Cables and Connectors
- Ensuring cables and equipment are neat and do not pose a health and safety issue in studio or outside shoot.
Microphone Technics
- Correctly attaching and clipping microphones on presenters and guests clothing and providing them with earpieces for communication using discretion.
Audio Testing
- Assisting audio Mixer Testing Microphones prior to production. Assisting engineers with line-ups and sync tests.
Production Requirements
- Moving positional microphones according to the production team directions.
- Keeping up with changes of production requirements.
Production Reports
- Collating reports on day-to-day activities and report faults to the Technical Director and on email in line with daily shift reports.
Telecoms Station
- Manage the Telecoms Station (TMAN) where the dialing of field reporters and field Camera people on IFB & Coord is needed to connect with Studio.
Assisting as Floor Manager
- In the absents of a Floor Manager Audi Assistant may be required to assist/act in the role of floor manager as and when needed.
