    Audio Floor Assistant

    Understanding of Microphone    

    • Understanding the different microphones and microphone placement according to shoot requirements.

    Cables and Connectors

    • Ensuring cables and equipment are neat and do not pose a health and safety issue in studio or outside shoot.

    Microphone Technics

    • Correctly attaching and clipping microphones on presenters and guests clothing and providing them with earpieces for communication using discretion.

    Audio Testing  

    • Assisting audio Mixer Testing Microphones prior to production. Assisting engineers with line-ups and sync tests.

    Production Requirements

    • Moving positional microphones according to the production team directions.
    • Keeping up with changes of production requirements.

    Production Reports

    • Collating reports on day-to-day activities and report faults to the Technical Director and on email in line with daily shift reports.

    Telecoms Station

    • Manage the Telecoms Station (TMAN) where the dialing of field reporters and field Camera people on IFB & Coord is needed to connect with Studio.

    Assisting as Floor Manager

    • In the absents of a Floor Manager Audi Assistant may be required to assist/act in the role of floor manager as and when needed.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • National Diploma in Audio Production and/or similar 

    Experience

    • 2 years relevant experience preferable in the live audio department & Outside broadcast.

    Planning Producer

    Content Planning & Coordination

    • Develop and manage daily/weekly content plans in collaboration with editorial teams.
    • Align news coverage with organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
    • Coordinate with archives to secure overlays and appropriate visuals for booked guests.
    • Maintain a news calendar, tracking major events, breaking news potential, and emerging trends.
