    Technician - Gas Installer (Pinetown)

    Overview and Key Responsibilities

    The Technician will be responsible for performing and ensuring all engineering operations and projects processors within the KZN Region. Key areas of responsibility for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Performing and ensuring the efficient operation of the ESD maintenance and projects section department to meet corporate and legal requirements.
    • Ensuring that all on site installations and maintenance to meet high quality workmanship and of contractors.
    • Always ensuring the highest level of safety EHS&Q requirements to eliminate risk to personnel and property.

    Essential Requirements

    • Grade 12 with Maths and Science;
    • A minimum N3 Certificate as a Millwright with Red Seal Trade Tested Artisan;
    • Proven records of Apprenticeship;
    • SAQCC Installer certified (advantageous);
    • Basic Fire Certificate, First Aid Certification, and Working at Heights Certificate (advantageous);
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy engineering/production environment within the Gas or related industry;
    • At least 5 years of experience in a Technician capacity;
    • Experience with all levels of customers and suppliers. Dealing with and supervising contractors;
    • Must have good verbal and written communication skills;
    • Must have a valid unendorsed code 08 driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle;
    • Must be willing to work overtime and travel when required;
    • Must be willing to be on standby on weekends and public holidays;

    Office Administrator - Fixed Term Contract

    Overview & Key Responsibilities

    The Office Administrator will be responsible for administrative support and the key areas of responsibility for    this role would include but are not limited to:

    • Management of Switchboard and Reception;
    • Responsible for filling and document control;
    • Assisting in handling procurement;
    • Providing administrative support to procurement, debtors, customer services, commercial, engineering, production, distribution, and SHERQ functions;
    • Assisting with all other applicable administrative duties. 

    Essential Requirements

    • Matric with post qualification in Office Administration or related field;
    • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in office administration;
    • Strong organization and administrative skills;
    • Deadline-driven, ability to work under pressure;
    • Good verbal and written communication skills;
    • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships;
    • Must have a valid unendorsed driver’s license and own transport;
    • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office suite.

    Internal Sales Engineer

    Key Overview and Responsibilities

    • The Internal Sales Engineer will be responsible for customer service, administration, and sales support-related duties for Specialty Gas Sales products such as BIP, Liquid helium, imported & exported, and customer-owned cylinders.

    The key areas of responsibility for this role which include but are not limited to:

    • Capturing of sales quotes on JDE 9.1, pro-forma invoices, and sales proposals.
    • Raising and capturing MRs on JDE for local customers and outright purchases.
    • Responsible for processing sales orders manually and telephonically.
    • Raising purchase orders on JDE (OR, OL, OK).
    • Forwarding of commercial correspondence to relevant recipients.
    • Completion of relevant documentation and correspondence.
    • Follow up on routine documentation approval status and customer queries.
    • Quoting standard & non-standard gases and current prices on customer’s request.
    • Handling queries on imports, exports, stock lists and pricing.
    • Responsible for general internal spec sales and general administrative responsibilities.
    • Provide support to the Sales Engineers and Sales Manager.
    • Calling on existing customers.
    • Support regions with import mixtures, equipment and canister inquiries.

    Essential Requirements

    • Must have a completed Matric/Grade 12 qualification.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales, customer service and administration.
    • Must be customer service-orientated in a commercial environment.
    • Proven ability to negotiate at high levels and build strong relationships.
    • Must have good organisational & communication skills.
    • Must have good administrative skills and excellent attention to detail.
    • Proficiency with MS Office packages; and experience on JDE will be advantageous.
    • Valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle.
