    Triton Express: Business Development Consultant (Sales) - v

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prospecting for new business by opportunity identification, area and business review, making telephonic contact and cold calling
    • Qualifying potential clients in terms of requirements (volumes, distribution areas, current providers, cargo types etc.) then submitting these to the Sales Manager for consideration in the form of a sales filter
    • Developing and updating knowledge of your own and competitors service offerings
    • Gathering market intelligence / information in terms of freight service opportunities, competitor activities and reports, accordingly
    • Determining customers’ needs and demonstrate Triton’s services to them to suite their requirements, adding value to their business
    • Formally present the business proposal
    • Negotiating prices and credit terms
    • Working on continuously improving marketing strategies
    • Achieving agreed sales targets
    • Planning, organising, following up and communicating progress to client effectively
    • Input of work to optimise the operations department capability
    • Updating leads to PENTAGON
    • Effective management of PENTAGON system & processes

    Starke Ayres: Regional Sales Manager

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Market Planning and Sales Strategy

    • Determines the regional market potential by sales area of Starke Ayres’ range of products.
    • Develops and implements a regional marketing plan and sales strategy, based on market potential, identified priority products and projected market share.
    • Annually submits regional sales objectives by sales area phased monthly.
    • Monitors regional sales performance on an ongoing basis, and reviews and updates sales projections and stock requirements as and when required.
    • Supervises and monitors the regional marketing plan and sales strategy, and motivates adjustments as and when required.

    Financial Budget

    • Annually submits a financial budget based on projected regional sales/marketing expenses and capital expenditure in his/her region.
    • Monitors and controls regional sales/marketing expenses in his/her region, motivating adjustments as and when required.

    Product Management

    • Evaluates Starke Ayres’ product range in his/her region on an ongoing basis, identifies weaknesses and makes recommendations with regard to new product introductions and deletions.
    • Allocates products in short supply in his/her region in line with market potential to ensure maximum long-term sales.
    • Determines regional promotion/advertising needs and formulates and implements an effective product support programme in conjunction with the National Product Manager(s).
    • Ensures that all promotional/advertising support material and sales aids are freely available to Sales Representatives and customers in his/her region.

    Personnel Management

    • Appoints Sales Representatives and other regional marketing personnel in line with regions needs and approved budgets.
    • Determines training needs of regional sales personnel and implements suitable and approved training programmes as and when required.
    • Motivates and supports regional sales personnel maintaining a high morale at all times.
    • Evaluates the performance of regional sales personnel on a regular basis, takes corrective action as and when necessary, and recommends and motivates salary adjustments and promotions.
    • Keeps regional sales personnel fully informed at all times of any changes within the Company that may affect their activities.
    • Ensures that regional personnel fully co-operates with other departments within the Company in the execution of their duties.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Marketing Diploma/Degree (FMCG Industry)
    • Drivers License
    • Sales and Marketing Skills
    • 5 year experience in the retail industry.
    • Sales management experience (advantageous)
    • Willing to travel

    Plennegy Research: General Worker

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Seed counting and packaging
    • Soaking, washing and drying seedling trays
    • Preparing seedling mix for seedling tray filling
    • Tray filling with seedling mix
    • Sowing according to the sowing list
    • Moving seedling trays from germ room to seedling house after 72 hrs of sowing and putting in order
    • Preparing seedling mix for planting pots
    • Filling of planting pots with seedling mix
    • Moving in filled pots and arranging them in the greenhouses
    • Connecting drippers to the pots
    • Moving seedlings from seedling house to greenhouses and field
    • Making planting holes in the field
    • Transplanting
    • Preparing ropes for trellising and connecting them to the cables and then to the plants
    • Identifying flowers that are at the right stage on the female plants and undertaking emasculation following the crossing book provided by the breeder
    • Making pollination according to the crossing book
    • Writing labels and marking crossed flowers accordingly

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) (Essential)
    • Experience in the agricultural industry is advantageous
