    Senior Freight Operations Team Member

    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ability to handle both LCL and FCL, breakbulk shipments and hazardous shipments
    • Execute import and export shipment end to end
    • Ability to handle both LCL and FCL shipments and hazardous
    • Ensure improvement in on time delivery performance of the trade lanes serviced by Aramex
    • Ensure Cargowise is updated & milestone status update integrity is 100%
    • Well-motivated and capable to handle freight forwarding operations independently without supervision
    • Develop strong relationship with carrier, transporters and service providers
    • Complete job costing and billing
    • Follow company SOPs and achieve KPI
    • Independently Handling Pre - Shipments and Post Shipments Documents
    • Coordinate with shipping line and get the BL status and local charges update
    • Coordinating with staff on regular basis for customs Clearance activities
    • Doing regular follow up with clients nominated and Various Issues e.g. like stuffing Plan, Vessel schedule, B/L copy Etc.
    • Co - ordination with shipping lines, transporters & and operations staff & Aramex offices

    Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or any other field
    • 3-5 years of relevant working experience in the Sea Freight Forwarding industry
    • Experience in operations and broad knowledge of regulations
    • Cargowise experience preferred
    • Excellent MS office skills: Word, Excel and Power Point
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    Senior Compliance Officer

    Purpose of the Job

    Job Description

    • Assist with the effective Compliance monitoring and all aspects of compliance related activities.
    • Track non-compliant findings until resolved.
    • Assist with monitoring the efficiency of compliance controls and assist with the enhancement of procedures and controls.
    • Assist with maintaining appropriate written procedures to ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, and policies and to assistance in adherence to such procedures.
    • Assist with preparing of compliance reports.
    • Assist with preparation of reports to regulatory authorities.
    • Monitor changes in relevant legal requirements and other regulatory developments which may impact on the company
    • To accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner

    • Assistance in the preparation collation and issue of reports and registers as may be required.

    • Assist with PR's and GRN's
    • Assist with rental agreements
    • Customs Penalty Payments daily
    • Pay the deferment statements
    • Top customs duties
    • Top customs VAT
    • Pay customs duties when the deferment account is depleted.
    • Pay customs VAT when the deferment account is depleted.
    • Notify and communicate with the customs team when customs accounts have been topped up to update their EDI system.
    • Daily review and check that the deferment account limits have not been depleted.
    • Request Interim Statements weekly on the e-filing portal, which must be send to the Global Customs team on a weekly basis.
    • Assisting with banking ad hoc queries
    • Assisting with BI queries
    • Assisting with general bank queries
    • Assisting business with completing bank forms
    • Clearing International incoming funds with bank
    • Assisting with Labour Audits

    Job Responsibilities - Experience and Education

    • Minimum requirement is a BCom/BA degree or equivalent majoring ideally in Business, Law or Compliance and Risk Management
    • A minimum of 3 year experience in Compliance or related field
    • Candidate must be computer literate (MS Office) – Excel advance level
    • Sound knowledge of FAIS, FICA and knowledge of the South African Regulatory Environment in the Financial services sector
    • Excellent Computer Proficiency (MS Office)
    • Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport
