
    • Develop and maintain test cases for application user interfaces.
    • Execute scenario-based test cases to test user interfaces.
    • Analyse test metrics for user interface and performance assessment.
    • Produce requirements traceability matrix against user interface design test cases.
    • Assesses and optimizes the performance of new and existing features. 
    • Participate in user research and assessing performance metrics.Develops and maintains detailed user-interface specifications.
    • Develops and user interface/experience techniques.
    • Ensure adherence of the UI/UX designs to the organisation CI standards
    • .Presents design work to multiple teams.
    • Conduct thorough user research and translate findings into IT system design decisions.

    Business Solution Delivery:

    • Develop test cases as per User interface designs.
    • Plan and conduct quality assurance on the developed User interfaces
    • Analyse test failures and make recommendations.
    • Trace requirements to test cases of the UI/UX Designs
    • Test and confirm adherence of the developed UI/UX to organisational CI
    • Monitor and update UI/UX Design test cases and test plans.
    • Monitor defects and produce defects report
    • Priorities defects logged with development team.
    • Participate in User Acceptance Testing together with end users and business analysts
    • Work with Business analysts to monitor User Acceptance Testing process.
    • Documenting all test scripts and test evidence UX/UI designs testing

    Liaison and Coordination:

    • Liaise with service providers and internal clients when developing UI/UX designs and test plans. 
    • Work closely with Cooperate Communications on the design of UI/UX to ensure alignment with the Cooperate Identity. 
    • Work with end users, Business Analyst and System Analyst to test the application functionality and design.
    • Lead the  development of test cases.
    • Coordinate and conduct the end user training together with the Business Analysts
    • Lead the user acceptance testing sessions
    • Providing support for projects during implementation and post implementation.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualification

    • B Arts or related degree 
    • Certificate in Information Security and Certificate in UX Fundamentals

    Ideal Qualification;

    • B Honus Degree or BTech in IT 

    Experience:

    • 1 year - Working on ICT Projects as a Tester and/or graphic designer  
    • 1 year - Working on various graphic design assignments 
    • 1 year - Knowledge and understanding of Information and records management 
    • 1 year - System Development (using Microsoft Power platforms would be an added advantage)

    Trainee Network Administrator

    Overall Purpose Of The Job:

    • The overall purpose of a Trainee Network Administrator is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of SACAA’s  IT infrastructure, particularly its servers and network systems.

    Proactive maintenance:

    • Regular maintenance of servers and network equipment
    • Identify and implement network infrastructure needs to improve current system infrastructure.
    • Oversee and manage big, complex projects involving network deployment and operating systems.
    • Manage and oversee large complex projects that relate to network deployment and operational systems
    • Plan for current and future technical and network requirements.Implementation and upkeep of the IT Continuity Plan, including daily backups, documentation, and failure testing.
    • All network resources must be monitored, controlled, and maintained.

    Liaison and Coordination:

    • Liaise with external companies/contractors/suppliers and internal clients to coordinate services and future options
    • Provide support to SACAA based external client connectivity

    Operational Management:

    • Report on given tasks, system activities, scheduled network maintenance, network account information, and network problems in writing.
    • Assist with report analysis, troubleshooting, and firewall maintenance, as well as Intrusion Detection Systems, Web servers, Remote Access Services, and content filtering.
    • Assist the organization in raising information security knowledge about the threats that they may expose the organization to.
    • Maintain and deploy the IT infrastructure while making sure that ICT Governance is followed.
    • Configuration management for a range of applications, servers, and networks.

    Support Services:

    • Ensure that the network infrastructure is constantly upgraded.
    • Configure servers, devices, and firewalls. Monitor server and network performance on both the software and hardware levels. 
    • Ensure the seamless implementation of new apps throughout the organization.

    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualification:

    • National Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent and Related NQF level 6 qualification

    Ideal Qualification:

    • BTech, BCom (Computer Science); MCSE Diploma, A+ Comptia, N+Comptia, Azure Cloud Certification; Microsoft 365 Administrator.

    Experience:

    • 1 year - Server Administrator experience
