    Material Controller Gr 1 (Mpumalanga - Secunda)

    Description

    • Monitor production processes within area of responsibility by overseeing product flow, tracking quality control, inspecting and testing materials and final products, verifying consistency, optimising efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and completing daily administrative tasks. 
    • Enhance productivity and minimise waste by identifying opportunities for process improvement, developing actionable recommendations, presenting proposals, implementing approved changes, and measuring outcomes as required. 
    • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues or deviations by collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring resolution within set deadlines. 
    • Track performance by capturing relevant production data, analysing trends, identifying areas for improvement, and generating accurate reports to support decision-making. 
    • Provide guidance and support to junior operators by identifying needs or responding to requests, offering instruction and advice, demonstrating procedures, observing compliance, and confirming understanding as required. 
    • Ensure compliance with organisational policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge, participating in training sessions, and proactively sourcing answers to queries on a daily and as-needed basis. 
    • Ensure effective implementation of SHE by delivering comprehensive training, completing training programs, and addressing any identified gaps or non-compliance
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by facilitating regular communication, exchanging feedback, and supporting collaboration.
    • Contribute to the team by actively participating in team events, identifying areas where support is needed, and providing the necessary assistance. 

    Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Science and English
    • 2+ years in materials control in a production environment

    Maintenance Operator Gr1: Mechanical (Mpumalanga - Secunda)

    Description

    • Assist with maintenance activities across operations and the plant by preparing equipment for inspections, completing allocated maintenance tasks, using tools responsibly, and providing timely feedback on work completed. 
    • Complete assigned testing and inspections by interpreting technical drawings and specifications, following established procedures, finalising required documentation, and reporting any deviations or defects to the foreman within the set deadline. 
    • Maintain good housekeeping standards by adhering to housekeeping procedures, inspecting workspaces, toolboxes, equipment, and maintenance storage areas for cleanliness, order, and safety, and addressing any issues before proceeding to the next task
    • Ensure compliance with organisational policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge, participating in training sessions, and proactively sourcing answers to queries on a daily and as-needed basis.

    Scientist (Mpumalanga - Secunda)

    Description

    • Improve operational processes by analysingexisting workflows, engaging with process users and stakeholders 
    • Identifyinginefficiencies through data analysis, developing strategic improvement initiatives, and submitting proposed changes for review and approval within set deadlines. 
    • Implement approved operational improvement strategies by defining structured implementation plans including budgeting and procurement engaging affected team members, leading change execution, addressing challenges, measuring results, and reporting progress within defined timeframes.
    • Identifyand resolve equipment and process malfunctions by collaborating with relevant stakeholders, diagnosing issues, and ensuring timely and effective corrective actions are implemented. 
    • Conduct training on new or revised processes and best practices by developing training materials, coordinatingand delivering sessions, assessing knowledge integration, providing post-training support, and monitoring compliance with training objectives. 
    • Implement and manage expenditure within budget by understanding cost components, approving spend in alignment with financial policies, and conducting monthly reviews.
    • Monitor actual expenditure by analyzing financial reports, identifying anomalies or areas of concern, and executing timely corrective actions.
    • Ensure effective implementation of SHE by delivering comprehensive training, completing training programs, and addressing any identified gaps or non-compliance.
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by facilitating regular communication, exchanging feedback, and supporting collaboration.
    • Manage service provider performance by tracking service level agreements, monitoring delivery against standards, identifying issues, and applying corrective actions when necessary.
    • Manage the implementation of unit business processes by monitoring compliance, identifying process anomalies, and executing corrective actions as required.
    • Manage unit performance by continuously monitoring results, detecting anomalies, and executing corrective actions on a monthly basis or as operational needs arise.
    • Ensure that the operations are aligned with sustainability principles, minimising environmental impact.

    Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent  
    • BSc / B Eng Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar 
    • 7+ years in an explosive/mining related laboratory  
    • 5+ years quality testing and reporting
