Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Cisco CCNP Security, basic networking and routing skills
• Essential - minimum 2 years working experience within cybersecurity domain with emphasis on Cisco enterprise firewalls, IPS, DNS, Mail gateways, Network Access Control, endpoint security solutions, PKI, Security Operations Centre tasks and vulnerability assessments

Responsibilities:

• Proactively monitors, investigates and reports on information security incidents, Internet use and ICT policy breaches
• Administers all security solutions in the Information Security domain including, but not limited to, firewalls, IPS's, VPNs, Mail Gateways, Proxy solutions, Anti-Virus and other end point solutions, Network Access Control solutions, DNS clusters, Cloud security, mail and domain protection mechanisms such as DMARC, SPF, DKIM, PKI and Certificate Management
• Perform proactive vulnerability assessments and assist with managed Security Operations Centre tasks
• Proactively conducts analyses and investigation of alleged breaches of Internet use by staff and students. As necessary, compiles reports and recommendations for management
• Researches, plans and implements information security technical solutions to meet business requirements
• Develops, implements and administers information security programs, including education and awareness, information security management reviews and audits
• Develops, reviews and maintains information security policies and procedures
• Assists with monitoring, measuring and reporting on the critical success factors of the University's information security framework
• Maintains auditable records and necessary documentation for services and processes undertaken within the Information Security team function
• Assists with information classification and information risk analysis, assessment and acceptance processes
• Maintains awareness of the implication of legislation or other internal and external regulations associated with the effective management of information security

Job Description

Key outputs:

•  Monitor the work and overall performance of regional protection services technology systems for all mining operations.
•  Evaluate and ensure processing performance relating to system and machine utilisation, reliability and capacity
•  Forecast financial, physical, and IM service specialists concerning protection services Infrastructure linking to CCTV/ alarm systems and Video Management Systems (VMS).
•  Manage all risks relating to the protection services environment.
•  Manage costs associated with the protection services transparently and effectively, including investment choices and budgeting to ensure equipment is “healthy.”
•  Own a monthly, global service delivery review with the protection services vendors, with input from the regions
•  Act as the subject matter escalation point for regional incidents or complex site incidents related to protection services infrastructure.
•  Manage the performance of the vendors, and ensure they are meeting or exceeding their contractual commitments for services and projects, including those delivered directly to the BU’s
•  Understand technological trends and use this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise’s competitive edge
• Oversee and coordinate frameworks, designs, blueprints and restoration plans that isolate problems and implement pre-planned alternative routes or systems to restore service in the protection services environment.
•  Develop business and technology standards and best practices for the protection services environment in all mining operations and disciplines.
•  Requirements Analysis involves gathering and analyzing users' and stakeholders' requirements to understand their needs and expectations for protection management systems.
•  System Design: Designing the architecture and components of protection services management systems, including video management systems, surveillance infrastructure and access control.
•  Integration Planning: Planning and implementing integration between different protection services management systems and other enterprise systems to facilitate seamless data exchange and interoperability.
•  Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitoring the performance of protection services management systems and optimizing their configuration, resources, and processes to improve efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

Qualifications:

• Proactively perform economic and risk analysis activities, and produce thought leadership research outputs;
• Assist in monitoring and analysing economic and market risk activities, locally and internationally;
• Conduct relevant research and provide advice on economic and market risk matters;
• Participate in financial sector industry studies, market reviews and other large-scale research outputs relating to market development;
• Gather primary and secondary data using questionnaires, surveys, interviews, as well as desktop and literature reviews amongst other methods;
• Record findings, analyse and interpret patterns and trends;
• Write research proposals, reports and present research findings and observations;
• Assist to coordinate, liaise, and engagement with and provide assistance to internal and external stakeholders on key issues in the area of responsibility; and
• Assist and support the Senior Manager with other tasks necessary or desirable to enhance the performance of the department.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics (or similar);
• 6 years’ experience working as a researcher (ideally in financial services industry);
• In-depth understanding and experience of the economic and business outlook, macro-economic variables, capital markets and risk related issues, as well as exposure to competition economics;
• A postgraduate and/or professional qualification in the above-mentioned fields will be an added advantage.
