    Mid-Weight Digital Designer

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the creative team to develop and execute design concepts for Rainmaker Media, ensuring they are current and align with our brand identity.
    • Create high-quality visual assets, including graphics, illustrations, and animations, for use in the app, marketing materials, and social media.
    • Stay updated with design trends, digital best practices, and industry standards to ensure our creative remains competitive and current.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide design ideas that contribute to the continuous improvement of Rainmaker’s supplier artwork on the Sixty60 app.

    Requirements

    • Relevant years of professional experience in digital design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, visual excellence, and an understanding of current design trends.
    • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar software.
    • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and the ability to translate them into captivating visuals and user interfaces.
    • Experience working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, preferably in an agile development team.
    • Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate and justify design decisions.
    • Knowledge of After Effects/animation is a plus.

    Junior Copywriter

    Our ideal candidate:

    • Has just finished studying or has worked in an Advertising agency for atleast a year
    • Able to work across various target markets, platforms and channels
    • Willling to learn and understand retail brands
    • Keeps a cool head and delivers exceptional results under pressure, against fast and tight deadlines and in volume
    • Able to work collaboratively in a team and is resourceful; focused and level-headedMust be Cape Town based and willing to work in office as well as from home

    Requirements

    • Relevant degree/diploma in Copywriting is a bonus
    • Or can demonstrate an ability to think and write creatively
    • 0-1 years' relevant work experience as a Copywriter in an advertising agency (a College/University OR television and radio portfolio is required)
    • Solid knowledge/understanding of digital platforms in conjunction with more traditional channels essential

    Solid working knowledge and understanding of social content including would be a plus:

    • SEO and SEM
    • AdWords
    • Analytics Reporting
