    Senior Certified Aviation Technician Mechanical(CPT)

    Description

    Required to perform various SMV/Flight line duties including, but not limited to:

    • Conduct line maintenance inspections;
    • Ensure quality is built in on Pre-Flight, Post Flight and transit inspections performed;
    • Performing routine and non-routine inspections and maintenance on aircraft to ensure they meet the highest safety and operational standards;
    • Conduct routine inspections on various mechanical systems on the aircraft;
    • Conduct fault finding and rectify based on the fault;
    • Perform A-checks including weekly service checks;
    • Perform thorough daily inspections of the aircraft to identify any potential issues or defects;
    • Conduct necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft;
    • Adhere to established maintenance procedures and safety standards;
    • All activities must be properly recorded and signed off as per SACAA requirements ensuring that all the required legal aspects are compiled with;
    • Health and safety requirements must always be compiled with to ensure personal and other personnel safety, fire and accident / incident preventions;
    • Ensure that the work area, equipment, and tooling are properly maintained and safe prior to starting any job to prevent accidents or incidents to aircraft and staff;
    • Maintain the highest quality and standard of inspections;
    • Apply analytical thinking and troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions;
    • Communicate clearly and professionally to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent;
    • Minimum of 15 years aviation experience;
    • Line and SVM experience;
    • Previous experience working on B737-400 and 800;
    • Licensed AME with a SACAA A & C License on B737; 300/400/500/800;
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
    • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
    • Valid South-African passport holder.

    Certified Aviation Technician: Avionics

    Description

    • Conduct line maintenance inspections;
    • Conduct routine inspections on various mechanical systems on the aircraft;

    • Licensed AME with a SACAA W & X License;
    • Certified on B737; 400/800 airframe series and CFM;
    • Minimum of 5 years aviation experience;
    • Line or SVM experience;
    • Previous experience working on B737; 400 and 800 (Essential) 56-3C1 and 7B series engines;
    • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays;
    • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally;
    • Valid South-African passport holder;
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint);
    • Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation;
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of aviation regulations and safety standards;
    • Good understanding of the Avionics Schematic systems;
    • Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting experience on B737/400/800.

    Operations Duty Supervisor

    Description

    • Responsible for ensuring all staff conform to the required standards of services and efficiency;
    • Ensure service providers comply with procedures in place;
    • Monitor the Service provider SLA;
    • Monitor and supervise the daily operations;
    • Continuously improve quality standards;
    • Ensure sufficient staffing levels across all departments, including service providers and internal staff;
    • Responsible for the daily operational planning;
    • Ensure all staff are on duty and in full uniform;
    • Monitor company communication platforms and ensure that all requests are actioned;
    • Ensure check-in counters are open, on time and maintained as required (airport specific requirements);
    • Plan, monitor and evaluate the delay process effectively, efficiently, and professionally;
    • Complete the daily shift report and any delay reports as required;
    • Attend and conduct shift briefings with service providers and ticket sales;
    • Monitor operations ensuring that all flights depart as scheduled and ensure movements messages are sent timeously;
    • Monitor OTP, schedule changes and any other activity that may have an impact on operations and communicate with the relevant parties;
    • Ensure the ground handler is sufficiently equipped with radios, cell phones etc.;
    • Report equipment shortages to the relevant departments;
    • Ensure there is enough stock on hand, stickers, manual handling stock etc.;
    • Investigate incidents/irregularities and report to the station in charge;
    • Ensure disciplinary action is taken for non-compliance;
    • Address complaints promptly, conduct investigations, and provide feedback in a timely manner;
    • Ensure a detailed handover is prepared for the next shift;
    • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the office;
    • Ensure that the equipment/devices are maintained, secured, and handled with care;
    • Delegate responsibilities as required;
    • Perform spot checks on all internal and external stakeholders;
    • Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders;
    • Liaise with customers and maintain a visible, accessible presence for both staff and passengers at all times.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent;
    • Travel Degree or Diploma (Advantageous);
    • Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in an Airline/Aviation environment (Passenger Services and/or Ramp Services and/or Baggage Handling);
    • No criminal or credit record;
    • Must be willing to work shifts and on weekends;
    • Airside and terminal knowledge;
    • Must have knowledge of airport operations;
    • Computer literate;
    • Excellent communication skills;
    • Conflict resolution skills;
    • Dealing with confidential information;
    • Leadership skills;
    • The ability to work well under pressure;
