    Area Sales Professional (HW & SW) Inland Varian BU

    • Successful candidate will be responsible for new account development and/or expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory (Inland) as well as building and managing relationships with current customers, identifying new customers and developing relationships for the purpose of selling assigned Varian products.
    • The candidate will be responsible for selling complex technical products and/or services of Varian's portfolio of hardware and software solutions. She/he is ultimately responsible for Hardware and Software Sales order budget and will carry out all pre-sales activities. This includes scoping and determining products and/or packages to be sold in the assigned territory.

    Under minimal supervision, performing all sales functions in assigned territory, including but not limited to:

    • Analyzing territory for sales potential
    • Developing and implementing effective sales strategies
    • Maintaining appropriate level of territory coverage
    • Planning and executing effective sales calls
    • Scheduling and performing product demonstrations
    • Will be relied on as a technical product expert to develop and present sales proposals and systems solutions, and close complex technical sales.
    • Managing the sales order/quotation process
    • Builds proactive strategies around key upsell products and services to continue to grow the business in the assigned territory and promote the LifeCycle sales approach.
    • Serving as a consultative resource to customers
    • Achieving superior level of overall customer satisfaction
    • Providing regular customer and market feedback to company
    • Representing Varian ethics, values and business practices with all internal and external stakeholders

    Your expertise:

    • Ideally from an Oncology background (Radiotherapist with Oncology speciality, Medical Physicist or Medical Technologist with Oncology experience)
    • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
    • Typical Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Lifesciences (or equivalent experience) and 5 years of related experience or master’s degree with 3 years of related experience.
    • Product knowledge and ability to conduct demonstrations Industry knowledge Organizational acumen/skills
    • Good understanding of oncology customers, their requirements & clinical challenges faced during implementation & adoption of our products. Exposure to Eclipse or Aria is desirable
    • Advantage if speaks at least one additional language (Zulu or Xhosa)
    • Located in the Gauteng region with access Nationally
    • Exuberant personality with good problem-solving skills

    SAICA Trainee

    Your role:

    • Plans, prepares and consolidates balance sheet and P&L statements and reports, according to relevant accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP, local standard etc)
    • Prepares reports for division or support function management
    • Analyse and evaluate assets and liabilities
    • Contributes with analyses relevant for annual financial statements
    • Co-operates with vendors, clients in reconciling the account status, on an accountable level
    • Keeps abreast with changes of internal guidelines and external accounting standards, and prepares and presents training
    • Review and update published guidelines owned by Processes & Projects
    • Issue and implement new accounting guidelines

    • Proactively understand and implement Support Function and Financial Reporting Guideline requirements
    • Ensures that all SAICA learning requirements technically and professionally are met with in the relevant time period

    Your qualifications and experience:

    • Completed BCom Accounting Honours (CTA) or equivalent
