Purpose of the Role

• To support, quote and generate parts sales with existing and potentially new customers. Assist service technicians to book parts.

Key Performance Areas

• Be professional and provide timeous feedback on customer requirements
• Build strong customer relationships
• Meet monthly parts sales targets
• Identify and implementation of parts sales campaigns
• Processing of parts quotations and sales orders
• Follow-up and resolve customer parts order enquiries
• Provide regular feedback to customers on back orders and stock
• Monthly parts sales performance and market activity reports
• Meet objectives set to achieve individual and team scorecard targets
• Regularly attend and participate in team POP meetings
• Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
• Effective self-management and performance ownership
• Adherence to any reasonable instruction
• Assist service department to identify parts
• Book parts for service technicians
• Assist with annual wall-to-wall stock take
• Assist finance department with debtor and vendor queries

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualification

• Grade 12

Minimum Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role with strong general knowledge on parts

Key Performance Areas

• Picking of parts stock
• Receiving of parts
• Issuing of parts to internal and external customers
• Filing of all picking slips, delivery notes, proof of deliveries
• Keep accurate records of all waybills, picking slips and relevant documents
• Adhere to processes regarding airfreight and sea freight shipments
• Booking of daily shipment with couriers
• Assist customers when collecting parts
• Coordinate and ensure 100% compliance on all stock transfer orders and back orders
• Maintain an optimal inventory accuracy
• Maintain a solid claims process and follow up on all outstanding claims
• Participate in all stock count activities (weekly stock counts and annual wall to wall)
• Ensure accurate records in SAP for bin transfers and current bin locations
• Operation of forklift and offloading of stock from supplier vehicles
• Assist with all return shipment consolidation
• Ensure optimal picking turnaround times
• Ensure daily reports are sent to line manager
• Assist with the collection counter when required
• Issue service consumables and make stock adjustments for service consumables
• Process all service parts returns in SAP same day as returned
• Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures)
• Collection of parts from 3rd party suppliers
• Delivery of parts orders when required
• Will be required to work overtime during high activity periods
• Adherence to any reasonable instruction
